@@KDD8 can use it on yr replays too ^^ in general if you feel like yr aim's on target & yr missing: it comes down to movement. even a TINY amount of movement (yr character not yr aim-point ofc) can throw bullets way off target.

-He needs to start learning the maps (utility) he likes best and practicing on one individual map at a time
-He needs to figure out his sens because it looks like it's not at his preferred sweet spot
-He needs to practice a ton on workshop maps, DM and keep the MM grind
-He needs to start watching pro CS and learn the certain/subtle parts of the game (Develop good habits)
-He needs to develop better reaction time and learn crosshair placement for individual maps via yprac workshops
He's got a lot of work to do. My friend just started CSGO a year ago and his love for the game drove him to watch pro cs streams and practice. He's now GN3 and pretty good at the game after being stuck in Silver

theres so much new players, they make plays that are so strange it just catches you off guard so i wouldn't suggest watching pro cs because you're not playing against pro players. not saying it is useless at all ive learned a lot from watching pro cs but its not really the same cs now as much as they say it is. i pray it will get better. or just go back.

idk man im silver 2 and i feel like im way better than him. idk if me being in the aus region affects stuff but all my other silver 2 friends know how to counterstrafe, throw correct smokes etc

Yea, i think region affects it a bit, mm is a mixed bag in india, ive played against mgs who should clearly be higher ranked and have played against dmgs who whiff any chance they get, but you have to take into account smurfing, boosting, cheating and network issues as well as different skill set per person that might muddle up mm ranking system a lot
One thing im sure of tho is if you look at your own demo, you will see a lot more mistakes than you think you usually make, everyone seems to think they are fairly good players until they start analysing their demos, even on matches you 40 bomb the enemy there are always things you can improve, gl

this looks like a case of "not enough hours" to know the VERY basic stuff
Been Global for 2 years (also been Faceit 10 before) and I'm still shooting before my crosshair is on target. I think this is one of the biggest problems in my gameplay that I just cannot get rid of. My quick flick aim / spray compensations is at the perfect point of "good enough to work most of the time" but "bad enough to lose at least 2-3 rounds ever game because of it".
I've been working hard to get this fixed, playing DM almost every day, but no luck yet. Recently I've started trying to slow it down in DM and really focus on being on the opponent before I start shooting, but I just cannot replicate this in a real game. We'll see if it works eventually.
The second biggest problem with my aim is that my brain constantly instinctively tries to predict where a player will be, and like 60% of the time it's completely off. Like when a player is standing at a ledge I would start spraying as if the player was falling off, even though he's still up there. Sometimes I just wanna punch my brain real bad.

What you describe can be the result of microstutters and dropped frames, not just your brain. There is a good chance you are experiencing inconsistent input latency.
In CS:GO, the higher your frame rate, the better your hit registration will be. This could be why you are missing shots even though you feel like your flick and click timing is good. You need to be on the target with your crosshair for at least the duration of a single frame before you shoot in order for the shot to register. This problem gets worse during frame hiccups or microstutters. In other words, the enemy needs to be under your crosshair during the same frame as when your input is registered in order for your shot to register as a hit. If you move your crosshair to a target and shoot in less time than the time it takes for a single frame to render, your shot isn’t counted as a hit. At 100fps, you have to wait 10ms from the last frame before you shoot after you flick. At 200fps, it’s 5ms. Then at 400fps it’s 2.5ms. Ideally, you would run the game at 1000fps for a 1ms delay, which would ensure proper hit registration even during some of the fastest possible flicks. Try capping your frames via the NVIDIA Control Panel.
Microstutters can be caused by bad RAM, incorrect BIOS settings, using -high and other destabilising launch options, and various other issues related to your setup.
Clean your mousepad and your mouse sensor on a weekly basis.
Make sure m_rawinput is set to 1.
Besides the various technical tips I have mentioned, your mentality could also be causing you to misplace your crosshair. Go into an aim training map and force yourself to slow everything down. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast, and fast is deadly. That should be your mantra. Turn everything you do into a stepwise process aligned with your playstyle. You mentioned your style of play is quite similar to Apex, so watch how he aims, then watch slowed-down footage of your own gameplay and compare your aim to his.
@@leonbraukmann9076 Thanks for taking the time to write this, but except for the last paragraph none of it applies to me. My problem isn't technical, it's physical. I sometimes simply cannot keep my hands from shaking off. I know this is something that's probably fixable with even more training, but I don't have the time or patience for that. Since I wrote this comment I have accepted that I have reached my skill ceiling, and I'm happy with where I am most of the time now. I have achieved everything there is to achieve aside from going pro, so I think I can be happy with that 😜
best advise is to play only deagle on public servers and to only shoot when your crosshair is pointing at the head like i did for like 4 weeks when i started with css in 2006. in the first 2 weeks you will struggle a lot and die way more often then usual but after that it becomes natural, and you will only target the head. even if i dont play active anymore since 9 years, i have still the highest headshot rate in my games when i like to play cs for a few weeks. but at my peak skill wise which was like 2008-2013 even with like a 2 year break in between i did like 30-60 deagle one shots in a row playing on public servers which get me banned a lot on the servers during that time... once i played 1 vs 7 on dust 2 cuz everyone on the server was trying to beat me, and end with 72:2 stats with at least 60 deagle one shots in a row which was completly normal to me while playing only deagle even in the eas. even if i know that 99% of the people will never come close to that level skill/aim wise its the best advise i can give to practise with the deagle to perfect the aim like i did years ago. it will also improve your movement a lot in combat situations, cuz you get forced to move more agile to avoid enemy hits. but it takes a lot of perseverance which the most people dont have in this case.

"I topfrag every game but don't rank up" - literally what all people say in silver til MG. And then they not only play as bad as the person in your video but also doesn't even have a clue what he is doing. For example 8:48, why would you buy an ump and armor with 1500 dollar left - against CT's? If you want to buy in that scenario then please buy headarmor... and utility. Also the whole team is just buying random stuff. I'd like to say that there is so much to work on but it's literally everything he has to work on. And that's why he doesn't rank up because that is the rank he currently deserves.

Some people forget when you hit the first shot, their movespeed is heavily reduced so you can land the rest easy.
I’m also in silver and I urge my teammates and friends who are less experienced than me to focus on getting comfortable using one kind of utility at a time and don’t feel pressured to use all your utility whenever you have it. I find that super new players (who I play with all the time) get overwhelmed having a bunch of utility and feel like they have to use it and end up dying over and over again with grenades out. While utility is very important, if you’re a very new player, please only use utility when you’re 100% certain you aren’t about to get pushed and especially don’t run around corners or peak angles with utility in hand

- Missed smoke
- More than 1 player not buying any utility
- Getting 10 kills w/ this spray control

"Can't run and spray" Oh they can, trust me, i've been one tapped more times than I can count by players running and spraying.
I've met too many people who are just like this, including his teammates. I'll tell you what the misunderstanding is, it's people who think "play for picks" means get holed up on Short/Catwalk on Dust2 until one CT is left THEN push A. They don't realize it means "push where you kill" because for some reason it's a thing to assume a role in the game that *doesn't need to push* will just casually walk into several angles the first minute of the round. Same people will literally walk from one site to another when the bomb is planted and after the round when they're asked why they did it they'll say they were looking for a lurker. Same people literally will throw you to the slaughter just to know how many people are on a site. I'm a bit confused as per why someone who runs and sprays would ask for help unless you're dealing with someone who has done zero homework because to say you want to improve something means you have it to begin with. If it's anxiety then you're never going to improve through means of the game, you need to practice breathing and clearing your mind. I use a breathing technique when I know 100% I am about to have a huge opportunity on a round win because that's when the anxiety creeps. Realize that the enemy queued in just like you did and they want to win just like you do. Realize your teammates only get upset because they want what you want. Be kind to yourself and enjoy the game.

Hey im relativly new to the game, i've watched some of Voo's vids and this one 2 times, but still have some questions specifically about these topics:
5:22 where exactly should he be standing instead
5:45 cant control my teammates, what to do instead if they dont support
8:45 "not the way he does it here" what does that mean, what way of fast swing whould have worked or is there just no "working way of fast swing" for players on this level
11:20 what position whould have been better and what were the indicators that he should have went for that other position, i guess just beeing around ticket and ignoring fast ways to mid
would be nice if a veteran (or anyone with more brain than me) could clarify them
1. He answered earlier at 3:16
2. Use utility. For example a smoke to lurk from after jumping from window would do you much good
3.Generally the POV of the character is right in the middle on the head. So basically if your opponent doesnt see your head you wont see him. But you have shoulders too so you will be seen before you see them. Get farther away from the corner to combat that.
4.It's just not a good position to be in. You dont see much and he isnt peeking anywhere so if they decide to push site, he wont be able to do much especially since he is alone on site. As Voo explained someone will ferrari peek you from top stairs. Also someone could come from connector as well. As for you last question, I im not sure since i dont really play there and im not really a veteran but he probably wanted him to clear out connector first and then hold stairs.
Keep in mind im not really a veteran but these are in my eyes somewhat viable options. I would love for someone even more experienced to correct me or add more so i can learn more myself
His positioning is not why he is failing at S4. He moves while shooting. You need to counter strafe for 1 key press before you fire.
Some stutter step shooting practice and good aim will get him to MG. Utilities will get you to LE. Positioning will get you to GE.
Without the prior steps, you'll be stuck in silver/gold forever

My first FPS was valorant, and i'm not that good, but i recently started playing CS and went straight to Gold 1. I'm glad because silver sounds like a nightmare.
Don't worry gold nova is it's own nightmare. And don't even get me started on Master Guardian... I got from silver 1 to supreme and MGE is the rank I encountered the most hackers.

Since i come from CS and League, Valorant was unbelievably easy to me. Big head hitboxes, practically the same gun mechanics (besides spraying, it looks very random in val still) i knew how to position, learned the maps fast, knew how to use utility/abilities, knew where to place crosshair and i was already good at aiming. I find that players in val are easier to kill. Valorant made me go back to cs cause i liked to be challenged. To me - Val is more fun if i wanna chill and cs more fun if i want to be challenged.
(And a contradiction here - When i got to diamond thats the place where i saw a spike in cs/league players like myself and it became challenging and considerably less fun idk why.)
I played only Sova, Breach and Omen so i wasnt very versatile in my picks so i would've been hardstuck diamond. Havent played in a while and thats the problem for me. Like in league new characters get released so once you stop for a while you are basically in a disadvantage until you learn all the ability cds, range and what they do and how to play off them if you team uses those new characters. Maybe i'll go back in for a few games since i've been bored lately + cs feel like a drag to play rn i just wanna have fun.

I think his problem is mostly movement. He really gotta learn to counter strafe and shoot.
Also his positioning could be better but I can't recommend him that cuz you need somewhat beter teammates for that to work.
He shouldn't use smokes if he has no idea what to use them for. He has to have an idea before he buys it, otherwise it's money lost for nothing and potential death while holding a smoke (although unlikely to be killed the way he is hiding). I'd recommend him to use flashes or mollys or nades (and smokes if he knew what to use them for).
Biggest improvement he needs is counterstrafing and shooting while standing with sometimes crouching for accuracy. His aim isn't terrible for s4.
Later he gonna have to learn to be teamplayer (and learn smokes he can memorize)

Hey Voo, do you have any content on playing more consistent? Sometimes I have confidence like S1mple and drop 30+ kills, and other times I can’t even hit shots on static targets.
Sleep well, be hydrated, play DM before comp, if you notice you have bad day take a break.
Also take breaks often in between games. Mental/physical health also plays a huge role I believe.
I find that i do better when i play while im happy which is weird tip to give

Played one good game and getting top frag, the next match i got matchmaked to a bunch of high elo players while my teammates were silver enough to not know how to keep the crosshair placement that isnt the floor

The problem a lot of people have is that they think they're a lot better than they actually are. Instead of saying "I top frag every game" or "my team always sucks", analyse your games, see what YOU'RE doing wrong and spend the time to improve on those things. You can always train aim, movement etc. No matter what rank you are.

"I topfrag every game but don't rank up" -> If you consistently top frag every game but dont rank up, it means only 2 things. You lose those games and your kills were just bait kills. Why do I say this? I did all of these a lot back when I was in silver 5 years ago. That is why I was stuck in silver despite playing the game for almost 1k hours back then. I changed my mindset and approach to the game. Found 4 random pugs during one of my games. They added me to play with them and we helped each other out. Got out of silver hell and never went back to silver ever since then.
Also in silver games, it is best to find a group of people who you can play with so you guys can get out silver together. Keep playing with the same group of people and develop good chemistry with them which would further improve your gameplay.
Just practice some workshop maps and watch pro plays and replay the peeks in your mind. This will help you get much better. I was DMG and I had stopped playing csgo for months due to life, came back a few years later and dropping 40-55 bombs every game

I was Nova 3 then began to play with my non-prime friends. I dropped to sem, played prime again aaaaaand I'm back to Nova 3. Just fought an entire team of spinbotters yesterday and I'm 300% sure they're gonna get off Scot-free.
I'm actually non prime, and I get a lot of notifications from games I played when I first started, that the people I reported got banned. Not only that but I havent had a single hacker in about 30-35 games
@@KevinBGB that's good for you I guess because for april-May alone, every time I'd play In non-prime the enemy would either have 1 hacker or the entire enemy team spinbotting.

Well i usually smoke then molotove b to get a good placement and cathc them in choke areas

I'm not going to lie, this is how match making should play out. The lowest ranks but also some really really newbie stuff. I've spectated matches in Silver that have perfect peeking and know exactly where everyone is to pre-fire.

You have to remember, most people does not play in comps, so getting support from someone is most likely not to happen in soloq.
