I have the kawasaki bayou 300 4x4 klf-C and theres no marking on the threads or motor to line up. I need to adjust valves, but not sure what to do with no mark.

Hey 1970chevy07, I was going thru my opened projects today, I'm fixing some of these things too quickly, I hope I don't run out of interesting things to work on.... Thanks for your encouragement, watching, and commenting!!!!

Easier to unbolt the front motor mount and lossen the rear and tilt the whole engine up on the front.

takes a lot of invested hours to put a broken machine back into service....i know I have several 100 hours into my yamaha between the cleaning and polishing of 40 years worth of dirt oil and grease then the painting then the finding all the parts needed and mechanicals it all adds up to equal a lot of time

Where is the stock mounting location of the ignition switch? I can't find one reference to it.

that is exactly the way i feel about working on my stuff i won't stand for anyone trying to rush me there is only one way to do this stuff the right way and it is not always easy and takes a very long time sometimes i have to walk away because someone will piss me off and then my mind is not right for my work learned the hard way and messed a lot of stuff before i learned the does and dont s and you know as well as i do it cost a lot of money to learn that lol

On a 300ex there's room to pull it apart. I would rather build the engine on the bike because its very hard to get a complete engine out and in one of those frames.

Hey Bill, I'm not sure that I am strong enough to maneuver a fully built Lakota KEF300 engine into the frame, my back hurts just thinking about it.... Thanks for understanding, watching, and commenting!!!!

I think 50 dollars an hour is being kind. I don't know of ANY shop around me that charges less than 100. They want 100 to pick it up and 100 just to look at it... then at least 100 an hour to work in it. So, and I see this all the time, people simply throw things out and buy a new unit FOR LESS. My wife is a good sport, but not as good a sport as your wife. If I can't fix it, I strip parts and scrap the rest. And what am I gonna do with 10 lawn mowers and five snowblowers? I give them away.
