This video would benefit from explanation of need to achieve tdc on compression stroke. Either, observe inlet valve close and then turn fly wheel anticlockwise to mentioned mark...or place finger or tissue over spark plug hole to confirm compression THEN move flywheel to tdc mark. Also, make sure you read mm gaps using the appropriate metric feeler gauges. Ask how I know this...... :0)

The "T" mark appears twice per cycle doesn't it??? Are you supposed to adjust valve clearance on the compression cycle? How do i know when it is on the compression cycle. I followed this video and adjusted my valves before, but im not sure if it was on the compression cycle. It worked, i must have got lucky. Thank you

You are correct. TDCC - top dead center compression. You'll want all the valves closed when checking the clearance. Therefore, if you turn slowly you can see valves open and close. As soon as both are seated, start looking for the T mark. If you are on the wrong stroke, your exhaust valves will be open slightly. Let me know if that helps. Thanks for watching. Do you know anything about wiring? I have the same body as this wheeler and my lights turn on but the starter won't start. When the ignition switch is turned it ticks from the starting Relay. Any ideas?

While I'm a year late. I just gotta add. If it's not the battery, try a different starter solenoid. I literally had this exacty issue, clicking solenoid but starter not engaging at all. Just because the solenoid clicks, doesn't mean its good. In my case, trying to short the solenoid with a screw driver didn't do anything so that was a giveaway it was dead.
