  • Fishing for Bluefin tuna aboard the Excalibur out of H&M Landing. We absolutely DESTROY the bluefin on this trip, catching crew limits. I was able to beat my previous best tuna with a 92 monster fish! So stoked to be able to share this video with you all. Trip of a lifetime and its still April! Insane early season bluefin action.

10:30 is just the best feeling when at the rail... when everyone gets bit going down the line... biter, biter, biter, biter, fresh one! 👍

I just want to say I love your enthusiasm and effort the fact you popped off two one of them at the boat but kept a good attitude and ended up being rewarded for it is great I’d love to fish with you some day

Thanks man! Yeah I'll say that I was definitely bummed about the first fish, frustrated when the camera wasn't rolling but definitely have to stay positive and grind it out. Bluefin is a GRIND! You have to get your ass to the rail and stay there. When I hooked that first fish everyone but 5 people had gone to bed already. Gotta stay committed.

Rob is always hooked up. Super chill guy, and willing to hook and hand off for those not as fishy as he is (which is most us 😅).

Unlike a trip went on a few year ago on the Excel they described to shut down for the night by Coronado and quit fishing for the night I was so mad ...lol

Last year I went to San Diego and got on a charter boat I felt that the captain overshot his point because everybody had a bunch of up in the back of the boat almost every time then he was trolling some lines out when it should be the customers opportunity shoot he could even rented that spot for additional fee they wanted to did not like the company I went to hopefully I can find another captain that has a better crew and Captain the other company when we landed caught a hell a lot more the elite 30 and we only caught 10

thats gonna be ur minimum setup for what there seeing right now. 60-80 pound minimum in the day and you need all the line capacity possible for these big ones. i got spooled on a fathom 30 getting bit in the day on a salas 6x jr chrome all that would bite was 100+ pound models on my last trip may 6th
