That’s a good Idea, but get the AiPAS bike instead. It’s made by the same company that makes all the bikes for Lectric, just that it has more options and is $300.00 less. Good luck 👍
I am in the market for my 4th e-bike so you can imagine that I have watched an enormous amount of videos in the process. This presentation was by far the most comprehensive that I have ever viewed. Thank you Professor.
Looking to buy the 3.0 lectric your presentation was clear; comprehensive and loved your video made it easy to appreciate what this model had to offer The fact that you are familiar with the 2.0 made it an easy choice for me. I am living out of the country and found the 3.0 lectric was hard to find. Strols in ajijic mexico does not carry the 3.0 but can get them shipped for a price. And is still a better price then what they have at their shop. Thanks Robert
My Husband and I went to Lectric today after watching your video, I am 4’10 and wanted to make sure the bike wasn’t to big for me, we were greeted by Mario who took care of us and he was awesome!! He set me up by adjusting the seat, handlebars, and gave me the confidence to even take a test drive, fell in love with this bike and am ordering mine this week! We also let Mario know about your video recommending their bikes, Thank you for your well informed video, you & the wife were awesome!
We're so glad to hear you got to try it out first. Kudos to Mario for being so helpful. Getting on and riding the bike is really the only way to know for sure. I'm assuming you're going for the XP 3 step through??
Regarding step-through vs regular frame, I'm just gonna add a quick tip for people: if you're using the bike as a cargo bike, shopping, loading the rear rack/basket up, a step-through frame is more convenient because you don't have to try to get your leg up over the load, or manage the balance stepping over a heavily loaded bike. Just simply step through the middle, sit down, and away you go. The step-through potentially reduces the risk of a tip-over when mounting or un-mounting a heavily loaded bike. Also, as she was saying at 28:40, the pedals on the step-through are a little lower than the regular (look at the 2 bikes from the side, you'll see the crank where the pedals attach are in different places; the step-through is just slightly lower because the crank is mounted on the lowest part of the step-through frame's "V"). That means it's slightly longer from the seat to pedal-bottom than the regular frame, which may be a little better for tall people with long legs. So yeah, just a couple notes about frame geometry that don't really have anything to do with "beginners". I'm a 6'1" young male with no hesitation about riding this bike hard and fast, and I went with the step-through because it fits my use-case better.
How's this for customer service and backing your product.......Early July I bought a Lectric 3.0 from a gentleman on Craigslist with ONE mile on it. His medical situation changed before he had a chance to ride this bike. It was pristine. I put it on my rear carrier and took off from Scottsdale for a 2 month adventure. Bent the handlebars, broke the left brake handle and crushed the controller on the second day on a rough road north of the Grand Canyon. Could not ride it all summer - so MAD at myself for poorly stowing my new bike. Totally my fault. Got back early September and took it in to Lectric Bikes and to my amazement - THEY REPLACED EVERY PART AND WOULD NOT TAKE PAYMENT FROM ME!!!!!!! All the parts were FREE. I did the repairs and I'm riding it today. Thank you, Lectric Bikes.
I bought my 3.0 straight from lectric headquarters brought it home it had some issues so I took it back for them to check it out so a little while later they came back out and gave me a whole new bike I've had zero problems since They was beyond wonderful
Thank you so much for this timely video. My 2.0 was attacked yesterday by a deranged person on my bike path and I immediately ordered a replacement. Today, I saw this video and realized there was a newer model. Lectric had already fulfilled my order in less than 24 hours, but I called and was able to change from a 2.0 to a 3.0. If I hadn't seen this video today, I would have regretted seeing it later!
Wow! Sorry to hear about the attack on your bike. That's crazy. Glad you were able to get one of these new ones. It's definitely an improvement on an already great bike. Enjoy!
Explain... Attacked. Wth happened? Curious minds are wondering and you know this. Anyway! I have my step over XP 3.0 and I love it! If anybody attacks my bike while I'm riding it? I attack back. Because f*ck that!
@@TheFLOMAN76 This guy was walking along the paved path and lunged at an oncoming bicyclist. I thought it was a one-time thing, so I continued. Then he kicked my bike as I passed him. I stopped to confront him while the other bicyclist called the police. I backed away from him with my bike to await arrival of the police, but then he ran toward my bike, knocked it over, and then began jumping on it. I wasn't sure if I could legally use force to protect my property in this situation, so I filmed it (he was half my age and I didn't believe I could physically stop him ... my other options seemed excessive) . The man fled soon afterward, but was eventually caught by police. The police explained that he was mentally unstable, was having an "episode," and was being transported to the VA hospital, and then asked me what I wanted to do. I elected to not press charges because I saw no utility in it.
I’ve been watching a lot of reviews on different brand bikes, because I haven’t purchased an eBike, yet. You need to know, that you two have done the best review with the best explaining of how everything works! Better than everyone!! Especially for people new to EBikes!! You are so kind, taking the time to explain what might seem obvious to some, but so necessary for beginners! Melissa, as an older woman, when you said that you now prefer the standard bike over the step through, I could have hugged you! That’s exactly how I feel! My regular bicycle has a bar, so I’m used to swinging my leg over. Thank you for sharing all your thoughts!! Are you still able to startle the bar? You look kinda tall. I’m about 5’3”. I can go on line and check the measurements. Thank you both, for this outstanding video!!! 😉
That's so nice of you. We really appreciate the thoughtful feedback. Yes I am 5-5 and can step over the bar just fine, but the step-through is sooo much easier. Hope that helps. Hugs back :)
Video was wonderful. Just got my 3.0 and I really LOVE it. The only thing that irks me is where the key/lock/power site is. It is upside down and hard to reach. I am 73 and arthritic so I find it uncomfortable and awkward for me. I'm not being petty. I just do not understand why they would put it in an almost inaccessible spot? Have you heard this from any other 'senior' riders?
You're not alone. The key on the bottom is a common complaint. Plus the cable gets in the way which can also be annoying. At least it won't fall out when turned on. Enjoy riding!
I just bought my Lectric bike before I watched the part with your referral link, so here's a breakfast sandwich for you! Been subscribed to your channel for years. Love the content, and your many ebike videos have been very helpful. Thanks!!
Just an FYI: Ordered mine today (in June '23) and Lectric has upgraded the 3.0 to include hydraulic brakes and some new electronic control device, something they call PWR (sorry, I don't know more about that at this time). Also they included the comfort seat and suspension post package for free!
Wow. Thanks for the heads up. Those are great NEW standard features. I wish I had hydraulic brakes 😄. They are so much better. The PWR is Pedal-Assist Wattage Regulation. Sounds like it makes acceleration smoother and more efficient like some of the more expensive competitor bikes. What a deal!! I appreciate you taking the time to tell me.
Tito: I started watching your RV videos many years ago. I remember you as a person that was very clear and accurate, and very thorough in covering your subject. Ie: I learned to trust you As soon as I saw you covering the Lectric bike, stopped and watched. These are amazing bikes with a great backstory about father and son garage startup. I'm definitely getting a 3.0 after watching this video by you and your lovely wife. Thank you!!
This was a superlative review. Have always enjoyed you guys (but didn't realize I wasn't a subscriber until now) and you always give great tips and advice on RV stuff. It was refreshing to see you guys do a bike review. I am seeing retrospectively because my husband and I got our new bikes today, and boy was shipping quick! But for your review, I loved the way each of you handed off different segments to each other and covered SO many features that I have not been seeing from other creators, even though they're reviews were often longer. So many great tips, tricks, pros and safety awareness points. You guys really did a great job in confirming that I'd spent money on some great bikes. Cheers!
Pretty decent review of this entry level e-bike. I got into/on the Lectric XP 1st edition, with the fork that had NO suspension. It's nice to see that some of the modifications I made to mine have been improved to a similar level. Examples are the "cassette" I changed out to 11 tooth high gear for the exact reason you stated. Trying to pedal at 25+ mph was like doing a sprint, and at over 65 years old that doesn't last very long. I put mirrors on each side for rearward visibly as my head doesn't like to turn as far around as it did when I was 12. I changed out my brakes to an aftermarket hydraulic system, don't remember if they were 180 or 203 mm disc. In your video, you mentioned being visible with I went somewhat crazy with several flashing lights, 2 rearward and 1 front, plus reflective tape on side components. With the drivers these days being on phones, texting, etc. one needs to be seen even if it's a bit overboard. I'd rather be laughed at than pushing up daisies.
I’d never laugh at you for being to cautious, I’d say you must live in Arizona where there’s someone every week if not more being run over by the drivers out here! Stay safe and ride defensively always.🙂
Great review. Have my bike for about 4 months now. Everything he said was true and helpful. In pedal assist 5, i got mine to 33 mph. This is by far the best e-bike for the amount it cost. The e-bike people in the office are always helpful and knowlegable.
I just ordered the XP 3.0 and found you channel looking for more info. This video should be a must see for anyone buying or considering the XP 3.0 - it’s terrific- maybe the most useful video of its type. Good work!
Thanks Tito and Melissa for a very thoughtful, through and very comprehensive video on the 2.0 and 3.0 XP bikes. You guys are amazing for presenting a full detailed video on the two Lectric bikes. The two of you gave us full understanding of, all the new features. And the difference between the old and The new bike. Thanks so much for an amazing video presentation. Keep those videos coming. God bless you Tito and Melissa. Thanks 🙏
Excellent video. We have been shopping for two eBikes and leaning from conventional to lower profile (like the old Banana Bikes) for my wife and myself. Having a male and female play a role in the video really helped, in fact it swayed me from two step-through to one of each. Also comments from a safety standpoint of turning off the motor before dismounting is a great idea - would not have thought of it. Back to beginning - that part of the video was great, as it will help my wife be more confident about riding. I could go on, but will stop at this. Dave and Donna now in Manitowoc WI (formerly Denver, Green Valley AZ + AK + KS). And yes, retired in mid-70s (76 and 75).
Your video answered all of my questions I had. After 2 weeks of trying to decide whether to buy, I will buy the white and blue XP 3.0 for my wife right now. Thank you for the great video
This is the second of your videos that I have viewed about the Lectric line of bikes and it is so obvious that you want to share all of the information and tips that you have acquired through your own real life experience, reading/studying, etc., and for that thank you very much! It is all very helpful! I am so tempted to buy the long-range version of the XP 3.0, but my Rad Power RadCity Step-Thru 3 isn't even a year old yet, so it's hard to justify another e-bike so soon (darn it!). But, I've come to really like what I have seen, heard, and read about Lectric's line of bikes, and the XP 3.0 long range will likely be my next e-bike. Liked (a lot) and subscribed!
Thanks for the great feedback. No need to rush into a new bike. There are new ones coming out every day. Today's new model will be tomorrow's sale model :)
Thank you.Very helpful.I've had a Prodeco,500watt now for 9 years and never had to fix it except for tires and tubes.I just ordered a 3.0 xp lectric because mine is a 26" frame and hard to get in a car.I know I will enjoy this bike and had to pay extra to get it to Canada Excellent video
Great review Brian and Melissa! Agree totally with the bright colors to wear and flashing rear light. I also use a flashing front light which has actually helped me more than the rear when approaching and intersection and a car is turning into my lane. They seem to always see the flashing bright white light. Even with the bright colors and lights you must still be aware as there are many distracted drivers out there with cell phones and LED displays in their cars. I got rear ended four years ago by a hot and run driver and had all of the colors and lights on! I have over 3,000 miles on my Lectric 1.0 and am considering the new 3.0, especially with the extended battery!
So far, of all the vids I watched (including Lectric) yours's is by far the best! I got way more important tips and instruction then anywhere else. The tip on putting the bike at PAS 0 is probably the best. I would have gotten off without even thing about that and end up hurt or more. Thank you and I will definitely use this vid as a reference guide.
I’ve watched lots of reviews. This is the best introduction for new ebike riders. Not too many tech facts, but a lot of good tips. This is also the clearest description of the gear ratios. I’ve heard numbers and had a vague idea of what it means, but now I get it.
2.0 owner here. The Black Friday sale got me. I'm in! The passenger package for the wife who can't ride anymore is a huge deal. I got the step thru extended range and all the goodies on the Black Friday is a deal. Going to be interesting checking this thing out!
I truly enjoyed your review…and I rarely if ever watch videos this long! We’re looking to buy two XP 3.0 Lectric e-bikes soon, so this was extremely helpful.
Great review. Thank you. I have an original 1.0 XP ST and upgraded to the 3.0, basically for the new suspension, longer range, improved flywheel. Love these bikes! Great for country roads & hills.
Thanks. Yes. The 3.0 is a great upgrade. Did you get the new hydraulic brakes? If not you can get an upgrade kit. I just installed it in a recent video.
As stated in all of the previous comments.....nicely done! Thanks Brian and Melissa. I do wish Lectric had outlets or showrooms in our area of the Northwest to kick the tires on them before making a purchase.
I took my first ride on my XP 3.0 today. I got it about a month ago ,,,,the same week. I injured my 74 year old knee. I didn’t over do it but I really enjoyed the few miles I did. I would love to ride more tomorrow but snow is predicted. Yes, central Arizona has snow at 6300 ft . Chris ⭐️
I am an experienced rider with road/mtn bikes since 2006, but I recently had medical issues which have affected my stamina. I have been eyeing the Lectric bikes for about a year now and your review of the XP 3.0 has convinced me to buy one. Thank you for your in-depth review. I hope with this bike to increase my stamina and perhaps ride regular bikes again.
Which do you prefer riding, the XP 3.0 or the XP 3.0 Step Thru? I've heard reviews that the step thru handles a little better due to the lower center of gravity. Also that the step thru felt a little more solid? I liked your review & would love to hear your honest input.
My preference is the standard model. It really is a matter of personal preference though. There's a certain simplicity and comfort level to the step through that makes it very appealing and fun. It's very easy to jump in/out of, but it does have slightly lower clearance. If I'm on mixed terrain or go off-road with it, the pedals might scrape the ground or a rock on a tight turn. So you have to be aware of it and adjust your riding a little. We actually find the standard model to have a more rigid feel to it because the main support is higher and rides right down the middle. The step through models, like this one and the XPremium, are great but just have a different feel to them. With a little weight on the back, it almost feels like there are two parts to the bike (front and back) that move independently with a pivot point where the hinge is. This is not a bad thing...it's just different. Not the case with the standard model. Hope that helps!
I bought the 2.0 a year ago. Still works well. For the brakes, I apply a mix of 91% alcohol and Bon Ami cleaner on the brake rotors. Turn the wheels and apply the brakes. Wipe off the remaining mixture. The brakes stay quite and work well.
Thank you for the excellent video. We have already ordered two 3.0 bikes and then I found your video, which will be very helpful in getting used to our first ebikes.
Love love love this video. I was looking for a video where a woman reviewed it or at least had some input. And this video was awesome for me and you also taught me a lot as far as keeping the straps so that when you folded excellent point. Because most people probably don't think Far ahead that the straps would be easy to use that keep the Bike. Thank you for helping a Lady out!
We bought two long-range step-throughs with the passenger seat for a granddaughter. Going to fashion some guards from flexible cutting boards along the rear sides to make it safer for her feet. Thanks for sharing.
Great review, thanks. I am not quite ready but seriously considering an electric bike. The hesitation is because I live off hwy 42s and it can be dangerous. This said, the alternative is having a better left rack. I gave Dutch doors in the back of the mini motorhome and still need to access easily. So … the idea is to carry one folded and off to the left or easily swing it out of the way. I can’t see removing it each time. Then if I go somewhere and want to explore then I’ll create a self justification…. Again great review.
I've been riding my Lectric 2.0 for over a year. I've got over 5000 commuter miles and it's better than I had expected. The 3.0 sounds like a big improvement, especially the 14 ah battery for longer range.
Thank you for such well-informed insight into this e-bike. Your review was clear & concise, and it addressed all of the questions I had regarding this particular model. Thanks to your video, I think I’ve made my choice!
For not riding a bike for over 40 years and never on the street only as a teenager that's exactly what I did no pedal assist just getting familiar with the bike and then try to go where there's no traffic gradually work yourself into it 9:25
(June 2023 UPDATE) LECTRIC XP 3.0 Huge Upgrade! Now comes with Hydraulic Brakes as standard equipment for the same low price. Go to www.rvwithtito.com/lectric (Affiliate Link) to see latest deals. Cheers! Brian
Great video! Great advice to start and stop at zero and really pay attention to what you’re doing as you can get distracted very easily. My step through is set to 3 speeds, hubby’s to 5. My speed #1 only goes up to 8 m/h so it gives me just enough power to get going from the stop. Our Shimano gear is set to 4 and we basically don’t touch it. Love my e-bike. 500 miles on it so far. I’ll use my throttle sometimes when I’m totally exhausted and want to get home faster, lol. Thanks for sharing your tips.
Where do I find the dealers to qc buy the bikes, I assume they come with some type of warrantee? First time viewing your website on TH-cam, great presentation.
Great informative video Brian, I bought the 2.0 last year before going out on a 6000 mile RV trip west, and have enjoyed it. A few add ons included a new seat, racks and phone holder.
Tito: following you for your RV ideas. I am older than dirt, 84, and race and time trial pedal bikes. A few thoughts, when riding and approaching a pedal bike warn them of your approach. E-Bikes are quiet and we can be startled. 28mph is fast, be careful, E-Bikes may have suspect handling. I bought my partner a Trek and she is still not comfortable, probably my fault. Be aware that E-Bikes are heavy and May overload your bike rack, fairly common occurrence. Trek will only use pedal assist as motor only maybe going into a classification they do not want, just a thought, if I had an E-Bike I would be a fan, but without one, be kind to us. Thanks
@ 6:00 the lady said she started out with the ebike on no pedal assist. That was slightly ambiguous to me because it could sound like she meant she was on throttle only (no pedal) but she could've also meant only pedal (no power boost).
Thank you both for this video. I have been studying the Lectric for some time. When the time comes for me to buy I believe this will be the one. Great how the fenders and lights come standard and the way they incorporated the back rack into the framing.
A very usable bike for neighborhood errands. I'm an old dirt biker and I could not resist taking my 2.0 off the road and along the foot trails of the Chicago Forest preserves. Those trails are not so far off road that if my syck tires can't take it, I still could get out. ( I also appreciate that nowadays there are such things as cell phones , for when you try one thing beyond stock tire design limits...lol.) Have to admit, tho, that i am disappointed by ebike batteries just as Tesla owners are by EV batteries. Realistic 12 mile one way, give an hour or two rest, and back will make you nervous. Goes down from 53.6 to 48.0, holds and recovers a bit with rest or with a lot of pedal work. Great support from the company, that is a big deal. I want to try the ONE , but I hate to suffer the price of selling a used 2.0 today.
This was a great and very helpful video. Thank you for sharing it. I travel and live in my van conversion several months out of the year and I would like to leave my van in places so as not to to lose the space. Going to the grocery store for example. One of these ebikes would be perfect to have rather than have a small motorcycle mount on the rear of my van. My Bluetti charger could keep the bike's battery charged up between bike uses. I was hesitant to buy one due to costs but you mentioned these models were $1000 and that is very affordable versus $3000 or more.
I’m looking at their website I do not see where you can purchase replacement parts for their bikes like tires and replacement tubes, which are the basics like replacement hardware? Please advise the website does not indicate any replacement parts.
It's 50v. You were right in your verbal presentation, that 3 amps extra x 50v = 150 extra watts. 48v LFPO's are empty if they are actually 48v. 48v nominal.
Yes. That's right. I was just stating the nominal rating just like when we talk about 12V LFP batteries which are actually at 13.2V. Thanks for the clarification.
Tito. Great presentation from you and your wife. You must be an engineer just by the way you are so knowledgeable about all you talk about. You are the go to guy when I have projects. I will be buying 2 ebikes in the near future and will buy them through you. Great video. Thanks, Tony
Actually what you called a flywheel is in fact a disc brake rotor. And the squeaks are likely coming from the fact you keep touching the rotor with your fingers and the oils from your fingers transfer from the rotor and contaminate the pads. Tip: never touch the discs with your bare skin. Also at the time of assembly, wipe the rotors down with isopropyl alcohol to remove any oils from the manufacturing or assembly process and avoid touching them afterwards.
Ordered mine got the passenger seat first. I am waiting for the bike. I picked a Mach e to take it to the trail areas. Bike has a blue accent to match Mach e
Thanks brother your video is very useful I'm glad that you take your time to explain very well about this bike. I'm in the E bike market looking for my one and today we have a lot to choose but I think I'm going to the lectric step through . I want to use for going to work and also to have fun with . Thank you do much
the only thing i would do differently is get the "standard" instead of the "step-through".. the extra bit of height is much needed.. when making turns my pedal scraps which is annoying!!!
One other recommended maintenance detail is to tighten the nut holding the rear wheel in the slots. I have ridden over bumps and twice my wheel came out of the slots. It gets jammed and is very difficult to get back in. Lectric 2.0.
@@RVwithTitojust wanted to drop you a note to tell you that I purchased the XP 3.0 long range step through in black. I just got back from my first ride and I went with my girlfriend and her son. It was amazing the bike exceeded all of my expectations I had and I have to tell you your videos were indescribably helpful made my whole experience so much smoother and enjoyable I can't thank you enough. Best wishes the best of luck with everything out there you guys are great thanks again!
With the slime in the tires the patches won't work unless you completely clean the area where the hole is. You will need isopropyl alcohol to clean the area. You might be able to use a tire plug kit instead.
Yes you can. On the controller press and hold the + and - buttons at the same time to enter the settings. Then tap the power button until you see P02. Use the plus and minus again to change the setting to 000 (this for kilometers - 001 is miles). Save the setting by pressing and holding the power button. It will take you back to the main screen where you should see the odometer reading Km. Good luck!
Great video! I didn't get the step through 2.0 because I'm 6'3" and have big feet, that could catch the ground because of the lower pedal height. I hope this helps somebody🤷♂️
I to am needing to get out after a loss so looking at an e-bike. I found a review that scared me so I was giving up on the idea. But found 2 reviews on this bike. Your review was so comprehensive the one to maintain our and made me think I can do this bike. My question is who will do repairs and maintenance on this bike? Since I’m not the one that took care of all our mechanical stuff. But I thank you so much made me feel I can do this 😀
Two things I sould like to see change in future models: first, key location attached to battery must go. Secondly, how about an option for a narrower tire like 2,25 - 2.4" for less rolling resistance and reducing weight a few pounds (already it is a heavy 64 lb foldung bike). 3" tires may be ok for off road but the majority of bikers will be seniors who will mostly ride in cities and sandy, well packed trails.
Brakes have rotors, and the squealing are the brake pads in the brake calipers seating in to the rotors. If you can feel any machining burrs on the rotor cutouts you can deburr those with a small file with a 45° chamfer on the rough edges. That will extend brake pad life. Dont depend on quality control department blindly...do your own detailed inspection, lubrication on chains at shock seals and on pedal/wheel axles. Running things "dry" shortens the lifespan and creates drag in perforance

What do you recommend as far as waterproofing the electricals for those unexpected downpours?
@@hisnameisiam808 Plastic Baggie and Rubberband.
I just turned 63: and my wife passed away last year I'm going to get me that bike to get out of the house and start exercising
Great idea. 👍 You'll enjoy it.
That’s a good Idea, but get the AiPAS bike instead. It’s made by the same company that makes all the bikes for Lectric, just that it has more options and is $300.00 less. Good luck 👍
How's it going for you now? I think this was a great idea I did something similar when my mom died
Good for you my man I hope you’re doing well
Goodluck love my bike
I am in the market for my 4th e-bike so you can imagine that I have watched an enormous amount of videos in the process. This presentation was by far the most comprehensive that I have ever viewed. Thank you Professor.
Looking to buy the 3.0 lectric your presentation was clear;
comprehensive and loved your video made it easy to appreciate what this model
had to offer
The fact that you are familiar with the 2.0 made it an easy choice for me.
I am living out of the country and found the 3.0 lectric was hard to find. Strols in ajijic mexico does not carry the 3.0 but can get them shipped for a price. And is still a better price then what they have at their shop.
Thanks

I really appreciate your comment.
You make great points. Thanks for chiming in on this.
So happy I got the step through, I’m a heavier person so I need some space 😂
Thanks for more details. Great comments
The seat on the step through is also 2 inches lower, so there is no pedal reach difference.
I have nnot had this kind of luck with their customer service, you are lucky.
Enjoy!
I always hear great things about Lectric customer service. Not many would change an already completed order and changed that out for you like that.
You should have cancelled and re-ordered here.😅
Explain...
Thanks!!
I appreciate that. I'm on Baja so it's going to be a breakfast burrito 🌯 instead 😃 🇲🇽 . Thanks for following along all these years. Enjoy the bike!
Cheers!
Wow! Thanks so much for that amazing feedback. It makes us very happy knowing that we were able to impart some good info to you. Enjoy the bikes!
Great to hear! I haven't been able to get that fast unless I'm cruising down a steep hill.
How fast will the bike go in class three mode?
About 28mph
Glenn, this has been the best review that I have seen so far of this bike. You covered it all.
Glenn? If you're referring to me, then thanks!!
My apologies, I Thought your first name was Glenn
Sorry , Brian!
Thanks! I am 73 and love my xp2.0 I only wish I would have bought the step threw as I have trouble mounting and dismounting love ❤️ my bike
Glad you're enjoying the 2.0. Yes. The step through is definitely easier to get in/out.
I just ordered the XP 3.0 and found you channel looking for more info. This video should be a must see for anyone buying or considering the XP 3.0 - it’s terrific- maybe the most useful video of its type. Good work!
Thank you Tito for the very clear info about XP3.0 I just received my Lectric XP3.0 two weeks ago.
Glad it was helpful. Enjoy the bike!
Thanks 🙏
Our pleasure! We really appreciate you taking the time to let us know. Enjoy riding!
We're so glad you hear your feedback. I also think Melissa's input to this video was very impactful. Enjoy riding!
Very Good, thanks. No backing music, and straight-forward user info.✌
Glad you liked it!
Your video answered all of my questions I had. After 2 weeks of trying to decide whether to buy, I will buy the white and blue XP 3.0 for my wife right now. Thank you for the great video
That's great. You're welcome! I'm glad it helped you out. I hope your wife enjoys the bike.
Great! Glad they got it to you in Canada.
Thanks for the suggestion. I used to have a blinking front light on our standard bikes. I should get some for the Lectrics.
Thanks!
Thank YOU!! Glad it was helpful.
We really appreciate that feedback. Glad you found the video helpful. Let us know if you have questions.
Excellent point regarding shifting. It is by far the best video I have seen. Coninue to make more content
I’ve watched lots of reviews. This is the best introduction for new ebike riders. Not too many tech facts, but a lot of good tips. This is also the clearest description of the gear ratios. I’ve heard numbers and had a vague idea of what it means, but now I get it.
I appreciate that! Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks!
You're very welcome!
2.0 owner here. The Black Friday sale got me. I'm in! The passenger package for the wife who can't ride anymore is a huge deal. I got the step thru extended range and all the goodies on the Black Friday is a deal. Going to be interesting checking this thing out!
Nice. Enjoy! I'm looking forward to trying the passenger accessory as well when it arrives. Have fun riding!
Since you got one you should also get an nta helmet like xnito, the standard cpsc helmets aren't that safe
I truly enjoyed your review…and I rarely if ever watch videos this long!
We’re looking to buy two XP 3.0 Lectric e-bikes soon, so this was extremely helpful.
Glad you found this helpful. I appreciate you watching. Look for another one soon for the XPeak. Cheers!
I love my xp 3.0 took it for a 7 mile ride and I'm hooked can't wait to go again either Friday or Saturday
As stated in all of the previous comments.....nicely done! Thanks Brian and Melissa. I do wish Lectric had outlets or showrooms in our area of the Northwest to kick the tires on them before making a purchase.
Thanks! I did bring that up to them when we were there. It's something they're trying to figure out.
Thanks Tito I purchased one can't wait to go on a ride your explanation just sold me a friend brought one the engineering is excellent thanks
Excellent. Enjoy riding!
Sorry for the late reply. I hope you're enjoying the bike!
Do the fat tires give you a better ride? Are you able to upgrade the motor to 750 watts?
Great tip. Thanks!
That would be Isopropyl I assume, with a vodka or whiskey on the side?
Thank you for the excellent video. We have already ordered two 3.0 bikes and then I found your video, which will be very helpful in getting used to our first ebikes.
Thanks for the great comment. Enjoy the bikes!
Thank you so much. We ordered and are waiting for our first e bikes. Everything we heard you say was helpful and will be put to good use. Thanks again
You will probably be getting the ones with hydraulic brakes and modified PA controller. You'll love it. I'm waiting for my upgrade kit. Enjoy!
Oh yeah, excellent informative video.
Have them all. Surprisingly the lite is actually the most well built. Best value
I like the LITE a lot. I'm going to make a couple mods to mine soon.
Just purchased the new XP 3.0 should arrive today. This is a good review to look at prior to using your lectric bike.
Have fun!
Great video!
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Great video! Breakfast Sandwiches and Bright Blinky Lights - got it! 😉
:) Yup. That's the takeaway.
We bought two long-range step-throughs with the passenger seat for a granddaughter. Going to fashion some guards from flexible cutting boards along the rear sides to make it safer for her feet. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the review . We have ordered these bikes to get us out doors in the sun, I hope I can go a little slower than 25.
Enjoy the sun!
I appreciate the feedback. I hope you can find room for it. Cheers!
I've been riding my Lectric 2.0 for over a year. I've got over 5000 commuter miles and it's better than I had expected. The 3.0 sounds like a big improvement, especially the 14 ah battery for longer range.
That's a lot of miles. You can get the extended range battery for the 2.0 as well.
@@RVwithTito I charge at home and at work. So far it's worked out fine.
Thank you for such well-informed insight into this e-bike. Your review was clear & concise, and it addressed all of the questions I had regarding this particular model. Thanks to your video, I think I’ve made my choice!
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent, just bought the 3.0 larger battery, now 75 lbs, could never lift it into my suv, thanks for the excellent tip
Enjoy it!
Cheers! Brian
I was just wondering the cost of my light bill to charge one on a daily basis.... Just a ballpark figure
They sell directly to consumers via their website. There are no dealers.
Great informative video Brian, I bought the 2.0 last year before going out on a 6000 mile RV trip west, and have enjoyed it. A few add ons included a new seat, racks and phone holder.
Thanks for the feedback. Hope you had a great trip around our side of the country. The 2.0 has been a solid all around bike.
Thanks
What a wonderful video! Thank you so much. I am sure I will revisit often.
You're welcome! Glad it helped.
Great video with so much info for a newbie to e-bikes you have motivated me to buy the 3.0 thank you 😊
Glad we could help. Enjoy riding!
Thank you. We just bought these, due to arrive this week. We also live in Washington! Cowlitz county!
Nice! Enjoy them. We are still in Mexico but on our way back to WA within the week.
Good job on your thorough review
Glad it was helpful! Thanks 😃
@ 6:00 the lady said she started out with the ebike on no pedal assist. That was slightly ambiguous to me because it could sound like she meant she was on throttle only (no pedal) but she could've also meant only pedal (no power boost).
Literally just figured out how to change it to a class 3 ebikes, makes this bike so much better
Great information and very informative. Help made our deciosn to purchase the 3.0 that much easier. We'll be orderingour bikes soon! Thanks
Hope you've got them by now :) Enjoy!
Thank you both for this video. I have been studying the Lectric for some time. When the time comes for me to buy I believe this will be the one. Great how the fenders and lights come standard and the way they incorporated the back rack into the framing.
Thanks for sharing I’ve never had a e-bike but thinking of getting one but I would like if the handle bars had more angle to them
I prefer the handlebars on the Rad Expand 5. There are YT'ers who swap out for BMW handlebars.
A very usable bike for neighborhood errands. I'm an old dirt biker and I could not resist taking my 2.0 off the road and along the foot trails of the Chicago Forest preserves. Those trails are not so far off road that if my syck tires can't take it, I still could get out. ( I also appreciate that nowadays there are such things as cell phones , for when you try one thing beyond stock tire design limits...lol.)
Have to admit, tho, that i am disappointed by ebike batteries just as Tesla owners are by EV batteries.
Sounds like a great option for you. Yes. These are great for the price.
Thanks for the clarification.
very nice review, answers all the obvious questions. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Tito. Great presentation from you and your wife. You must be an engineer just by the way you are so knowledgeable about all you talk about. You are the go to guy when I have projects. I will be buying 2 ebikes in the near future and will buy them through you. Great video. Thanks, Tony
Thanks Tony. I'm a pretty curious guy and enjoy learning how things work, but I used to be an engineer.
Best detailed review, I’m getting my black 3.0 Wednesday
Nice! Thanks for the feedback and enjoy the bike.
Thank you do much
Glad it helped. Enjoy the bike!
Great review! Thanks for all. I decided I will buy one :)
Thanks for the feedback. We're glad to help. Enjoy the bike!
the only thing i would do differently is get the "standard" instead of the "step-through".. the extra bit of height is much needed.. when making turns my pedal scraps which is annoying!!!
Very nice video. Informative and helpful. Thank you!
One other recommended maintenance detail is to tighten the nut holding the rear wheel in the slots. I have ridden over bumps and twice my wheel came out of the slots. It gets jammed and is very difficult to get back in. Lectric 2.0.
I ordered the xp step thru white. I can't wait to get it and hug it because I've wanted one for ages upon seeing My friends
😃 Hope it comes quickly!
Great product, easy to clean -worked out great !
your video is pretty solid. My mom is phobic of ebikes and PEVs. I'm hoping you can talk her into them
Let us know how it goes.
Fantastic video! Really great job at this point I think I'm definitely getting one of these thanks👍
Glad you enjoyed it. Have fun riding 👍
@@seanmichael7714 Thanks so much for following up with us. We're so glad you're enjoying the bike. Enjoy riding!
A fantastic revew!!
Thanks. We're glad you liked
Can you remove the battery and charge it in the office like they heybikes?
Yes.
Absolutely. Either way. Whatever you prefer.
Your “flywheel” is actually a “rotor”. Great detailed review and Thanks!
With the slime in the tires the patches won't work unless you completely clean the area where the hole is. You will need isopropyl alcohol to clean the area. You might be able to use a tire plug kit instead.
Great video and info on the Lectric Bike. I am wanting a second Ebike but waiting on 2023 to see what new features on some e-bikes I am looking at
There's always new tech. Waiting will usually pay off.
Good morning
Is it possible to change the screen from miles to km
Yes you can. On the controller press and hold the + and - buttons at the same time to enter the settings. Then tap the power button until you see P02. Use the plus and minus again to change the setting to 000 (this for kilometers - 001 is miles). Save the setting by pressing and holding the power button. It will take you back to the main screen where you should see the odometer reading Km. Good luck!
Great video! I didn't get the step through 2.0 because I'm 6'3" and have big feet, that could catch the ground because of the lower pedal height. I hope this helps somebody🤷♂️
Best review. Thank you. So easy to understand and choose
I have a pull behind two wheel cart for my 20# dog … is this something I can adapt to this e-bike?
Absolutely will work
I to am needing to get out after a loss so looking at an e-bike.
But I thank you so much made me feel I can do this 😀
You did a fantastic job in explaining the functions of these bikes. Thankyou so much.
Your welcome! I appreciate your feedback.
Tires are not hard to change if you don’t like em
Brakes have rotors, and the squealing are the brake pads in the brake calipers seating in to the rotors.
If you can feel any machining burrs on the rotor cutouts you can deburr those with a small file with a 45° chamfer on the rough edges. That will extend brake pad life.
Dont depend on quality control department blindly...do your own detailed inspection, lubrication on chains at shock seals and on pedal/wheel axles.
Running things "dry" shortens the lifespan and creates drag in perforance
