So it turns out this didnt come out natively with oneui 4 on my s20 fe. However, when i sideloaded it, it did seem to function a lot better than on oneui 3.1. It feels native despite sideloading and so far theres 0 difference from the real thing.

I've been doing this since April and the last Samsung Dynamic version was on November 3rd and there have been sevaral updates since then. Just none for Samsung Dynamic. Such a bummer. I really prefer the Samsung Dynamic version.
They are supporting the Samsung version again. They finally updated on Thanksgiving and have had 2 subsequent updates since then. The last one being yesterday. You can find it on APKMirror
After my number gets verified and i got to advanced settings i dont get any toggle for text on galaxy devices. not sure where to go from there. any help is much appreciated.

I have noticed that as well. It happens for some versions and then comes back. It's a beta, so this stuff is normal. 😅 (Let's just hope Samsung doesn't decide to remove it completely)
@@BredzPro naw I finally got it to work. My problem was I literally had every samsung series from the 4 up. Even sometimes multiple phones from same yr. I realized that from the 8 up I would beable to send clear videos on some phones but not others. Example the 8 plus is unclear note 8 clear note 9 clear note 10 unclear note 10 plus clear etc. Anyway what I realize is some of these samsung phones maybe already have rcs or something similiar. So if ur messaging someone with a note 9 u can send clear videos and do reactions. U can also send clear videos and reaction if they have any android that isn't samsung. But if u wanna send reactions to the samsungs that I'm guessing don't have rcs already then u both would need to have Google messaging. I hope this was helpful

I always recommend Samsung because it has a lot of features. The only problem in your case is that the Galaxy Note9 won't get the new Android 11 and 12. The iPhone 8 Plus will be updated for some more years = longer life. If you care about the features Samsung has (up until Android 10) then I'd go with Note9. The Google Messages you have installed is newer than the one in APKMirror. Wait for a samsung_dynamic variant for your version is released. Or just uninstall Google Messages and try again.
Why do this and not just use the normal Google messages app not the apk version? I know it looks like the Samsung version but do the rcs features not work?

I just noticed that it asks to return to Samsung Messages every time. I just noticed that the issue is that there is no Google Messages capsule in Bixby settings.

So I can't get mine to enable. It's stuck on 'Trying to Verify' and no matter how many times I submit my number, it never gets past this. I had it working at one point, then out of the blue it lost connection, and has been like this ever since. Going on 3 months now where I'm stuck 'trying to verify'. Any ideas to get this working again?
I am assuming you have tried clearing data or ununstalling the app, rebooting the phone? Try installing Carrier Services from the Play Store. Also try activating it while being connected to data, not WiFi. And lastly, remove and re-insert your SIM. It has worked for me sometimes.
Thats pretty good stuff, but all it really did was make it hav green bubbles instead of blue, but it doesnt customize with themes. At least it doesnt with mine. Does rcs have to be uncustomizable?
It's still a work in progress. This app will be replacing Samsung Messages in the future, so when that happens then it'll be integrated with the system themes.
RCS has nothing to do with customization. You're comparing two completely different things. Google didn't design Google Messages to have custom themes so far.

Google messages sucks. The ui is terrible and the emojis are ugly Wow, it's even worse than I thought. The search function won't find any messages older than a few days old. When it does manage to find something, the app bugs out. Some of my conversations won't even load. Yea, I'd rather use samsung messages with rcs than use this trash with it. Holy shit. What's even worse, my s10+ had rcs in samsung messages. Then I get an s20 ultra and it doesn't. I think the way to fix it would be if I could downgrade samsung messages to the version on my s10+, but when i try, it just says invalid package.
Close (or force close) it a couple of times and the UI should change. Also, Play Store will sometimes update the app and return it to the normal version, so make sure it didn't (App info and check if version is "Samsung_dynamic")!

If there's no Samsung variant then you can either install an older version which has it, or wait for it to be uploaded.

Unfortunately not. Samsung patched that method, so this "new" app is the only solution for now.

Don't worry about it. It's optional. Chat features are the ones that enable RCS.

You SMS will still be there. Yeah you should update it for the iPhone reactions.

They haven't implemented that feature yet. Sometimes it shows, sometimes it goes away after an update.
