How to Flash/Unbrick/Update ANY Samsung Galaxy device via Odin 3 - Update to One UI 5

- In this guide I will show you how to use Odin, 3 by Samsung, to:
- unbrick a bricked device that does not boot up,
- update your Software to the latest version,
- get out of the beta,
- flash custom ROMs.

🧐 tl;dr
1. Download and extract both Frija and Odin.
2. Launch Frija.
3. Check the "Auto" button. Write your device's Model Number and CSC
(Your model number is at Settings, then About phone).
4. Click on "Check Update".
5. Click on "Download" and choose a folder to save the firmware.
6. After the download is complete, extract the firmware .zip.
7. Launch Odin.
8. Click the "BL" button and select the file that starts with "BL_...".
9. Click the "AP" button and select the file that starts with "AP_...".
10. Click the "CP" button and select the file that starts with "CP_...".
11. Click the "CSC" button and select the file that starts with "HOME_CSC_..." (Selecting CSC_... will wipe your data!).
12. Turn off your phone.
13. Boot into Download Mode by holding both Volume Up + Volume Down buttons and then connecting it to your PC.
14. After booting into Download Mode, press the Volume Up button to continue.
15. Back to Odin, click "Start".
16. The flashing process will be over when "PASS" is shown in Odin and your phone reboots. You may close Odin and disconnect the phone from your PC then.
17. Congrats! You have successfully flashed the latest update to your device.
18. After your phone is on, turn it off again.
19. Boot into Recovery Mode by connecting to your PC and holding Volume Up + Power Button (+ Bixby Button). Also explained here: • How to boot into Recov...
20. Navigating with the Volume Buttons and selecting with the Power Button, go to "Wipe cache partition".
21. Select "Yes".
22. Select "Reboot system now".

Easy, fast and straight forward, best Tutorial I've found for this Problem. Lately there were several problems with Over-The-Air-Updates from Samsung and my Phone bricked. Through you I didn't have to install everything again, will keep this Video marked for the future, thank you very much !
worked perfect. I just flashed my locked ATT S22U to unlocked firmware. Quick note at the end you don't have to reconnect the phone to get to recovery mode, you can just press and hold the volume up button and power button. Thanks for the tutorial.

Great video. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra that I thought was factory-unlocked. It turned out to be a carrier-unlocked from AT&T. You can't get OTA updates unless you're an at&t customer. I've heard that you can flash the global international rom on the AT&T, turning it into the international model, but I'm afraid of bricking the phone. I did update it with the direct download from Samsung server with your method. I'm in Texas, but my mom was born in Radldorf. She moved here after meeting my dad who was on the U. S. Army. Some of most vivid memories from childhood involved driving to visit my Oma in Radldorf. It was really beautiful there-mostly farmers.😊

This is very helpful, considering it is two years ago but all the steps were the same with only a bit of a hiccup of forcing me to do a factory reset after the firmware flashing but I got it working perfectly with my flip 5., thank you.,

Goodness! Thanks a bunch for this. I imported S21 Plus SnapDragon version to my country April 2023 and I've been stuck on August 2022 software with OneUI 4.1. Checked for update multiple times and I keep getting phone is up to date. Following your process has brought me up to speed with the latest Android 13 and OneUI 5.1. Subscribing right away!

After updating with Odin you should start getting them normally.

For those who get a menu, leave the device unplugged, and select "reload to bootloader" you'll get the teal screen that says "Downloading..." then plug your phone in. Boom, Odin will start to do it's thing.

Yes it's easy if you follow the instructions, two weeks later I did it again and now my s21 ultra is updated again to android 14 ui 6.

Is it just the logo or does it keep restarting?
The logo means it's loading.
If it's restarting, you're stuck on a bootloop and you should try again.
So just when I got your reply it shows me the language screen😹😹😹maddd

holy shit man, you actually saved my ass big time when i tried booting exynos on my Samsung a205u only for it not to work, my phone may be reseted back to factory settings but i didnt really have pictures or games on there. But really if anyone reads my comment this is the best tutorial for fixing a mistake like mine, except i think i rather jus stick to my regular firmware atp

Thanks for the tutorial! In case someone runs into the same problem as me and the update in Odin3 gets stuck at "PRISM": unplug your phone and restart it (volume down + side button hold 7 seconds, this will lead to a blue screen but don't worry), plug it back in and start/flash ONLY the HOME_SCS file by (un)ticking the boxes next to it. Then your phone will reboot just fine.

hey man thanks for the video although I want to ask. If you use the CSC file does it delete the internal storage too? or the /data folder only?
The CSC_ file will wipe everything and factory reset your device.

Hey so yesterday I wanted to root a old tablet of mine that I don't really need so I used a tutorial on google for my model number (SM-T713) and odin failed and in the corner of my tablet it said UNSUPPORTED DEV_TYPE. Then I restarted the tablet (by holding power + volume down) now it says
"An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software" or something like that. Any help?
