Oh wow this was certainly a very interesting family dynamic! I've never met anyone in real life who lives three generations in the same house, so it was fascinating to see. The design of the house is interesting as well; all of the rooms are done in blue combined with white and muted colours - except for Patrick's room that really stands out with all that red and black (even the homework matched the color scheme). I found it a really good choice to switch things around so that Ashlyn got her own room as well - indeed, Patrick might be the son, and the family might have old fashioned ideas of gender roles, but as the golden child, she would definitely have her own room. I found it really amusing that she got the exact same bedspread as her parents - nice choice!
That entrance seems a bit tricky with the routing. Perhaps moving the door inwards one tile would help, at least a little? Flattening the ground around the house was also a good choice: not only did it make the routing smooth, it also looks a lot better. The way you pasted little images of the characters from the intro video was really nice too. It worked really well to jog my memory!
Poor teens though, living in that oppressive family, and then finding it hard to connect with their peers. I hope things get better for them, but then there's also a new sibling on the way. Hopefully, being the youngest will take some preassure off that child (but with that father and grandfather, it seems unlikely).
Great video, and how nice to see you with a greenscreen, a new chair and lighting ^_^ Keep at it, it's already looking great. I've found that working out lighting and sound are the most difficult parts of recording, at least for me. But those things gets better and better the more you get used to it :) Thanks for this great start to the weekend, and I'll be looking forward to the next part
Thanks for the watch and lovely comment as always Ani! Thats interesting because its actually quite normal to me as it is exactly how my family in Italy live and is very common over there. But, it is uncommon in British culture too so you don't see it much here even though this family seems to be Scottish-inspired. They definitely like their blue haha! I noticed the matching homework while editing too, what a coincidence! I actually didn't think about the bedspread, maxis choices are quite limited but I think it makes a lot of sense actually!
Thats a good suggestion for the entrance, they do have quite a lot of hallway space so I could probably budge the door one tile back then they can interact on the front porch better. Thanks, I'll try remember that for next time! I'm really glad that pictures of the visiting sims helped, I took it from the advice you gave me in the last episode. I recorded this part before releasing the last one (yeah I'm so slow lol) so I haven't had chance to work on all the improvements I want to make yet but I did what I could in editing!
Its interesting you see it that way actually, while I feel for Patrick and don't blame him for rebelling and wanting to be his own person, I don't see the parents and grandparents as bad people, I think they mean well, but Leo has definitely taken it too far. I'm really surprised we haven't seen any negative interactions yet. I'll have to make use of the lecture interaction when he gets bad grades or stays out too long or something.
Thank you so much, yep I am finding setup very fiddly to get right, and I find that if I spend too long messing with settings before I'm about to record it can really suck my energy out so got to find the balance and try small adjustments here and there. Have a great weekend
I absolutely love this series! The town is so great, and I love your style. The Sims 3 traits add so much diversity and cool interactions, I’m enjoying seeing those in action. Really excited to see the Scientists and all their chaos 😬

For years I've wanted to do something like this; big rotational prosperity challenge-esque gameplay. Loving watching this series until I eventually pluck up the courage/effort to make it happen haha!

Green screens are hard!! What program are you using for editing? It took me ages to get the right settings both with lighting and then also in editing - you'll get there ☺️
Big households are also hard haha I felt for you! Especially with a huge welcome wagon hanging out until 11pm lol.
I definitely think it suits Ashlyn to go to prom alone, that was a good choice!
I feel like this family will really make use of the encouragement game mechanics, and also the lecture / chastise mod haha. That Dad is... A piece of work, that's for sure.
Patrick as a rockstar I'd love to see. I'd also love to see him dye his hair something unnatural just to really get under his father's skin and look more edgy and rockstar like hehe, could be fun.

Actually, I'm in the middle of translation process of this neightborhood from English to Portuguese. I'm also fixing their Memories, names, Family trees. I'm hoping to End up soon so I can start playing
In My Brazilian version, The McGreggors became The Gregórios. The elderly couple is called Tomás e Petúnia, the pregnant Mother became Gisele, Leo became Leonardo and Patrick became Patrício. I don't remember How I rename Ashlyn
Hello, i love how your game looks. I saw your overhaul graphics video with the gunmod’s radiance lighting system and I love it! It makes my game look so much better. Just one thing though, it’s really dark in the daytime for me. I have had Reshade installed and tried the reshade preset that you mentioned in that video, but it’s still dark for me. Any suggestions? Hey, thanks! Hm, I'm really not sure why your game would be dark in the daytime. However, since making this video I have switched to using the Cinema Secrets Lighting mod instead and no longer use reshade.
