The "mole people" rooms in the second build were actually most likely for the live in servants who worked in the kitchen (maids, butler, cooks, footmen, etc.) and would have used that small staircase to traverse the house without getting in the Beaker family's way. (Sorry if you already knew this and were just making jokes, I just like to share knowledge I have)
I wanna ask. I am still new with Fake Gamer Girl’s content but I am pretty interested in her build review and FGG tags. I want to make a build with a secret basement. What FGG tag is good for that?
Answer for the second house... there were a tonnnn of freeze rays in glass cases all over the house: right when you walked in the front room, the shelf in the living room, in the bar, in the red bedroom, etc. The description for the build talked about "a funeral for yet another clumsy servant". The white stuff in the kitchen by the oven was snow. Sooo I'm guessing that Lady Sarah Beaker would freeze the servants and kill them... maybe she also fed them to the cow plants? That could could explain why she had the time to be a painter, botanist, explorer and inventor? Idk it's not my build but that's my guess. (And the "mole people" rooms were the servant quarters lol)
Ok but what if she freezes and kills her servants to provide ice for the ice box. Like that would be horrifying. Also the clumsy servant I think is a reference to the narrow staircases in the servants quarters since historically they were horribly steep and many people tripped and fell to their death on them
For the second one-you can pay to rent kimonos in Japan! They’ll dress you authentically and properly, and it’s encouraged! So it’s not cultural appropriation because it’s people from that culture inviting others to engage with parts of it! It’s cultural appreciation! Same as how you shouldn’t buy cheap jewelry or clothes that appropriate native attire-but you can absolutely wear clothing and accessories you BUY from native people who sell those things!
Her saying that it was cultural appropriation really shocked me. I don't think people from different cultures should say what is or isn't CA, because they aren't the once being effected.
lol this is so stupid. everyone buys dirndl (bavarian traditional dresses) and gets drunk with them on octobberfest, but with japanese stuff is cultural appropriation?? WTF ?? I understand being upset when white people appropriate the black culture and make money with it. BUT JAPAN IS A COLONIZER COUNTRY WHO FOUGHT ON HITLERS SIDE??? They are NOT THE UNDERDOG HERE.
I saw a chateau in Germany and they had discreet little doors for servants to use. They weren't bookcases but they were often nondescript and the same color as the wall, so that's probably why your manor has a bookcase door into the kitchen ^-^
After two years of being enslaved to this channel, you finally reviewed a build of mine. Btw your bravery is admirable but you chose poorly and emoji scream to dust as the holy grail had already made off by someone else... who fell to their doom (yes, the body's still down there) on their way back after getting betrayed by an accomplice.
Thank you so much for reviewing my build The DefNotSus Motel! This was my first time doing a building competition and I'm so happy it got featured! ❤❤❤
1:50 i love how in the fgg universe, mailboxes are sentient - forget the sims 5, can we get "The Mailboxes" game. better yet, someone make a sims 4 mod that adds a mailbox costume.
I will admit when this build challenge was issued I was thinking of traps as in Dungeons & Dragons; pit traps, spike traps, trap doors in the floor, rooms that would crush you and I couldn't think of how to represent that, so I built a Victorian farmhouse from 1900....
For the third one, I half expect the "holy grail" to turn out to be the fountain in the middle, and all the cups or urns are decoys. Really fun to have that catacomb space, and the little touches were nice
My guest is the secret door is for the servants and a place for them to sleep. Servents in the royal old money movies tend to stay hidden but live on property
It's a bit eerie how the second house looked just like if the house I was born in and lived in until I was 12, and my great grandparent's house were combined. My dining room looked almost exactly like that with the same types of chairs and table, only they were a bit darker, but there was a same shaped cabinet in the same exact spot, and the other things beside it too. It was like stepping back in time.
It's a mannor, the secret doors lead to the kitchen and services areas. Those rooms are for the live in servants that old people use to have living in the house.
I would be quite amused if Sarah tried to do house tours with the first person camera in live mode while trying to navigate things in that mode like Plumbella did. lol .nwn.
I had never actually looked too close at Cowplants before this video but on the dead Cowplant the bell around its neck was also made of bone??? Is the bell part of their biology like the fake cake on their tongue for luring victims??? They just grow the bell with its metallic sheen and bell functionality, which means the bell noise is made by bone hitting bone covered by a thin layer of skin???? 😟
The second house, the door behind the divider is hidden because it’s the servant entrance from the kitchen and I feel like a lot of the secret hallways and stuff are servant areas too.
TBH i got an underground railroad vibe from the scientist mansion with the hidden stairs... though helping enslaved people to escape is much more wholesome than just confining servants to that dank attic
At 12:30 you found a staircase that attaches to the kitchen, leading to an extra living area. Several bedrooms and bathrooms, with a long hallway. Since the bedrooms are technically attached to the kitchen, it would be my guess that it's meant to be the servants quarters!?!
The second build is in the style of a lot of old mansions such means it has a servants quarters and a hidden kitchen. Speaking of the white stuff is likely ice for the icebox (fridge). I only know this because I toured old homes a ton as a kid, wich I will add is why this 100% is a death trap those stairs irl are narrow as shit and about as steep as a step ladder. They were built like that to save space for the rich homeowners to have grand staircases and large rooms. Also the servants quarters are 100% a fire hazard. 😅 I love your videos they always make my day a little more fun 😊
So for the 2nd build I think the attic with the bedrooms and stuff is where the servants used to sleep..because you got the downstairs that's where like I guess the rich family used to sleep and then like in the Attic that's where the servants used to sleep kind of like their quarters..
The first one maybe took ref from a game called "Fears to Fathom: norwood hitchhike", it based on a true experience which is really scary. That's why this building is DefNotSus Motel 😂
As someone that just came across the channel that hashtag did not come off right first impression. It took me way too long to figure out it meant "FakeGamerGirl Traps"....

"Cultural appropriation" is a thing only in USA.
Everywhere else people actualy like when others engage in and enjoy their culture.

Right! I'm from Germany and I love castles and visited a lot of them! Which one did you see (if I'm allowed to ask)? :)

You did amazing!! It made me wish motels were real in the sims!
That was definitely not suspicious 😊
Whenever I watch a build challenge, I'm super inspired to build something. Then I remember that I'm super impatient and just want to play families.
It's amazing how The DefNotSus Motel was base game! If that one existed when I got the game, I would've been playing with it all the time!

Not the “do I look like colleen effing ballinger?” 💀
“Is it because I’m Arab?” actually sent me 😂😂😂

that last build was on another level of creativity and detail! i'm curious too now about which one was the right one
Its the fountain
Ohh the last build was my favorite! Amazing storytelling with a build hehe I also got the Indiana Jones vibes
Secret kitchen and hidden bedrooms would be for servants
"DO I look like Colleen Ballinger?" hahaha. the shade.
This is the first build challenge I participated in. Was load of fun making a very hazardous place

not Sarah calling the servants mole people 😂😂🤣
how the first person made that build in base game is so good
12:08 - I'll just leave it here in order to return and cackle a bit more, nice one!
The secret door for kitchen and the rest is the staff area (think old world, maid, butler etc.)

The mansion was mind-blowingly realistic. Big props to that person. I'm gonna go find their profile on the gallery now
It's 5 am and I need to wake up in 4 hours but FGG's new video is more important
And here, I thought the mole ppl was a nod to how Bean came to be
Didn't the first place have cameras in the rooms?
I think the attack rooms are servants quarters
The last one looks like it could’ve been in Sims 3 World Adventures France.
The second build is in the style of a lot of old mansions such means it has a servants quarters and a hidden kitchen. Speaking of the white stuff is likely ice for the icebox (fridge). To answer your question, the upstairs rooms are the servants’ quarters. Maids, chef, butler, etc. :)
