Whelp... it seems the newest DLC update has broken the game for a lot of people. Please note, this review was made before that happened. 😡 Hopefully they get the game straightened out soon.
@@samintalukder2686the physics are different now, alot of mods don't work any more cause modders have jumped ship, and the bugs have gone up massively. This is without the DLC installed
@@ra1den_555 you get the fuel array with all three of those artifacts, and you start the teleporter and wait until til the enemies swarm together and let them kill you. The enemies have to be beetles
Great video man!! Love seeing more people get into Risk of rain 2 it's such a gem also the fuel array is a equipment slot item with no abilities of it's own, however it is intended for unlocking another character! the way the item works is whenever you are holding it if your health drops to 50% it'll detonate on the spot!! I wouldn't worry about going for the character though until you feel comfortable goin for the challenge!!!
A big misconception: time doesn't matter as long as you're looting, while gaining items you get stronger then your enemies do in the same amnt of time, this applies to all difficulties, from drizzle to eclipse 8
this is like very very wrong, being slow is a death sentence as it leads to you taking longer to kill enemies and then you end up taking longer each stage and then you take even longer next stage due to that and you will eventually just do no dmg and get one shot on higher difficulties. Tho it is right that looting the entire stage is the goal usually but with minimal time loss

I thought you were some huge reviewing channel given the quality of the video, and yet you weren't (yet). Also I believe (but could be mistaken because of dementia) that this game was playable a while before it's release date, it just feels like it's been ages more than 4 years ago. I also love the innocence of some tips you give, mainly the time, don't stress it!
Thanks! I'm hoping I will be a big channel someday. I've moved on to playing other games for the sake of the channel, but I'm still playing RoR2 in my spare time, slowly making progress. I think this will be a game I keep playing for a long, long time.
You can also change things up by unlocking artifacts that give you a special condition for each you have toggled on your run. They can be super fun and makes the game super interesting!

@@decibelmax I played ds3 at 13 fps, fun thing? Some areas wouldn't load like, I could just fall trought the white void where ground and collision didn't render. Having a bad rig can be fun sometimes
yeah the story is hard to understand as its told through small dialogue pieces and especially the logs for items and monsters but it is really good once you understand it imo, the next dlc also kinda builds on it which is quite nice.
This game is awesome. I play it everyday on ps4. I got lucky with this game. Stadia gave it for free if you were a pro member (RIP Google Stadia). Then I heard about the shutdown of it. Got sad. On a random day, I was at 5 below. They were selling ROR 1 & 2 for only $5, of course. I love telling people about how I got into ROR
If you know how to play, the clock does not matter. You can spend 30 mintues on every stage doing nothing, and still do fine. On the hardest difficulty. Good luck on your runs, it's very fun exploring this game for the first time!
@@glacial-toast When did I say that the game is bad? And like I said, why would you make a review for a rouge like when you haven’t completed a single run yet?
A fair criticism. For the record, I kept playing after I made this vid, and have actually completed the game now. I don't think I'd change anything, I would only add that the Captain (and Artificer, who I've also unlocked) are pretty fun to play as. 😎

It's not like you can't just turn off the DLC and play the base game and void DLC without being affected

Fuel array is something you use to unlock a character named REX and it blows up when you fall below 50% health
You can also use it to get all three of the artificers abilities in one go when paired with artifacts of swarm, and kin

Some tracks in the soundtrack are soothing but most of them are bangers. I think the soundtrack does a good job of representing the game.
All of them are bangers. Not a single bad track in the entire franchise

You take the fuel cell to hell and look for the plant with legs
put the fuel array in the plant at the top of abyssal depths
Game plays at 20 fps on my rig (I'm poor ok? I have no spare money for a new one) and I still play this game a LOT. Just to show how good this game is

4 years ago? bro its older than that
Technically, yes, if you count early access, though the full release wasn't until 2020.
you wanna spend more than 5 minutes in the first area. so you stop dying in 2nd and third
My issue is WHERE IS THE GADDAMMMMM MAP!!!!!!!!
imo, it's the best videogame
It is a great game
