    I totally understand what you’re saying and feeling, Lana. I’m a guy, several years ago I used to have some thoughts on how my last romance had ended and if I was loved the way I loved that girl. For that case, the answer was “no”. But then I realized that even if we think that we’re loved “not enough” or “not the way we want”, like I first was thinking, it’s not necessarily because the other person was not serious/irresponsible etc.
    Everyone loves the way they can, and it may severely upset us, but everything is defined by our temper, psychological features, love languages, parents' love expression etc. So, for example, in a relationship I need hugs, and I would feel unloved in a situation when a potential partner doesn’t like it.
    Of course, it doesn’t mean that there are no people who use us, treat not seriously, but this realization made me feel easier after the heartbreak.
    There are many of us who feel lonely and have no love life at the moment, but it doesn't mean that we can't find anyone in the future or live our single life happily.
    Hugs for everyone and much love:)

    I have been in a rock bottom quite lately. Dealing with unusual levels of anxiety and suicidal thoughts. And also having to deal with the academic pressure of being the eldest, gifted kid. I can't talk to my parents or anyone else about it. And I constantly wonder if it will ever get better.
    But your videos help me calm down my panic attacks. Your voice, the way you articulate your thoughts, the setting, you, just everything, it has given me a ray of hope. It's 2:43 am here in India, and I can't sleep, although I have an exam to take tomorrow.
    So, I came here, and dear Lana, you instantly put a small smile on my face.
    Thanks

      This is one of the truest statements about reality and existence. All life, in the purest sense, is the way in which the universe has come to express itself in a form capable of experiencing, learning and knowing itself if only in a tiny place for a short moment within itself, drifting in its own vastness of space and time. In this way all things are connected by an inextricable kinship. This is possibly the most beautiful thing I have ever experienced, learned and came to know.

    • @MinahilFatima-hc2qw
      @MinahilFatima-hc2qw หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Can you really feel that the entire universe exists in you?? It sounds really nice, but It's not easy to feel this way, or it doesn't come natural to me.

    • @JamieAsareZiegler
      @JamieAsareZiegler หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@MinahilFatima-hc2qw I think of it as a spark of the eternal. Some may view it in terms of an immortal soul, some may have a different understanding-but it’s something that exists within us and yet connects us to something so much larger than ourselves. I think the more we cultivate our inner virtues and break down the barriers between ourselves and whatever that spark is, the more brightly it shines from us. The more we focus on worldly things and our own ego, the more it’s obscured from view. It’s easy to think of it as a lantern and the light, where petty and trivial fixations cloud our lanterns and prevent the light from shining through. Anyway, with some people, it’s really easy to see that light. I can’t speak for anyone but myself, but that’s what I think of in the sense of the original statement: in you can be seen things that transcend the material.
      I hope you don’t mind me butting in, but I think about this stuff a lot.

    • @MinahilFatima-hc2qw
      @MinahilFatima-hc2qw หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @JamieAsareZiegler I know, it's true, but I don't feel it in me. Maybe I'm still stuck in worldly things. I wish I could also feel. Anyways, your writing is quite fascinating. Are you some poet or a writer??

    i love pondering about suffering, the universe, and emotions. But like whats already known; the more understanding and wisdom we acquire, the lonelier we become. I think this is what you meant by "being not been loved by a man" for your soul looks for someone that can go down with your depth. Also, the challenges of being physically attractive is that living with the doubts of " Am I merely desired and wanted but not loved?

    You''re so brave, to talk about things you're embarrassed or insecure about! Ummm ... it's hard for me to admit that sometimes, I don't feel very much in touch with reality and life just feels like a book I'm reading or a movie I'm watching. Like I go through the motions, play the game, do things I enjoy, pray and believe sincerely, love deeply, act as a carer, simultaneously feeling distant and unattached. This feeling may be accentuated today by being unwell with a virus, which is why I will be brave enough to share it instead of deleting.

    Lana, I love your courage and relate to a lot of what you shared. Especially the one about loneliness- I’ve never been in a relationship. I will say, as a Christian, my relationship with God is the most precious thing and the solace I find in Jesus’ love for me is so comforting when I feel lonely. And yes, the community I have with fellow believers is a bond like no other, even across countries and cultures. I encourage you to keep asking questions and being curious, as I’m sure you can’t help but be :) I highly recommend the book Evidence that Demands a Verdict if you have questions about Christianity, although simply reading the Gospels is also a wonderful place to start :) Praying for you ❤️

    Social anxiety has been my worst enemy throughout my youth, it made me very depressed as a teenager but now at 22 I can say it is only maybe 15% of what it used to be. So everyone that is struggling very hard with it now, I want to tell you it can get sooooo much better even though you can't imagine it. Just widen your comfort zone one little step at a time. But tbh sometimes you have to be uncomfortable even if it feels terrible... otherwise you probably won't get better.

    you are so right about the religion part because i am Muslim and my beliefs have gotten me through everything in life and i know without a doubt that they will in the future aswell no matter how bad life gets. Two core beliefs that help me through hardships are
    1- as Allah said in the quran not once but twice side by side "verily, with hardships comes ease" "and with hardships comes ease"
    2- this life is a test for the next life so whatever hardships come in life, i will be rewarded for them in the next so its all worth it.

    Thanks for your vulnerable powerful honesty Lana! Your videos move me, been following since your first. You have over a million people who adore you - next time you nitpick trust the many voices over the one, you can't be right all the time ;) The thing that embarrasses me is I talk and sing (not good) too myself all the time and when people in public look at me, I tell them - "yep talking too myself". P.S Great singing!

    Last part was especially courageous to me. Singing alone for others used to be something I was always ashamed to do, I am also the kind of person that sings all the time but you know, “for fun” so whenever I had to sing smth for real I was always very scared. I am in an acting school so I had to break that fear, even tho it’s still in me I def made some progress. I could see u break through that comfort zone as if it was glass, you did it! U didn’t have to, you could have just deleted that part or not prove anything but you decided to make us a kind of people you feel comfortable around and be vulnerable. Thank you for that. I love this video and so glad that you’re back!! Loveeee

    Can you define "the way that you love"? 🤔Does them loving you in a different way than you love them undermine their love for you? Or do you think there is only one true way to love? I've got no answers, only questions:D

    I love your charms and emotional intelligence, transparency, this incredible fluffiness coming out of your voice, your personal outpouring, the way you express them, I kinda missed your voice, hopefully you`ll find your soul as a perfect fit into the Orthodox Christian Church. I think you`re a special ice, a gift from God.

    Your videos always make me think. I have been following you for the past 4 years and you’ve played a great role in adding calmness into my life. ❤️
    Throughout the course of my life, i’ve let my traumas stop me from having some strong bonds. They impacted the way I interacted with a lot of people and even made me lose people who could have potentially been some friends/acquaintances.

    Can relate. I have hyper independence after years of solitude stemming from high school. I try to connect but I find it weird sometimes. I do cope with loneliness and feel lonely but I have gotten better at managing it.

    You voice is so great. I studied choir-singing as a side subjects while studying theology from 1998 until 2003 and participated in many professional performances of classical pieces of music since then. Please, your voice is really beautiful. You got a very special and unique timbre in your singing-voice. Please don't hide this from us anymore. Share some songs with us from time to time. That would make me very happy and I am sure, I am not the only one.

    I find it so brave to admit that you are curious about religion, specially in this day and age. I am an orthodox Christian and i remember the first time that i told my friends what i actually believe in i felt so anxious and scared. So i respect you for saying that you are curious about it in front of thousands and thousands of people online.
    I also have to share my favorite part of the Bible (you don't have to read it but i actually think you'll like it :) ) it's 1 Corinthians 13 and it talks about love

    Greetings, welcome back to TH-cam. Thank you for sharing your embarrassing moments. If I would to share one humiliating thing about myself is my extreme fear of dogs. When I was younger, I was so terrified of dogs, I would run away and cry. It took one day to have a friend who had a dog who was very friendly and taught me that not all dogs are aggressive. Now I am a lot less scared of dogs.

    I feel anxious sharing my failures with my loved ones, meaning that my friends, family, and partner would not love me the way I am if I fail to perform at certain level. I admit that I have to work on this thing and try to communicate it to myself that it is okay to fail sometimes and it’s okay to show feelings of being overwhelmed and still be cared for who you are, not for what you are or what you do for others.

    I'm literally the same age as you and struggle with the same things. The thing that helps me daily is accepting the concept of destiny. Just like we don't choose whether it rains tomorrow or not we can't choose the twists and turns of life because they are external of us. All we can do is to choose how to respond. I might never achieve things I dream of with all my heart, but if at the last moments of my life I'll be able to say "I did as much good as I could" that will console me greatly. That there was a purpose to all of this.♥

    Carl Jung said, “No tree, it is said, can grow to heaven unless its roots reach down to hell.” (Dr. J. Peterson loves that one). We cannot reach heaven, but that doesn’t mean that we cannot reach new heights, and the only way to do it is digging into our darkest, but most fertile places within ourselves. Good for you, you're doing it right; especially when you do it in front of 1.65 million, and possibly, the entire internet. That requires honesty and courage. And I can feel that you speak for a lot of your followers and even for those who don’t follow you. I find my own thoughts in many of yours, but trust me, probably billions of people around the world feel the same, but they don’t have your introspection or the courage to admit it.
    Several of your admissions hit home in me, including the love one; but that is water under the bridge.
    The part of religion hit really hard. I'm your opposite. I came from a religious background and from faith. It took me a really long time, effort and frustration to understand that humans are better without religion, yet life is much harder without it. Learning about the bible, reading it a few times, end to end, reading copious amounts of information about my religion and other religions, about the human mind, about the history of faiths, put me beyond the point of No-return. The solace, the meaning, the purpose, the source of a superior justice in a world of injustice, even the mingling and the singing in a chorus at church; sometimes I still miss them too; it made life easier, not better, but easier. But I know that I could never come back to the faith, not now, knowing what I know. I lost them, but I lost them for the better; although I'll always be grateful to it because religion can teach you really good lessons; you can learn them from other sources, (philosophy, sociology and more) but I learnt ethics from religion, and I appreciate it.
    P.S. Your mom is right, she loves you, but she was honest with this one. You have a pretty voice but mostly you have a beautiful soul... I mean (for us, nonbelievers) a beautiful mind, or essence, or... or... or that "je ne sais quoi" that made Descartes said "I think, therefore I am".
    Great video.🙂👍👍
