From cake stands to draped ladies, there is something for everyone. Start or add to a coveted collection. You will see treasures that belong in museums, or even the White House. Depression Glass and Jadeite are practical and purposeful. Of course, they are plentiful here. See the items high on my wish list. Join me for this roadshow of vintage glass.

Your comment about the 5 foot punch bowl on the grave revived a memory. I couldn’t have been over 5 years old when visiting a family grave yard, and noticing all the cut glass and beautiful bowls on many graves. My mother said they were filled with water and flowers placed inside. When the flowers were gone, the beauty of the glass remained. You never see that now. Unfortunately it would be broken or stolen. In the 50’s , it would never be touched. Some of it had been there so long that the glass had turned purple from the sun. Some graves had only a piece of beautiful glass as a headstone could not be afforded. Thank you, MB for the beautiful tour.

Me too. Also, my grandparents (I’m 69), had a stillborn child at the end of the depression and were so poor that the only way they could mark th grave was a pile of glass marbles.

This preview was great. So many beautiful pieces of stunning glass. I enjoy learning about the different manufacturers and history as you narrate. There were so many pieces that I remember from my childhood and other glass that I see in antique shops. My favorite - the etched glassware at the end of the video. I'm afraid I'm living in the wrong era but I do use my vintage pieces. Thank you, LMB

Thank you so much, Mary Beth! Can't tell you how.much I enjoyed this. Glass shows are like sunshine and flowers for me. My mom was a collector, and we visited many thrift stores, glass shows, antique shows, yard sales and so on, always hoping to find a special piece. She would have loved your videos, especially anything about glass. This Tennessee show has amazing collections....many objects I have never seen before, so again, thank you for inviting us along! Maybe I'll see you at the show in a couple of weeks.😊
Edited to correct location (duh) from Kentucky to the actual location of Tennessee.

Love this glass show. I have 5 pieces of the Stars and Moon blue glass that my mother collected. I have a large compote pedestal stand and the cruets for oil and vinegar and a round candy dish with lid and a large pedestal covered candy dish. I love them and love that blue color. I have them displayed on a shelf near the front door and they sparkle when the sun hits them. Love your videos. I have learned a lot from them. Thank you!👍🥰💜

This show was fabulous. ALL glass is beautiful no matter what color it is! Again I have to thank you for identifying a piece I have had for a long time. (the last piece was the Minton vase that is in the MMA) This time it was the blue Fostoria large vase. Years ago I bought a pair of candlesticks with matching vase in pink glass. They had the gold etched Greek design on them. The candlesticks were identified immediately as Heisey but no one thought the vase was Heisey. So now I know the vase is Fostoria. Strange that a set was made up of 2 different companies as the original owners had purchased them as a set. I will always be so glad that I found your channel. 🙂 p.s. I am also sorry to say that I passed up a pair of those candelabras for $50 each at a yard sale.

I adore glass. This video was so enjoyable to watch. I don't have use for the vast majority of it, as I live a very simple life. However, there is one piece I want, and that is a cut glass square pitcher. I hope to get out to some resale shops to look for one. They don't appear to be expensive, but shipping costs are more than the pitcher itself, from the ones I looked at on Ebay.

    • @LadyMaryBeth

We are going to Franklin soon and you’re giving me so many ideas of what to see while there. I adore the classic three (China, crystal, and sterling silver). As a degree home economist, I was raised to value all things finely made and beautiful for creating a home. Thank you for your lovely TH-cam videos. We visit Houston frequently because my husband’s family mostly live there. I really appreciate all the locations of thrift stores in the area. My favorite thrifted item was actually found by my sister-in-law in Houston. She called my husband one day from a charity thrift store in Houston with the amazing news that someone had donated twelve place settings of my much loved Minton Grasmere China still in the original packaging. Since my China is only available in the UK and Europe, I was delighted.

Sadly that competition fell out of favor with my generation. Being an only daughter I kept everything, but sadly my Fostoria American punch bowl hasn't seen the light of day since 1988 at my son's wedding. I accompanied my mom when she bought it in the late 1950s. I was quite young and couldn't imagine why she wanted it.

Haven’t been to a glass show in ages. I gravitate to the blue and pink. About an hour away from me is the Depression Glass Museum in Wellington Ks. I want to go back.

I recently stumbled upon your videos and am so glad I did. I collect Viking and LE Smith swung vases, and drooled when I saw this video. Also, I learned a lot about other glass makers/patterns in this video. I see it in the wild, but I’m never certain what it is until now. Thank you for the wonderful learning opportunity.

Amazing collection! You could rent out for parties. There is a company in Atlanta that does this. Their top-tier is Lenox Brookdale, my mother’s pattern. 🍽️
