I usually use the T Cam but I was planning on doing a driver career mode with this camera and make it ultra realistic (turn off proximity arrows, mini map etc) to get a real immersive experience. Thanks a lot for the video
Mate, own up to your mistake in commenting something negative enough to warrant multiple disagreeing replies. So what if it's impossible, doesn't stop us from trying. You're wasting your time, and our brain cells.
Thanks for your videos. In open wheel racing I love the cockpit view, it’s so immersive. But recently I have moved over to ACC and that’s a whole new kettle of fish. I must admit I am very surprised at how much I like ACC over F1 . I like the verbal warnings you get when another cars close and when there’s a crash ahead. I never thought I would like it so much. Best wishes Brian.
I've been using the inside view for many years and have reviewed a lot of information. I think that it is impossible to take a reference point from Charles's camera because his camera shoots in wide-angle (fisheye) mode. That is, everything is convex and distant. If you try to imagine how it really is, then there are several factors. 1. The rider is very close to the handlebars. To look at the elements of the steering wheel, he needs to tilt his head down. 2. Front wheels are wide apart.
Thanks for making this follow-up video for the Cockpit Cam.....Nice and in-depth BUT I was hoping that you would have some sort-of Formula or Calculator for us to set a correct and realistic FoV depending on our Screen Size and how far we're sitting away from our screen. I've seen a Formula / Calculator to setup a realistic and correct FoV in Racing Sims before, for both P.C and Console, but it was a while ago now, so I know it exists, I just can't find it again. If anyone can help with this it would be Very Much Appreciated !?!?
I am using a single 49" Ultra-wide Odyssey Neo and I have the monitor about an inch behind my wheel and as far down as I can move it vertically before crashing into the shaft of my Simucube. The thing that is driving me a little crazy in regards to realism is that F123 settings will not let me adjust tilt and the vertical camera position as low as needs to be to align perfectly with my real wheel.
Last year i turned the middle thing off, this year i decided to keep it on. It was honestly a lot easier and quicker to get used to than i thought it would.
I switch between TV pod cam and cockpit view but I've been using cockpit view more. Also I have a steering wheel so all the more reason to do that. Of course I also have the halo column turned off.
The recommended setting is actually more realistic in my opinion. And this is why: Cams don't have the same field of vision that the human eye does. I'm talking periperal vision here. In an F1 car, those side view mirrors are there for a reason. they might not be in the direct line of sight of the drivers but they can move their eyes without moving their head. Hence, the can see the side view mirrors; left or right, just by moving their eyes. Something cameras can't do. If Codemasters can take that into account, then we'll have an F1 Sim that's already good, even better. Thanks for this TUT. I'll stay with recommended despite not being able to look left or right with just my eyes.
Sorry but it's got to be said.....When looking through the Visor Cam, the camera is actually set in the front and top-right of the drivers helmet, so the drivers eyes are actually lower and set back in the helmet a little more than what we see through the camera whilst obviously being centered as well. So we're actually seeing a little more than what the driver can see since we're looking from a slightly higher and more forward position. On a slightly different note.....What's your opinion.....Do you think that a longer / bigger FoV gives a greater sense of speed over a shorter / smaller FoV or Vice-Versa ???
Maybe you can take a look in the french grand prix when you have some spare time. Not sure but I think it is buggy because in my game (2nd season MyTeamCareer) the KERS goes more and more empty from round to round without using it.
@@CS_Pitti May be right. Just did the race and in the race it was much better (normal) then in the free practice sessions where it went empty in about 5 laps.
I like this. Even with a controller, but any chance or setting i can adjust to make the view a little bit more like the visor cam? So that its not right in the middle but a little more to the side? Thanks!
I think you started mentioning it in the video on free look off center. I want to turn off that snap to center. With tobii 5 i sometimes lose head tracking so it want to snap right to center making quick head jerks sometimes. I think its cause they have the joy to snap to center when used as free look.. any way possible to change this setting?
Anybody that ain't sweatin this is the view they choose. I love the immersion
Loving these videos. Would love to see some more videos on dualsense/controller setup for newer players. Especially regarding brake bias thanks!

Unless you plan on turning replay flashbacks off the prepare to be last every race.
Go for it! I ran my whole F1 22 career in cockpit cam and it was great fun

Honestly if you didn't create these videos then I be so slow with no setups or sense of what to do with setups

Dude I tried to get use to it but changed cam after few hours just honestly hate it should be a option to completely remove it
@@hayden1990lmjm I'm pretty sure there is isn't there? Also you can fine tune your camera settings to help make it as good as possible.

Unfortunatly not. We can't move the cockpit cam left or right.
Cockpit cam to me makes the road seems more wider...

Ciao che monitor stai usando?? Io ho un samsung 32:9 le impostazioni sono le stesse??
Since we can look the camera view now, I wonder esports will follow suit. I wish.
They should have to TV Pod makes no sense
Can I use this for f1 22 as well?
My ERS percentage is white now, how can i turn it black again?
Is camera customization in career mode, if so I can find it
Yea for sure. Its in the camera settings when you pause the game.
Can someone please help. My camera won't move far enough over to see my mirror?
Visor cam is not same what drivers see,, Cam focal length is different from human eyes. Nothing realistic about any cam view.
How you can do this on 5:17? I can't look my mirrors with Xbox controller.
You need to map the look left and right input to your analogue stick or a button.
@@SimRacingSetups I already set this button. After the update, a lot of people can't do this.
My look to apex doesn’t work :(
when i make changes to the cockpit camera nothing happens. Any suggestions?
Same with me
...in career mode.
I can't diactivate the halo.. somebody know why?
Does anyone else use nose(alt) cam, or is it just me?😂
one of the simulators they showed in drive to survive used this cam
I just tried it today and it immediately felt natural. Still need to tweak it. Can’t find any videos on the view.
Are you able to remove halo on PS5 or only PC?
ur able to remove halo on both
Bro we need the wet setups. I’m struggling bro😭😭
Just max out the aerodynamics and stiff suspension with high brake bias
