Took me time to realize the steering wheel wasn't the game steering wheel but a real one... This setup is just so realistic. Mate you might enjoy it so much
Damn, that looks absolutely unreal Will. Love the POV on your rig in F1 23, looks absolutely immersive!! I'd love to come visit and interview you / showcase your incredible rig! Cheers, from the Gold Coast :D
Looks very good Will ! It always takes a lot of time to make the F1 games look realistic. Especially because you can't hide the steering wheels. Don't know how you did it, but I always solved such problems with a HUD in SimHub. Great Job
Love the content so much! Seems to me the au has been improved so much this year. Max is showing that astute AI. A trick I’ve seen from other racers is to stay behind at turn 2, get DRS and overtake in turn 3
The VR is unplayable though, and I feel like in 2023 that's kind of a big deal? I know it's a relatively small userbase, but if a small italian studio and a small brazilian team can do it, I don't understand why the F1 series can't make it playable. Like they had my 100 bucks for a few hours, and I took it back for this one small yet huge issue. I also thought the steering felt comically light and didn't offer much feedback, but I've never driven a real F1 car so maybe they know what we don't, heh.
VR runs fine for me, but I do have a 13900K with a 4090. Sorry to hear others are having problems still. Last year's game I couldn't get over 10FPS with a 12900k and 3090.
ONFG bro i actually went insane when he almost got passed at the last part, its been i think a month then some since the last race, felt like it was actually race day near the end
It's always nice to see you having so much fun, Will! I could really feel the emotions throughout the race. By the way, would you consider reviewing yet another motion rig - Prosimu T1000 3 Motions 'SV (3DOF)? It's a new silent version and is relatively reasonably priced for 3DOF system at 5k €. I would be thankful forever, because I'm considering it but it is such a huge amount of money to spend. I would like to be sure that I will pick the right one and there is no better source of information than your channel. Peace ✌
@Boosted Media How on earth did you remove the steering wheel and get the seating position so perfect ? Did they actually give gamers with triples more options in 23?
Its more realistic to remove the Halo. Hold your hand up in front of your face and close one eye. Your hand is visible, this is what its like on a flat 2D screen. Now do the same with both eyes open and focus beyond your hand and your hand disappears, not completely, but your brain filters it out.
hey will, quick question. how did you remove the steering wheel animation all together. in the game it can be turned off and it becomes a static wheel that doesnt turn. how do you get rid of it all together. i feel like im missing something simple. thanks
Nice one! Knowing Codemasters this must be a handful to pull off, but thanks again for bringing us "The Dream sim rig" content for us to enjoy. How's the FFB feeling compared to the other sims (like AMS2 which did improve FFB in 1.5) this time around? Did it improve enough? Kinda hate how this one twice more views than other ultra-realistic videos though. Must be because of the sim itself xD
I have a lot of things on my bucket list, and this is one of them. I don't have the money to get/build one, but I am looking forward in the future for one of these setups.
Codemasters nailed replay camera angles finally. Just wished they had prioritised 60fps replay mode over ray tracing, or give an option to choose one or the other.
Really impressive, though it still looks more like CGI than actual race footage because light interacts with the atmosphere. There's no air in (most) 3D games. Just empty space between objects
What does the outter sides of the rig look like? And how did you make it look so real? What stuff did you use with the pedals and steering wheel? Did you buy one of those F1 outside bodyshellandput a seatand pedals and the steering wheel in it or something? also what monitor screens and what graphics card and also what are you using for your computer like how is this so life like?
