I watched two other guys video on You Tube and they have a good one but I think they have overkill on pvc use and caps. Yours looks much simpler and less expensive. You saved money not needing as much pvc and only 2 caps. I will go with yours. Thanks for the video. They had too much comedy in their video. Your's is straight to the point. I like that.

Thanks, I've watched several versions of this, and yours seems to be right, without a lot of extra expense, and unnecessary pieces....I'm going to build it... Nice chop saw, btw...

Very nice! I'm throwing one together soon. I think the price of buying one is insane when you can build one for under $50.

i like to keep my 12-15ft rods off the tailgate, set screws/glue on tees and screwed to truck bed with "c" clamps

I got the PVC stuff today. I'm going to do it tommorrow after work. I wish the 1 1/4 pipe was as heavy as the 1 1/2.

The difference is slight but you'll get the same results. It's great as an adjustable set up. And if you decide that you want it more permanent then you could always fasten it down. Thanks for watching and trying it out

Any issues with it bouncing Around and the rods hitting the tailgate. I’m going to build one but going to glue it. Thanks for the video.

wouldnt it slide around when you drive

The spacers in back keep it from sliding back. You just make those spacers long enough so it puts the width wise cross piece against the wheel wells. There is no place it can really slide. Not. a lot of weight in the poles. The way this is made, it's boxed in behind the wheel wells.
