The darkness in his eyes is of course comes from his own traumas in the white room. However since enrolling in this school, he has started to develop a new personality for himself. At the end of that scene, he did not say "That should do it" in his monologue. Instead he said: "Men are difficult, frasturating creatures who wont let others see them cry expect in special cirumstances. Which was exactly why I, too wanted the kind of friendship where I could shed tears in front of someone. No more words needs to be said. All he needed was a friend at his side, someone who he could be vulnerable with and who would listen. By doing that.. he could begin walking forward again." I quite like his self-contradictory personality.
Hirata wasn’t wrong when he said that talking to Mii was a waste of time. She can’t help him because she will never understand him. She only went after him because of her crush. He asked to be left alone, and she forcibly grabs him which is not right. Everyone else in the class made the right move to leave him alone when they also knew that they couldn’t help him that way he was. Only Ayanokoji and Koenji were able to put his walls down.
I don't normally comment, but thank you for having such a wise and insightful reaction. You guys took the words out of my mouth and completed it beautifully during the Hirata Scene. This is why us young ones (I'm only 20) should be continued to be taught to respect our elders. ❤
I don't know why people think not liking a character = not liking the show🤷 but it is what it is LOL Also, the whole Koenji scene...idk man...seeing Koenji on the screen instantly makes me laugh😂 even the freaking shining knight music in the background when he was carrying Mii-chan hahah I feel we can understand Hirata a little better now....of course, his attitude was way over the top, but it's nice seeing the dude is back on tracks. And ngl...seeing the 4 leader classes together gave me goosebumps LOL that last shot was so epic
The bullying in Japan (and other Asian countries) seems to be something completely out of control tbh. It's not unusual for people to be harassed to the extreme in all fronts, physically, emotionally, psychologically, even sexually... If you'll remember from season 2, Kei has a big scar on her abdomen from being stabbed or something; it's not surprising that Hirata ended up so messed up (not only because of what happened to his friend, but also from what he probably had to do to keep control). Also, Ryuen showing up at the end like "I don't need a Protection Point backing me up to _crush_ Ichinose" uuu so hype! Can you tell Ryuen is one of my favorites? lol

What kiyo told hirata was all a lie by the way hirata did try all he could to save everyone in the class but it was kiyo and horikitas fault Yamagod got expelled even though we all know he had to go. He basically guilt tripped him into moving forward cuz it’s all done now and if he continues to do nothing it’ll just cause them to lose more people. Wich kiyos also lying about not wanting to lose more people remember he’s trying to get rid of kushida.

IKR!?!? These people are the worst! (Me being sarcastic on us, not the commenter we mentioned) We use the shock face from time to time, but I don't think they're as overdramatic. Many of them are even stolen from me managing to actually shock Brian and Christine and screen shot it. Mine are usually more staged, but that just makes editing and publishing easier.
