    SUBSCRIBE, LIKE & SHARE if you want Clean Energy & Electric Vehicles to be the norm.
    In this mind-blowing episode Elliot goes behind the scenes at the impressive BYD (Build Your Dreams) factory in Shenzhen to find out what makes them such an electric superpower.
    What BYD have achieved in the last few years is simply staggering - from batteries and solar panels to a full suite of electric vehicles including cars, trucks, taxis and buses. As well as a tour of the factory, Elliot took the BYD Han and the Tang cars for a drive, checked out the D1 taxi and rode a couple of their electric buses.
    With the factory currently producing 400 cars a day, we are pretty excited to see what BYD will do next!

      Great post, and I do not want to seem greedy. But FC needs to do a follow-up post, that's just about the BYD blade battery. Since some key aspects were missing from it in this story. Such as not mentioning it's LFP chemistry and the unique game changing way it's constructed. It's truly amazing tech, so IMHO it deserves it own post.
      Also when will BYD or Toyota or any other brand bring it to the west???

    What maybe not many know is that BYD is the first Chinese OEM to use Swedish Dirac Research’s audio software algorithms to optimize the audio system and get high-end sound performance. BYD Han’s top range audio system use Dirac Live technology also used in many high-end home audio systems. It also has Dirac branded speakers, one of the first cars to use a cool software company brand on their speakers. All in all a very nice and beautiful car.

      I'm a little confused, BYD had to go to Sweden in order to obtain high end audio sound. I always thought that there were many high end audio suppliers already in China. They seem to have all products covered from lower end budget to high end products in every category. Thinking about it, (after re reading your comment) I guess it would add that "cool" factor to say " yada, yada, yada, & it's got an imported DIRAC Research audio system with 43 speakers & 9 sub-woofers in the back . . . " But as most audiophiles know high end audio systems require concentrated listening in order to hear the "triangle" when it chimes in amongst all the other instruments. So more of a gimmick.

    • @JABelms
      @JABelms 3 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      @@badabing6852 Don't think about it too much, Dirac is just audio software and it's probably cheaper than Dolby licenses that's why they probably got it. Also China has great audio gear but I never seen any high end audio software from China. Also do remember that BYD products are marketed towards the European market as well, so there is more reason they went with Dirac than you think

Your last president gave China the incentive to become self-sufficient in semiconductors etc and they are now sinking vast resources into fab lab development. They will probably catch up in about 5 years then eclipse everyone else, probably including TSMC. I'm in the UK so don't bother calling me a "Communist China troll". • @obsidianstatue
    @obsidianstatue 3 ปีที่แล้ว +194

    What set China apart as a country is really a sense of mission. The thinking in China is that we missed the ICE car revolution, only caught up somewhat near the tail end of it, so we are not going to miss the EV revolution. The government and the industry are working together to achieve that goal.
    In the West, vested interest groups like slow moving legacy automakers and petroleum lobbies and partisan politicians are all pulling in different directions, so of course the progress will be slower in the West.

Tech they were using was several years in front of western countries. Thanks for doing this clip.
    I have always wanted to go Shenzhen.
    I have just finished watching a private video on the BYD ATTO 3.
    Amazing amount of features.
    I will have to visit via Hong Kong.
