We wanted to compare it to our favorite EG4 ones, so we put it through the test. It's solid, don't get us wrong, but is it still worth it? EG4 just released an updated model for their budget rack battery for the same price as this. The EG4 has better components, better code compliance, more options and the ability to connect an external screen. Also, EG4 support is significantly better then whatever was going on in this video. Ruixu needs to either reduce the price or up their game because of right now I can't think of any reason by buy one of these over an EG4.
There is total of four temperature sensors fixed throughout each RUiXU battery pack. A connection point where two wires are connected; one of the points is for the temperature sensor.
Their compatibility with LuxPower inverters is half-assed... it will work ok but the inverter will not know the true capacity of your battery bank or how many packs are in series.
Pls upgrade the firmware to LD18,this is the latest version. Battery Setting: Both DIP bit6 and bit7 of the master battery are set to ON,All slave batteries OFF Inverter Setting: Select“Li-ion battery”under ‘Battery type’ Select”6”under ‘Lithium brand’

Working on an install with these batteries in Ontario, Canada. Set up was pretty easy as was integration with Solark inverter. Communication with Ruixu was pretty good via email, responses usually came within a day. Working with eSafe for installation approval has been challenging because they have never seen these before. Ruixu's UL9540A approval is only recent, so that was a problem for a while. Esafe wants official documentation that these batteries are compatible with Solark inverter but Ruixu can't provide that. Is this something that other battery manuf. are able to supply?
I can see the state of charge (SoC) indicator lights clearly on the front of the unit so it does give you the battery percentage in 25% increments at least.
Thank you for the review. I would consider buying these, AT FIRST I thought these did not have UL 1973, but they have the Intertek version of UL 1973 which will pass NEC requirements. Had to download the manual, since the only thing on the label was "Intertek", they should add to their label that it meets UL standards for UL1973 as certified by Intertek. The lack of email support is odd... and sort of worries me.
I will stay with EG4s for now, as I dislike the special type of battery connection. At least with EG4s, one can use any length of cable by putting the correct lugs on it.

I have been watching your videos, and I find them very informative. I am thinking about going solar and wanted to check with you about installing Tesla panels with Powerwall 3. I should be getting a quote soon, and I know it is not going to be cheap. What is your thought?
Great video as always. What would you suggest for a 6000 w battery home backup with 8000 Watt hours mild solar maybe 2000 Watts input?. What would be your suggestion on the best kit I should get
Thank you for your review. There are better options with better features I sent a email to them for battery to battey cables, I didn't get a answer. Because of no support, I won't purchase Thanks again

Support is a HUGE issue. You can easily spend $10K or more on batteries and if a cell or bms dies, you are screwed.

What is the best bang for the buck on server rack batteries? Or would it be cheaper to go with stand alone batteries that you would wire up?

Thank you… great info…
It should technically be pronounced "ray-shoo" and it would roughly translate to "rich".
interesting!

You about to spend a f ton of money for the Tesla branding. my quote for my 16 x 40 tiny home roof was insane 😭
