    I have always wondered if the stuff in the tombs were really just replicas made of wood and with Gold gilding, and the actual things, like a solid gold throne, were kept by the new Pharaoh and used or melted down to make a new one, and we just dont have any solid gold ones left remaining. Considering the quantity of Gold available to the rulers of Egypt, it doesnt make sense to have it done in such a cheap way. And gilding isnt as durable either....it doesnt make sense that something like the royal throne that got loads of use, would be gilded and not solid, especially since they considered the person sitting on it to be a Godly being.

    Just leave the king to rest , gosh , humans are always trying to do things like this to prove a point which doesn't even need to be proven . Leave it for histrory and for egypt to keep its values and possessions . I don't mind going into it and maybe filming the tomb but not literally take out the artifacts and place it all over the world . Who even let this man in ?

    Wow imagine having that rope wonder what happened to that can't believe but was there all those year's that and of course him and all the good. I think where they tryed to erase he his father's name. It was easier for his tomb to survive. So much has been lost to time.

    But wait, i don get it.
    Why would robbers, to get to the annex to steal the gold and silver pieces, when they HAVE to have seen the big gold stuff in the antechamber before reaching the annex?
    Why would they not take those in the antechambers before going for the ones in annex? I get it if they don dare to touch the room where the pharoah lies or them not finding the hidden room but what about the treasures in antechamber?

    • @bentonrp
      @bentonrp ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Either the things in the annex contained even more precious material than the ones we saw, or it was a rush heist and they didn't have the time and manpower to carry the heavier and larger things.

      @@akabaneaki Yeah. It's actually fascinating to wonder who those robbers were. Maybe Arabs who knew this was ancient, but didn't know just how ancient,
      maybe early so-called Christians around 300 A.D. who had zero respect for the religions of old. Who knows what time era they were from, or how different a world view they had...? 🤔
      Or maybe it was just Howard Carter's team themselves 😂

    You say whenever an artifact is removed, exhibited or sold the value of the collection just increases even more. What are you talking about? They haven't sold anything and anything exhibited always returns.
