Even if he was born Muslim, he could have got those tattoos at a time when his iman was low. You never know someone's story just by looking at them. We should embrace anyone coming to the mosque.

unspeakablyMenace It doesn’t ruin anyone else’s prayer if there was a skull on his body; it doesn’t even matter if there happened to be a crucifix on his body. Allah forgives all his believers that seek repentance, Allah’s mercy is much greater than your intolerance of someone’s tattoo. May allah guide you and us all.

Salaam bro! You & Br.Hijab are 100% correct. My reaction was negative however what doesn't get shown is what they were doing to be inside the masjid prior to this. No excuses though, this happened over a year ago & me & that uncle are best friends now lol. The house of Allah MUST be respected no matter if your rights are being abused or not but alhumdullilah you live & you learn. WAYOFLIFESQ Bless you my Brother. I am also a tattooed Muslim. Growing up tattooes were never taboo in my life as my father has tats brothers uncles etc. So unfortunately when it comes to tattoos I don’t even think twice about them. really when I get a new one I should fear the creator like I do with other things that are prohibited. It’s strange I don’t really know how to explain it. I love Allah and Islam but I must admit I’m not a great fan of Muslims in general. Alidawah and Bro Hijab keep me strong with their videos and reminders. Thanks for doing what you guys do.

I left Islam by becoming an atheist for 7 years. I returned to the Deen and on my FIRST prayer in a masjid after 7 years - an uncle (a kind of manager at the masjid) came and interrupted my prayer on the 3rd rakat by shouting and screaming "Leave, get the hell out of here or I'll kick your ass".
His argument was that my Salah was too long and at that rekat I wasn't keepign my hands folded. He must've assumed that I'm a Shia or sth because he said things like "What Tariqah do you follow?", "Go pray to the place where they taught you this prayer" "You weren't praying. That is not prayer." etc.
That made me very emotional and I started crying. I wanted to educate him so it wouldn't happen again. Ironically I had to show him my tattoos and earrings to prove him that I was just a lost young man trying to be Muslim again. That made him realize that he was wrong and he was ready to ask forgiveness but his ego didn't let him so he locked himself in the Masjid's depot and refused to have a conversation.
So this is not a problem of old age. This is a problem of the Ummah. The Ummah is the body and every Muslim is a cell or a tissue. When a cell gets sick it spreads it all over the body. We need antibodies ASAP.

Ignorance is the issue brother. Make no mistake .arab and south asian uncles out there can be jahil as anything. They look with big eyes if kids play about in mosque they scare people away in many ways. South asian Muslim elders many are uneducated in the education system and islamic education they dont know meaning of the surahs and hadiths they follow how they been taught by their elders. Knowing the meaning of hadith and in translation best in the language you understanding, makes you know many things and opens your mind!

My husband's a revert and he doesn't have tattoos but, if someone told him that he wasn't a Muslim or kicked him out of the masjid - his heart would be in a million pieces especially if it came from another Muslim. He doesn't even like being called by his Christian name - only the name he chose after he reverted to Islam. I want people to understand that though the man in the video was erratic in his behaviour , you have to understand that faith is very personal - especially to reverts...they break so many personal relationships, sometimes with their parents to accept and practice this deen and for them to feel alienated especially from the house of Allah is beyond heart breaking. I'm a practicing Muslim now but, in high school ...I never wore the hijab, I did not practice Islam and out of sheer stupidity and bad decision making I got a tattoo - I'm a different person now, I'm actually a practicing Muslim, a hijabi woman and I'm completely different than the person I was before- my husband is very conservative and orthodox in his views, he accepted and loved me for who I am today and not who I was yesterday ...in the same token I love and accept him for who he is today - a practicing Muslim who follows the Quran and sunnah to the "T" (note, he was a very practicing Christian, church every Sunday and all) ...basically, what I'm saying is that if I ever made comments about my husband being a Christian before out of absent mindedness- you'd see the sadness in his eyes ...the emotions come rushing in on a multitude of different things ..his struggle to have his parents accept him, his mother saying that him being a Muslim was worse than if he turned out to be a drug dealer, the realization that he was misguided for 19 years of his life not worshiping Allah and also realizing that the people he loves the most in the world are on a path of destruction (his family is still very Christian) and he has to live with the possibility of not being able to bury his mother as a Muslim when that time comes so, please brothers and sisters understand that revert or not - faith is so personal ...ripping away ones identity to be identified as a part of the ummah is so heart wrenching because you don't know the demons they've fought to be there ... masjid is the house of Allah , everyone is welcome - Muslims and non Muslims ...open the doors so, people can see how beautiful our faith is , we are not an exclusive community ...the deen is for EVERYONE

It's a short clip, so it's hard to know the whole premise, but if it's the tattoos, those were my first thoughts. But you are exactly correct, judgement is the word that is too big of a driving force in today's world. As a babyboomer, our generation sought to see less of it & here it is raising it's ugly head again. Anyone who believes in God or Allah knows there is only one who casts judgement at the end of our days.

    • @NoseyNana
      @NoseyNana 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

But I said nothing that should make you or anyone, except those who cast unneeded judgement, feel bad, so my conscience is clear. Rather than a Muslim, I feel you are just another Russian troll trying to fan flames of dissent, you certainly have the profile of one. Perhaps you are a 50center, the type that gets paid 50 cents per reply. If so enjoy the 50cents as I seldom answer trolls. Have a good day!

People Muslim or not, come from different backgrounds, have different dispositions, and range in religiosity. Keep your religion and relationship with your lord between you two. Don't let an ignoramus influence or tarnish your relationship with your lord.
Once I dropped my brother off at the mosque and I went home because I have really bad seasonal allergies. I don't want to be in prayer sneezing and sniffling getting people sick so I prayed at home. When I picked my brother up he told me the father of one of my friends asked why I didn't come to prayer and a guy with no job and sits in the mosque as a an excuse not to work interrupted and said to my brother "a kafir is a kafir" so this man not giving me the 70 excuses the prophet pbuh said to give your brother he just declared me a kafir. But I never let that ignorance get between me and my lord.

The brother in the video can be justified as rain but anger welcomes the Devil. To call someone Jahill through anger is shooting oneself in the foot. In a hadith reported by al Bukhari, a companion of the Prophet (PBUH) by the name Sulayman Ibn Sard said, “I was sitting with the Prophet (PBUH), and two men were slandering one another. One of them was red in the face, and the veins on his neck were standing out. The Prophet (PBUH) said I know a word which, if he were to say it, what he feels would go away. If he said “I seek refuge with Allah from the Shaytan,” what he feels (i.e., his anger) would go away.

@@saraqostahterra4548 I know Islam is against self-righteousness. Suppose, you know more about a particular subject today than you knew the year before. When you find someone who just started studying that same subject a year later you may feel a strong desire to boast about how much you know that subject and you can teach the new comer some lesson. This desire paves a way to self righteousness. The older we get, the more knowledge we have, the stronger our desire to boast. It's ironic because knowledge is suppose to make us less ignorant but in this case I guess not.

We have no idea what happened prior to him filming or the background of his history at that mosque. These days there are a lot of attention seekers who just want to go viral and Muslims are not exempt from it. He could have handled the situation better instead of screaming and acting emotional.

    • @AhmadAli-eb9mb
      @AhmadAli-eb9mb 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@Raza Khan no, chopping hands of the thief is legislated in Qur'an and sunnah, “And (as for) the male thief and the female thief, cut off (from the wrist joint) their (right) hands as a recompense for that which they committed, a punishment by way of example from Allaah. And Allaah is All Powerful, All Wise” [al-Maa’idah 5:38]
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The hand should be cut off for (the theft of) a quarter of a dinar or more.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, al-Hudood, 6291)
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) cursed the thief because he is a corrupt element in society, and if he is left unpunished, his corruption will spread and infect the body of the ummah. He (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “May Allaah curse the thief who steals an egg and has his hand cut off, or steals a rope and has his hand cut off.” (al-Bukhaari, al-Hudood, 6285).
As for women leaving the house without a mahram that is also legislated Going out of the house without the husband’s permission is a haraam action; Allaah has even forbidden women who are revocably divorced (first or second talaaq) from going out of their houses, so how about women who are not in that position? Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“O Prophet! When you divorce women, divorce them at their ‘Iddah (prescribed periods) and count (accurately) their ‘Iddah (periods). And fear Allaah your Lord (O Muslims). And turn them not out of their (husband’s) homes nor shall they (themselves) leave, except in case they are guilty of some open illegal sexual intercourse. And those are the set limits of Allaah. And whosoever transgresses the set limits of Allaah, then indeed he has wronged himself”
      [al-Talaaq 65:1]
      Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said:
Zayd ibn Thaabit said: The husband is the master (sayyid) according to the Book of Allaah, and he recited the verse in which Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“They both found her lord [sayyid] (i.e. her husband) at the door”
      [Yoosuf 12:25]
‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab said: “Marriage is slavery, so be careful with regard to whom you give your daughter for enslavement.” In al-Tirmidhi and elsewhere it is narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I urge you to treat women well, for they are prisoners with you.”
So a woman is like a slave or prisoner of her husband, and she cannot go out of his house except with his permission, whether her father, her mother or anyone else tells her to do that, according to the consensus of the imams. End quote.
      Al-Fataawa al-Kubra, 3/148
      Ibn Muflih al-Hanbali said:
It is haraam for a woman to go out of her husband’s house without his permission, except in cases of necessity, or shar’i obligations. End quote.
      Al-Adaab al-Shar’iyyah, 3/375
And as for women driving then that was done for the protection of the women. Read the fatwa of Imam Baz who these 2 brothers in the video follow themselves.
It's wrong to say something has nothing to do with islam when not knowing it's legislation because you could be called a liar against Allah's book. May Allah safeguard us. Aameen.

However, the other women tarted to talk about her behind her back, commenting on how she wasn't reading salah "properly" and comments about her dress, etc, which inevitably got back to her. She ended up stopping going to the Masjid completely after this. Shame on all of us.

This saddens me deeply. I am a Muslim convert, female, & i have 6 tattoos space out from shoulders to feet. And i also have several piercings besides me ears. I would be very angry and hurt if someone told me i was not Muslim because of this. Especially if it was while i was in the masjid. I am assuming he was there to pray, which is wonderful. So for a man to degrade him for tattoos, especially while inside the house of Allah, is just horrible! I dont blame him for his outrage. I probably would have been so negatively affected by that as well. It be better if he could have kept himself more calm. However, i excuse him because you know that had to cut his heart so deeply!
Dear Ummah, let us NEVER turn anyone away from the house of Allah! Shame on anyone who does.
When i first converted, i began to wear niqab 2 weeks later. I went to the masjid. After prayers, i put my niqab back on. Later, the Imams wife approached me and told me that if i continue to wear niqab, then i could not come there anymore. I was devastated. And i never went back.

Wallahi.... I feel this brothers pain. I'm a convert and have tattoos and the ignorance inside the Masjid in tUSA is at an all time high. I get into arguments (small little loud discussion) regarding my tattoos. I finally said, show me in the Qur'an, tafseer, Sahih Hadith that I must cover and/or remove my tattoos BEFORE I became a Muslim. It's an irritating on going thing that at year 2 of my steps into Islam I almost left because of the constant hardship & harassment I was under. Alhamdulillah for a brother from Pakistan and Morocco who over heard me talking and defended me. Sadly, I feel more home in Egypt (my wifey is an Egyptian) than I do in my own homeland tUSA. I then went to a dawah table before this in 1998 and the brother went "are you a muslim?" and I said "Yes" and he replied "well you dont look it" ........ I felt so embarrassed and humiliated and so walked away sadly. I then went to a islamic bookshop and the brother turned his back on me, would not say salam and approached a white women showing her around but gave me no similar welcome. Just keep going, angels are around Alhamdolillah. Allah sends His angels to comfort us in the moment and thats more than enough, Alhamdolillah.

Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatahu...
    Astaghfirullaah Adheem!
Allahu-aalam, yet, many Muslimeen from the Middle East and North Africa are prejudice against any other than their own culture...
Of course, the man's reaction should have started with...
Astaghfirullaah Adheem! To be said to those who hurt his feelings in saying that he was not of the Ummah...
Astaghfirullaah Adheem! To those who think their way of Islam is better than the other, yet, I openly will denounce the Wahhabi / Salafi ideology that ISIS and ISIL and Al-Nusra are following and interpreted wrongly...
I must exclude them; although, La haula wa la quwwata illa billah ~ There is no Power except for the Power of our One and Only Creator God Almighty...
Allahu-aalam, as God is the All-Knower...
Those who are raised with Islam and have committed sins are responsible for all those years, but a revert has those sins removed through sincere Kalimah Shahadah...
I don't believe that anyone should be kicked out of the masjid and when people come inside the masjid it is our duty for dawah deen...
I will never again allow anyone to be kicked out of the masjid...
I will protect the one who has come to seek shelter within Baitu Allah...

My mother’s brother who is mentally challenged was beaten with rod for whatever reason. Maybe because he dresses shabby and doesn’t take bath regularly. My uncle is mentally challenged but he never hurt anyone he is so kind and innocent. He reduced going to any mosque because of this incident.

Sallam brother this situation was familiar to me when I was younger. I was wearing pants that had a red cross that symbolized the cross for a hospital but a old Pakistani man came up to me and started yelling at me and telling me I should not be there because of the cross on my cloths . Remind you I am born Muslim and I grew up in that mosque. My uncle may Allah forgive him n give him jannath. Was sitting right there but did not say anything wich made me even more sad instead of getting angry I was very sad and started to have tears coming out . I could of reacted different but I got up and try to leave. A few other Muslims that knew me saw what happened and was very sad and started to cry and tell me it's ok this old man is just not educated and over reacted. I was more sad to see my uncle who said nothing and yet other Muslims right away try to comfort me and even told the old guy what he did was wrong and after prayer when I was leaving the old man try to say sorry to me. But he could not speak English but I understood him. I forgave that man . But still was and till this day feel some way of how my own blood did not care or say anything . But I hope Allah forgives all of us and I hope no One acts the way of that brother even tho I know how he was feeling because I wanted to act that way but I could not do so because it's just not in me to make someone else feel the sadness that I felt that day .... all do to a small cross that I didn't even notice on my pants ....

      What if you feel cold
Do you stay barefoot in winter on cold tiles with cold feet? Insha Allah dont make deen hard for yourself and others. Non Muslims get the wrong idea that Islam is a difficult way of life, our goal is to follow Sunnah and show others the beauty and simplicity Islam has to offer
      No hard feelings, salam

Out of respect for the mother who cleans. And out of respect for the house. In islam we do not walk around with shoes in the house. In winter you put on socks and sandals. No one walks around barefoot in winter. People wear thick winter socks and sandals. But dirty shoes in the house is a lack of respect towards the person cleaning the house and towards the house itself.

Most old people are arrogant and think that they are the most devout muslim as they pray five times a day. But they don’t the basic fundamentals islam like
    1) they deal with interest
    2) Smoke
    3) Don’t give zakat at all or perfectly
    4) Insult or scold juniors for nothing and their feelings.

I've been physically assaulted while joining the line for jummah prayer, shoulder charged out of place. I retook my place and whilst protesting he put his elbow in front of my face. I thought he may have had a phsyciatric problem and did my best to ignore him. After the prayer the one who had lead it gave me such a stare that left me in no doubt I wasn't welcome, I left and haven't set foot in a mashed since, consequently I have no contact with any Muslims in my area.

This is really sad. The Shi’a do not view tattoos as haram, with limits, as putting the names of the Holy on their bodies with the thought they they can become unclean. I watched the video of a new convert of three months, she was crying because Muslims told her the tattoos on her body were forbidden. In a time when so many people are converting to Islam this seems extreme. I am a convert, I have a tattoo, the only one I wish to please is Allah.

Please don’t make Islam sound like its a hard religion, if someone wants to do certain stuff respect that.... except drinking, adultery, committing zina and etc [ don’t judge them if they’re trying to connect with Allah.... ] Islam is a religion of love and peace, no need to force certain stuff on other people.
