I’m a faithful Muslim but this still struggles to sit well with me, I know it was a different society but I see even 16 year olds as children, anyone younger than me/younger than 21 I view as a child. The Surah that you provided Surah Al-Haqqah was a early revelation sent down to the prophet ﷺ at the beginning of his prophethood. This would mean that between the prophets death and the revelation of the chapter would be around a decade. The Verse you’re providing says ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ ٱلْوَتِينَ (Meaning in English) “then severed his aorta”. If you actually understand what the aorta is, you’d know that severing it would immediately cause the death. Now considering the time period between the revelation of this verse and the prophets passing, your claim would not make sense considering his aorta would’ve been severed years back as he was purportedly lying all his life about revelation according to you and your critic fellows. Now for the Hadith you provided, again it does not substantiate your claim as he would not have been able to speak about his aorta being severed if it was truly being severed since like I said above, the severing of it would immediately kill him.
Just cause someone is 9 and start their menses cycle doesn't mean they are sexual mature. A girl at nine having a child will be harmful for the child and the mother.

Studies have shown two things, first that people in a warm surrounding mature faster, secondly that physical maturity was always coherent with mental maturity up until the 19. century where people started maturing mentally years after they reached physical adulthood, it wasn’t like this back then. We have other narrations of Aisha ra. resting her chin on the prophets (saw) shoulder while they were both standing. The prophet was said to be of average height, you really think a little girl can rest her chin on a full grown men’s shoulder when they are both standing? And as the other guy asked, respectfully did you even watch the video? If Aisha ra. would’ve taken ANY kind of harm from that marriage it would’ve been impermissible.

There are lots of factors that actually dispute our mother Aisha’s (ra) age. Some sources use 9, but others would indicate anywhere from 12-17. What’s a fact is that she was the youngest of all of his wives and the most knowledgeable and famous for her bravery and strength. The strongest source I could find is that all of Abu Bakr’s (ra) children were born before Risalah (Prophethood) and Fatima (ra) was roughly 5 years older than Aisha. If the marriage took place when the Prophet (saw) was ~51 and Aisha was born before the message started at age 40, then she would’ve had to be ~12 at marriage and 14-15 at consummation give or take a year which is consistent with puberty. We also have to realise that in those times ages were estimated rather than precisely tracked as well so there’s no way of telling for sure how old people were. Those are my two cents. All I know is, we love and are proud of our mother Aisha and her honour is more important than any of us.

We know that ʿĀʾisha was married two or three years before hijra, thus placing her at fourteen or fifteen years old at the time of marriage and seventeen or eighteen when the marriage was consummated. Before we delve deeper into the discussion on this topic, it is very important to bear in mind that Imam al-Bukhari wrote his Hadith compilation (a.k.a. Sahih al-Bukhari) around 200 years after the death of prophet Muhammad. Therefore, his compilation, like many other Hadith compilations, do not qualify as contemporary historical record of the life and times of prophet Muhammad.(Please continue to read my answer till the end for more details on Hadith compilation and debates around authenticity of Hadiths). There are no direct historical evidences to show that Aisha was a child of 6 years when she was married to Muhammad, and 9 years when her marriage was consummated. Now, let’s get straight to the point. Here, I provide three arguments to show that the age of Aisha mentioned in aforementioned hadith is inconsistent with facts and logic, and thus, it fails the test of historical-critical analysis. In other words, the Prophet's marriage with under-age Aisha is nothing more than a myth.
a) Firstly, the Qur'an (primary source and contemporary historical record of the time of prophet Muhammad and of the earliest known formative period of Islam) does not mention anything about Aisha being a child or an “under-age” girl at the time of her marriage with Prophet Muhammad. The Quran indicates that there is an “age of marriage”(4:6) in principle, when both consenting partners are mature physically and mentally to enter into the legal contract (“covenant”) of marriage (4:21). There is no reason why Prophet Muhammad would go against such standards set in the Quran in case of his marriage with Aisha (irrespective of whether you believe that Quran is the Word of God or a product of Prophet’s unconscious mind or the collective unconscious).
b) Secondly, there is serious problem with the hadith of Aisha's under-age marriage with the Prophet, when subjected to historical-critical analysis. The problem starts with the fact that there was one narrator Hishām ibn ʿUrwa from whom this particular hadith originated. He narrated it when he was in Iraq, between the years 754 and 765 CE. Not only would this put the circulation of this report almost a century and a half after the events it purports to describe, but it would also mean that Hishām dropped this tale in the altogether different environment of Iraq, almost 1,000 miles away from the Arabian city of Medina (where the marriage would have taken place). Sketchy, isn't it? Due to this obvious reason, this particular hadith cannot be considered a reliable source of information about Aisha's marriage, by any stretch of imagination. From this perspective, historian Dr. Joshua Little of University of Oxford has recently published a detailed in-depth research on the Hadith of Aisha's marital age, which has been further confirmed and supported by Dr. Javad T. Hashmi of University of Harvard. I would strongly recommend it for further reading on this topic. Dr. Joshua Little explains that the Aisha's marital age reports are absent in the earliest Islamic sources, including in certain key biographical and legal works. Ibn Ishaq, Muhammad’s earliest known biographer, mentioned nothing about Aisha’s age at marriage(the detail was, however, added later by the historian Ibn Hisham). The marital age hadith is absent from the earliest Medinan legal collections, including Imam Malik’s al-Muwatta, even though the latter cites Hisham Ibn Urwa dozens of times (same narrator whom I mentioned earlier in my answer). To quote Joshua Little, “The failure of Malik to cite this hadith suggests not merely that Malik rejected it, but that it was not circulating in Medina at that time. This is especially given that the marital-age hadith has important legal ramifications, and thus would surely have demanded inclusion into a dedicated Madinan collection of Madinan legal Hadith.” Joshua Little further writes that, the earliest Maliki work to cite any version of the marital age hadith appeared “nearly three centuries after the hadith’s initial mass-dissemination in Iraq.” The news about early marriage of Aisha is absent from key early sources in Medina where the event would have taken place. Using this argument from silence, it can be concluded that “this was a story invented in eighth-century Iraq and only later back-projected onto the life story of Muhammad”.
c) The Third argument is that the idea of Aisha's underage marriage does not fit into the traditional Islamic chronology of events. Traditional Islamic sources, including the book of Imam Bukhari, tell us that Aisha was present in the Battle of Uhud. There is a narration reporting that Prophet's companion Anas said: “On the day of the battle of Uḥud when some people retreated and left the Prophet, I saw Aisha bint Abī Bakr and Umm Sulaym, with their robes tucked up so that the bangles around their ankles were visible hurrying with their water skins. Then they would pour the water in the mouths of the people, and return to fill the water skins again and came back again to pour water in the mouths of the people.” It is also known that the Battle of Uhud took place two years after the consummation of Aisha's marriage with the Prophet. If this is the case, and if Aisha was 9 when Prophet consummated the marriage, then it indicates a problem. An eleven-year-old girl would not be able to carry such heavy water skins and pour them into the mouths of the wounded, then refill them, and go back again in the battlefield. Furthermore, there is a narration that Ibn Umar did not receive permission from the Prophet to participate in the Battle of Uḥud because he was fourteen years old. If this is the case, then why would the Prophet have allowed a 11-year-old girl to accompany him in the battle? Either the hadith about Aisha's marital age is off, or the one about her being in the battle is. It is possible that both are wrong. Confusing much? That's my point. If Aisha was 9 years old when her marriage was consummated, then it creates confusion, contradiction and inconsistency even within the Hadith and Seerah literature. Another contradiction arises when we consider the age of Aisha’s sister Asma. The twelfth-century Damascene scholar, historian and biographer Ibn ‘Asākir (d. 1176 CE) narrates in Tārīkh Dimashq through his route to Ibn Abī az-Zinād that Aisha's sister Asma was ten years older than Aisha. In addition, the medieval Persian scholar Abū Nuʿaym (d. 1038 CE) says in Maʿrifat aṣ-Ṣahābah that Asma passed away in the year 73 AH/ 692 CE at the age of one hundred. If this was the case, that would make her twenty-seven years old at the time of hijra, meaning Aisha would have been seventeen at the time of hijra. We know that Aisha was married two or three years before hijra. This indicates that, Aisha was fourteen or fifteen years old at the time of marriage and probably around seventeen or eighteen when the marriage was consummated. Is it possible that Ibn ‘Asākir and Abū Nuʿaym are wrong about Asma’s age and her year of death? Yes, of course it is possible. The reason I quoted them, is to further emphasize the point that Aisha's marital age hadith doesn't fit into the traditional Islamic chronology of events.
Another possibility that can be taken into account is the Meccan age tradition. This was the practice of counting age starting from puberty, and is something that would’ve been prevalent during that time - aligning with cultural norms from the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him’s time. Considering this tradition, Aisha's age at marriage might have been counted differently than what would today. I am just throwing this point out as something extra for you to think about.

@Smart Khan Ofcourse the use of Quran and Hadith. That is what you used before and I'm not saying you made things up. You gave references. And I thank you for being open to discussion. So regarding the first one Sahih Bukhari 6:60:311, the Prophet had multiple wives and he would try to give each wife her fair share of his marital duty as their husband. Receive implying for sexual intercourse. Ayesha being the young virgin wife is referring to his other wives. And why wouldn't a wife who was young object to her husband treating her the same as his other wives who were widows and divorcees ? Also there is the context of this Surah. If you read it, this Surah has a lot of verses regarding the wives of the Prophet. That is because it came after they had displeased him and tried to trick him because they believed in favouritism . So this was God admonishing them that the Prophet can receive whom he pleases and delay whom he wishes. About this: Sahih Bukhari 3:48:823 . My friend, I don't see how you've taken this to mean ridicule or belittle. It merely tells a story of the Prophet being reminded of a verse by someone else reciting it. If we make a science fair together and when I'm setting it up someone asks where the extension cable is and I saw "Oh, seems Smart Khan forgot it" I am not belittling you or even saying anything slightly negative. I'm just mentioning that you forgot something. Same way, the hadith only mentions the Prophet having a slip of memory. We don't consider him to be supernatural incapable of mistakes. Take Sahih Bukhari Book 4, Number 1184: "The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) led us in the 'Asr prayer and gave salutation after two rak'ahs. Dhu'l-Yadain (the possessor of long arms) stood up and said: Messenger of Allah, has the prayer been shortened or have you forgotten ? The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Nothing like this has happened (neither the prayer has been shortened nor have I forgotten). He (Dhu'l-Yadain) said: Messenger of Allah, something has definitely happened. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) turned towards people and said: Is Dhu'l-Yadain true (in his assertion) ? They said : Messenger of Allah, he is true. Then the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) completed the rest of the prayer. and then performed two prostrations while he was sitting after salutation." So he was human and he made a mistake and offered 2. Then he corrected it. There is even direct admonishing of the Prophet in the Quran in Surah Abasa 80 first few verses. It's about Abdullah bin Umm Makhtum.
@Smart Khan As for the last part. The Prophet wasn't killed by the poison. He felt that it was still affecting him because he was human. As for the poison, it was not given by a muslim rather a disbeliever who said, "I gave you the poison because if you were truthful it would not affect you and if you were a liar I would rid the world of you" And if you read the hadith, it says "I still feel the poison..." Sahih Bukhari 4428. Which shows he'd been feeling it for a long time but in the state of sickness, he was expressing it's severity as more. Which is true, when you're sick your past injuries hurt more. Now there is a lot of geopolitical analysis of what happened after the Prophet died. The dispute which led to their death wasn't started right after the Prophet died but came many years after at the time of the third caliph. When the first caliph was selected, all Hazrat Ali said to him was "I feel you have hastened". So someone who was known as the gate of the city of knowledge wouldn't exactly say one thing before pledging allegiance to the caliph. He said that because the caliph was decided while Ali was still busy preparing the body of the Prophet for burial. As for the family, Abu Bakr said it best, "By Allah, in Whose Hand is my life, the kinship of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) is dearer to me than the kinship of my own people." Sahih Muslim Book 32, Hadith 61. Regarding the first Fitna, it was a difference in priority of the followers. And you can see why both had their logic. One group saying that we need to unify and then punish, the other saying we need to punish first because we can't unify without that. You can believe either was right as both were well educated and respected companions. But it led to the first fitna and the civil war. I hope I was able to clarify somethings. If there is anything else, I am very much open to answer to the best of my knowledge.

This is a proven scientific fact. So using today's kids as an example as getting the puberty earlier, proves AGAINST your weak excuse. All medical professionals would agree 99% she wasn't physically mature. Period. And in every other way, she was 9 YEARS OLD! If any of you have kids and have seen them at 9, you know very well that sex with a child of that age is NOT okay. I'm a Muslim and no, it doesn't made sense to me. Consumating a 9 yrs old at 1400 yrs ago even if it was normal at that time is simply wrong. A minor is a minor. As a Muslim I will simply exclude this hadith and believe in the others to remain a Muslim because defending this would make me a really sick person! It was a different world back then. Marrying children was OK. Marry had Jesus at about 15. Aisha slept with Muhammad at 9. I'd like to add the fact that life circumstances were also different back then, including life expectancy. I don't want to dish out the wrong information but I've read that the average life expectancy in prophet Muhammad's (SAW) time was around 35, far lower than that of today's time- averaging at around 70. The same can be said about times such as the Victorian era, where boys began attending universities at the age of 14/15. Anyways, the point I'm trying to make is: back then, you had to do things earlier on in life because you've got to fit it all into your estimated life span- if you know you won't reach the age of 30, why would you get married after 20, knowing you'll both only spend a limited amount of time with your spouse, and not spend time with your children?

Anyways, I included the fact that i was on the fence about the life expectancy (of people in Muhammad SAW's time) and people have addressed this too. Muhammad SAW proposed the idea that she and his adopted son Zayd (who was a slave) should get married because he wanted to demonstrate that social class does not and should not matter to anyone- because it doesn't matter in the eyes of God. Later on, she and Zayd got divorced and then SHE proposed to Muhammad because she loved him. Eventually, they got married. And to answer your last question... yes, he was in fact a prophet

Learn the age of asma during the hijrah, who is unanimously accepted as being 10 years older than aisha. Learn what age aisha was when she accepted islam. How much before the hijrah it was. Learn what age abdullah ibn abi bakr was during badr and hudaibiyah. And what age he was when he became muslim. The same abdullah that abu bakr was looking and searching for during badr. If he found him on the battlefield he wouldve killed him.

(Meaning in English) “then severed his aorta”. If you actually understand what the aorta is, you’d know that severing it would immediately cause the death. Now considering the time period between the revelation of this verse and the prophets passing, your claim would not make sense considering his aorta would’ve been severed years back as he was purportedly lying all his life about revelation according to you and your critic fellows. Now for the Hadith you provided, again it does not substantiate your claim as he would not have been able to speak about his aorta being severed if it was truly being severed since like I said above, the severing of it would immediately kill him.

Studies have shown two things, first that people in a warm surrounding mature faster, secondly that physical maturity was always coherent with mental maturity up until the 19. century where people started maturing mentally years after they reached physical adulthood, it wasn’t like this back then.
We have other narrations of Aisha ra. resting her chin on the prophets (saw) shoulder while they were both standing. The prophet was said to be of average height, you really think a little girl can rest her chin on a full grown men’s shoulder when they are both standing?

There are lots of factors that actually dispute our mother Aisha’s (ra) age. Some sources use 9, but others would indicate anywhere from 12-17. What’s a fact is that she was the youngest of all of his wives and the most knowledgeable and famous for her bravery and strength. The strongest source I could find is that all of Abu Bakr’s (ra) children were born before Risalah (Prophethood) and Fatima (ra) was roughly 5 years older than Aisha. If the marriage took place when the Prophet (saw) was ~51 and Aisha was born before the message started at age 40, then she would’ve had to be ~12 at marriage and 14-15 at consummation give or take a year which is consistent with puberty. We also have to realise that in those times ages were estimated rather than precisely tracked as well so there’s no way of telling for sure how old people were.
Those are my two cents. All I know is, we love and are proud of our mother Aisha and her honour is more important than any of us.

Before we delve deeper into the discussion on this topic, it is very important to bear in mind that Imam al-Bukhari wrote his Hadith compilation (a.k.a. Sahih al-Bukhari) around 200 years after the death of prophet Muhammad. Therefore, his compilation, like many other Hadith compilations, do not qualify as contemporary historical record of the life and times of prophet Muhammad.(Please continue to read my answer till the end for more details on Hadith compilation and debates around authenticity of Hadiths). There are no direct historical evidences to show that Aisha was a child of 6 years when she was married to Muhammad, and 9 years when her marriage was consummated.
Now, let’s get straight to the point. Here, I provide three arguments to show that the age of Aisha mentioned in aforementioned hadith is inconsistent with facts and logic, and thus, it fails the test of historical-critical analysis. In other words, the Prophet's marriage with under-age Aisha is nothing more than a myth.
a) Firstly, the Qur'an (primary source and contemporary historical record of the time of prophet Muhammad and of the earliest known formative period of Islam) does not mention anything about Aisha being a child or an “under-age” girl at the time of her marriage with Prophet Muhammad. The Quran indicates that there is an “age of marriage”(4:6) in principle, when both consenting partners are mature physically and mentally to enter into the legal contract (“covenant”) of marriage (4:21). There is no reason why Prophet Muhammad would go against such standards set in the Quran in case of his marriage with Aisha (irrespective of whether you believe that Quran is the Word of God or a product of Prophet’s unconscious mind or the collective unconscious).
b) Secondly, there is serious problem with the hadith of Aisha's under-age marriage with the Prophet, when subjected to historical-critical analysis. The problem starts with the fact that there was one narrator Hishām ibn ʿUrwa from whom this particular hadith originated. He narrated it when he was in Iraq, between the years 754 and 765 CE. Not only would this put the circulation of this report almost a century and a half after the events it purports to describe, but it would also mean that Hishām dropped this tale in the altogether different environment of Iraq, almost 1,000 miles away from the Arabian city of Medina (where the marriage would have taken place). Sketchy, isn't it? Due to this obvious reason, this particular hadith cannot be considered a reliable source of information about Aisha's marriage, by any stretch of imagination.
From this perspective, historian Dr. Joshua Little of University of Oxford has recently published a detailed in-depth research on the Hadith of Aisha's marital age, which has been further confirmed and supported by Dr. Javad T. Hashmi of University of Harvard. I would strongly recommend it for further reading on this topic.
Dr. Joshua Little explains that the Aisha's marital age reports are absent in the earliest Islamic sources, including in certain key biographical and legal works. Ibn Ishaq, Muhammad’s earliest known biographer, mentioned nothing about Aisha’s age at marriage(the detail was, however, added later by the historian Ibn Hisham). The marital age hadith is absent from the earliest Medinan legal collections, including Imam Malik’s al-Muwatta, even though the latter cites Hisham Ibn Urwa dozens of times (same narrator whom I mentioned earlier in my answer). To quote Joshua Little, “The failure of Malik to cite this hadith suggests not merely that Malik rejected it, but that it was not circulating in Medina at that time. This is especially given that the marital-age hadith has important legal ramifications, and thus would surely have demanded inclusion into a dedicated Madinan collection of Madinan legal Hadith.” Joshua Little further writes that, the earliest Maliki work to cite any version of the marital age hadith appeared “nearly three centuries after the hadith’s initial mass-dissemination in Iraq.” The news about early marriage of Aisha is absent from key early sources in Medina where the event would have taken place. Using this argument from silence, it can be concluded that “this was a story invented in eighth-century Iraq and only later back-projected onto the life story of Muhammad”.
c) The Third argument is that the idea of Aisha's underage marriage does not fit into the traditional Islamic chronology of events. Traditional Islamic sources, including the book of Imam Bukhari, tell us that Aisha was present in the Battle of Uhud. There is a narration reporting that Prophet's companion Anas said: “On the day of the battle of Uḥud when some people retreated and left the Prophet, I saw Aisha bint Abī Bakr and Umm Sulaym, with their robes tucked up so that the bangles around their ankles were visible hurrying with their water skins. Then they would pour the water in the mouths of the people, and return to fill the water skins again and came back again to pour water in the mouths of the people.” It is also known that the Battle of Uhud took place two years after the consummation of Aisha's marriage with the Prophet. If this is the case, and if Aisha was 9 when Prophet consummated the marriage, then it indicates a problem. An eleven-year-old girl would not be able to carry such heavy water skins and pour them into the mouths of the wounded, then refill them, and go back again in the battlefield. Furthermore, there is a narration that Ibn Umar did not receive permission from the Prophet to participate in the Battle of Uḥud because he was fourteen years old. If this is the case, then why would the Prophet have allowed a 11-year-old girl to accompany him in the battle? Either the hadith about Aisha's marital age is off, or the one about her being in the battle is. It is possible that both are wrong. Confusing much? That's my point. If Aisha was 9 years old when her marriage was consummated, then it creates confusion, contradiction and inconsistency even within the Hadith and Seerah literature.
Another contradiction arises when we consider the age of Aisha’s sister Asma. The twelfth-century Damascene scholar, historian and biographer Ibn ‘Asākir (d. 1176 CE) narrates in Tārīkh Dimashq through his route to Ibn Abī az-Zinād that Aisha's sister Asma was ten years older than Aisha. In addition, the medieval Persian scholar Abū Nuʿaym (d. 1038 CE) says in Maʿrifat aṣ-Ṣahābah that Asma passed away in the year 73 AH/ 692 CE at the age of one hundred. If this was the case, that would make her twenty-seven years old at the time of hijra, meaning Aisha would have been seventeen at the time of hijra. We know that Aisha was married two or three years before hijra. This indicates that, Aisha was fourteen or fifteen years old at the time of marriage and probably around seventeen or eighteen when the marriage was consummated. Is it possible that Ibn ‘Asākir and Abū Nuʿaym are wrong about Asma’s age and her year of death? Yes, of course it is possible. The reason I quoted them, is to further emphasize the point that Aisha's marital age hadith doesn't fit into the traditional Islamic chronology of events.
Another possibility that can be taken into account is the Meccan age tradition. This was the practice of counting age starting from puberty, and is something that would’ve been prevalent during that time - aligning with cultural norms from the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him’s time. Considering this tradition, Aisha's age at marriage might have been counted differently than what would today. I am just throwing this point out as something extra for you to think about.

So regarding the first one Sahih Bukhari 6:60:311, the Prophet had multiple wives and he would try to give each wife her fair share of his marital duty as their husband. Receive implying for sexual intercourse. Ayesha being the young virgin wife is referring to his other wives. And why wouldn't a wife who was young object to her husband treating her the same as his other wives who were widows and divorcees ?
Also there is the context of this Surah. If you read it, this Surah has a lot of verses regarding the wives of the Prophet. That is because it came after they had displeased him and tried to trick him because they believed in favouritism . So this was God admonishing them that the Prophet can receive whom he pleases and delay whom he wishes.
About this: Sahih Bukhari 3:48:823
. My friend, I don't see how you've taken this to mean ridicule or belittle. It merely tells a story of the Prophet being reminded of a verse by someone else reciting it.
If we make a science fair together and when I'm setting it up someone asks where the extension cable is and I saw "Oh, seems Smart Khan forgot it" I am not belittling you or even saying anything slightly negative. I'm just mentioning that you forgot something.
Same way, the hadith only mentions the Prophet having a slip of memory. We don't consider him to be supernatural incapable of mistakes. Take Sahih Bukhari Book 4, Number 1184:
"The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) led us in the 'Asr prayer and gave salutation after two rak'ahs. Dhu'l-Yadain (the possessor of long arms) stood up and said: Messenger of Allah, has the prayer been shortened or have you forgotten ? The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Nothing like this has happened (neither the prayer has been shortened nor have I forgotten). He (Dhu'l-Yadain) said: Messenger of Allah, something has definitely happened. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) turned towards people and said: Is Dhu'l-Yadain true (in his assertion) ? They said : Messenger of Allah, he is true. Then the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) completed the rest of the prayer. and then performed two prostrations while he was sitting after salutation."
So he was human and he made a mistake and offered 2. Then he corrected it. There is even direct admonishing of the Prophet in the Quran in Surah Abasa 80 first few verses. It's about Abdullah bin Umm Makhtum.
@Smart Khan As for the last part. The Prophet wasn't killed by the poison. He felt that it was still affecting him because he was human. As for the poison, it was not given by a muslim rather a disbeliever who said, "I gave you the poison because if you were truthful it would not affect you and if you were a liar I would rid the world of you"
And if you read the hadith, it says "I still feel the poison..." Sahih Bukhari 4428. Which shows he'd been feeling it for a long time but in the state of sickness, he was expressing it's severity as more.
Which is true, when you're sick your past injuries hurt more.
Now there is a lot of geopolitical analysis of what happened after the Prophet died. The dispute which led to their death wasn't started right after the Prophet died but came many years after at the time of the third caliph.
When the first caliph was selected, all Hazrat Ali said to him was "I feel you have hastened". So someone who was known as the gate of the city of knowledge wouldn't exactly say one thing before pledging allegiance to the caliph. He said that because the caliph was decided while Ali was still busy preparing the body of the Prophet for burial.
As for the family, Abu Bakr said it best, "By Allah, in Whose Hand is my life, the kinship of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) is dearer to me than the kinship of my own people." Sahih Muslim Book 32, Hadith 61.
Regarding the first Fitna, it was a difference in priority of the followers. And you can see why both had their logic. One group saying that we need to unify and then punish, the other saying we need to punish first because we can't unify without that. You can believe either was right as both were well educated and respected companions.
But it led to the first fitna and the civil war.

This is a proven scientific fact. So using today's kids as an example as getting the puberty earlier, proves AGAINST your weak excuse. All medical professionals would agree 99% she wasn't physically mature. Period. And in every other way, she was 9 YEARS OLD! If any of you have kids and have seen them at 9, you know very well that sex with a child of that age is NOT okay. Marrying a prepubescent would offers no reproductive advantage - even where life-spans are shorter - since, by definition, prepubescent girls can’t bear children.

I'm a Muslim and no, it doesn't made sense to me. Consumating a 9 yrs old at 1400 yrs ago even if it was normal at that time is simply wrong. A minor is a minor. As a Muslim I will simply exclude this hadith and believe in the others to remain a Muslim because defending this would make me a really sick person! It's ok to have a religion but it's not ok to loose your humanity, period.

It was a different world back then. Marrying children was OK. Marry had Jesus at about 15. Aisha slept with Muhammad at 9. But now in the 21st century we know it was wrong and we shud be ashamed of our ancestors just like we shud be ashamed of slavery and homophobia because that used to be a normal thing of every day life aswel. I'd like to add the fact that life circumstances were also different back then, including life expectancy.
I don't want to dish out the wrong information but I've read that the average life expectancy in prophet Muhammad's (SAW) time was around 35, far lower than that of today's time- averaging at around 70. The same can be said about times such as the Victorian era, where boys began attending universities at the age of 14/15.
Anyways, the point I'm trying to make is: back then, you had to do things earlier on in life because you've got to fit it all into your estimated life span- if you know you won't reach the age of 30, why would you get married after 20, knowing you'll both only spend a limited amount of time with your spouse, and not spend time with your children?

Was i even addressing Noah's time though? How can you compare 950 years with the 63 years the prophet lived. Anyways, I included the fact that i was on the fence about the life expectancy (of people in Muhammad SAW's time) and people have addressed this too.

On top of that, it states clearly states in the Qur'an (2:222, just in case you decide to actually look it up) that you should refrain from having sex if you or your wife is menstruating.
Also, Zaynab (Muhammad SAW's adopted son's wife) was a widow from her previous marriage to a man from Quraysh (a noble tribe). Muhammad SAW proposed the idea that she and his adopted son Zayd (who was a slave) should get married because he wanted to demonstrate that social class does not and should not matter to anyone- because it doesn't matter in the eyes of God. Later on, she and Zayd got divorced and then SHE proposed to Muhammad because she loved him. Eventually, they got married.
