    You are right it is a beautiful ride ..... especially through the windshield of that beautiful Peterbilt Orwell.
    The route you chose through Pennsylvania makes Trucking look like the greatest profession ever!

    Hello there Steve from the Uk, as a retired Fuel Tanker driver, I enjoy your trips around the US, great roads for covering long distances, I notice that, when you overtake any slower trucks, none of these slower trucks give a headlight flash to say your clear to pull back in lane, as in the Uk all trucks give the ok flash, which is always acknowledged by a flash of rear lights by the over taking truck, keep up the good work get some new strobes on Orwell’s roof if you update, Stay safe mate

    • @truthseeker2321
      @truthseeker2321 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      We do give a flash, us old school guys that is. The newer drivers here only care about themselves and don't pay much attention to anything around them.

    • @garyhamilton8534
      @garyhamilton8534 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The reason drivers don't flash there lights anymore is because drivers come on the CBS and cuss and raise hell for blinding them. I drove for 10 years and I stopped doing it early on in my ten years

    Great video Steve, I live about 20 miles further up 220 from where you made the turn onto 87 north there in Dushore(Towanda, PA). The guy that has those wreckers rusting, he also owns a Pete 359 wrecker, with 8 lug pattern wheels on the steer axle, a front lift axle on the back, & as far as I know, still does work.

  • @producerk8247
    @producerk8247 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Damn Steve, you in da cut. Way out in dem sticks.
    That's what vehicles do best here in PA... rust away. 😭 From the moment you buy it.
    Around my way, we have roads just like that all over, what we call the back roads. Full of up and downs, round this bend and that one, with a few rollercoaster hills too!

    That would be a good area to ride a bike thru. But so are large parts of Wisconsin, drop dead gorgeous. Wish you and Jen had the time to go on a road trip and take us along.

    Been watching more and more trucking youtube videos lately. You, This Guy Trucks, and then JoeyWhispers livestreams. Makes me almost want to do it.
    But then I remember that you have an expensive license to get and if you want to have autonomy you have to own your own truck and your own authority. My grandpas side has someone who does it. Has 4 or 5 different trailers in his lot.
    Don’t know what make or model he drives though because he usually doesn’t stop in with the rig when he comes to visit.

      @@TacticsTechniquesandProcedures It's been so long since I've seen an F model Mack or any Brockway truck that I can't remember. I seem to think that they were one in the same.

    • @truthseeker2321
      @truthseeker2321 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @TacticsTechniquesandProcedures I've been trucking since 1987, and I've seen more old Autocar and Diamond Rio tractors than Brockways. I'm talking 1950s and 60s Autocars and Diamond Rios.

    • @allan9603
      @allan9603 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@truthseeker2321 Of course before the Diamond Rios were the Diamond Ts, which merged with Diamond Rio in 1967.

    • @truthseeker2321
      @truthseeker2321 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@allan9603I didn't know they were two separate companies.
      There used to be a towing company in my hometown that had two large wreckers for trucks. One was a big long hood Autocar and the other was a a Diamond. The Autocar was from the late 60s and I think the Diamond was made in sometime around 1957 or '58.
      The company went out of business in the late 80s and they sold both trucks to someone who wanted to restore them. If I remember correctly, both of them had more than one gear shift. I used to hang around their garage when I was a kid, and climbed up in them before, but that's way before I started driving trucks and I didn't know much about them then.

      Did it also say Brockway across the grill as well ? I can barely see what I first thought was a grill guard but looks too small.
