A month ain't no big deal..let it stay there..if you're going to the effort of taking the stack off, you might as well be fixing it instead. Great video Steve! 👍👍
This is a good one for me, why I watch Steve - just delivering, driving, dealing, no need for chaos or calamity. The fueling, the highway and city is why i'm here. "Keep on Truckin'"
Hey man when you're stuck at these truck stops you can always have food delivered, you've got doordash, Uber eats, postmates. And many of the delivery services have designated drop off points for people traveling. That way you can just go online and find a restaurant you like and get something decent to eat, you also can order groceries things like that. Hey Steve, Leave the Stack on. It Looks Great and you will get it hooked up soon anyway. I Love the Way The Truck sounds, and the way you hit the gears is music to my ears. Last couple of videos it is amazing how many slow vehicles are hugging the middle lane. A motor home towing a Jeep, 4 wheelers and 18 wheelers. People no longer know that slower traffic keeps to the right. I love your videos and commentary.
Thanks for the upload Steve. In my opinion, it's not a "fake" stack, it's as real as it gets, it's just temporarily disconnected. I would just leave it, your gonna connect it back together again so I wouldn't bother, especially now that time is tight. I'm enjoying the new style you've adopted , keep up the good work and have a good day driver!
I despise Denver BUT!... if anyone is stuck in Denver West/Wheat Ridge for a 34, there's a joint just west of the truckstop on 44th (walking distance) called "Long Shots" awesome food and cold beer, neat little joint.
You have the apu, aint no reason to be eating out the truck stop, get a refrigerated cooler, small microwave or toaster oven and buy some groceries... have that hot wife put together some meals in Tupperware. You would save more money than that apu saves on fuel.
@@justing6720 Passenger seat... you also forget this truck most likely has a cabinet for a small crt television in one of the back corners above the bunk, a small microwave or toaster oven would fit it just fine. If all else fails a spot could be made in that headache rack, not convenient climbing the cat walk but a small price compared to eating out all the time.
Can you not get some of that adhesive sound proofing for you cab floor and a newer seat that's heated and cooled with a three point belt .A wee fridge and a microwave so you can have your own food wouldn't go a miss either. You work like a horse buddy you need to take care of yourself. Its great you sharing your travels across America with us all.Keep up the good work .
As another driver commented: there’s really enough room for fridge or microwave but also, on cabover, it has to tilt to access engine so neither would work well in those times.
Just keep it on til it's time to redo the exhaust. Yeah it's not hard to take the stack off, but the idea of it, plus storing it and possibly having it scratched up, just is not worth doing. Great video Steve!
Leave it on! Haters gona hate but it’s just a badass working truck getting some upgrades- what do they know? Great videos- definitely help pass some time on breaks.
Steve don't let anything or anyone stress you out or rush you just go at your own pace.. I know I'm a truck driver but I love your vedios I think you are absolutely awesome 👌 .
IMO, Orwell is now an icon. I think getting it working again the way to go. So I would leave the stack there, and reconnect it when you get the chance.
Glamis, CA is named after Glamis (pronounced Glarms) Castle in Scotland, where Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother (mother of our dear departed Queen Elizabeth II) was born and raised. The Castle dates back to 1372! Keep on truckin'!
Leave the stack until you reroute the exhaust. Working twin stacks is pretty cool. I was at an SAE show in Detroit in the’80’s and a fellow demonstrated a APU very similar to your green top. Can’t remember what he named it. It was a pretty heavy unit.
And earlier you were on some bumpy road and I noticed the passenger stock was wiggling more then the other. My initial thought was its going to vibrate loose maybe even tear some bolt attachments. Then You had to ask. Also Liking the more talking since your visit and advice from from the Gentry sons trucking I watch them as well. Keep on Keeping on

I've been enjoying your videos for a long time. As I waa watching your Denver video my wife heard you say you were taking advil. She has worked in medical for over 50yrs. She stated you should never take any pain reliever with anything but water or you risk getting an stomach ulser. keep trucking!!!
Great video Steve I'd leave the right stack on Orwell looks good with dual stacks. Really enjoy all your camera angles and your commentary stay safe Steve.
I live in Ridgway Colorado and have to go to Denver to see a few doctors at UC health every 6 months. I HATE going to Denver it’s gone down hill and has lots of crime and homeless. It’s a real shame!
Leave the right stack in place even though the coal is a no show. The ole 362 just wont be the same with it removed as it adds a certain flare and looks badass with both chrome pipes towering above the cab.
i try to stay at the pilot, downtown, it has a truck wash plus it was the company's fuel stop, during the day, parking isnt bad, at night, forget it, you're lucky to get in and out for fuel, but at least the company i drove for had a drop yard that you could stay in at night. Denver is like LA if you don't get there at a certain time, you're parking in the street, or if the shipper/reciever allows you, you can park overnight, but like Denver, we also had a drop yard in Ontario, east of LA.
Would be nice to see you teach new drivers a proper pre and post trip inspection and the importance of do them. I have watched in the terminal and at the truck stops and it's just not being done. Great videos steve
Leave the stacks,,,when you get the chance hook the other one up…it’ll run better….looks a lot better especially when smoke blows out both of them…..IMHO…🇺🇸👍
Yea, ran to Denver hauling refrigerated loads and I hated it , when they started expanding I-70 it got worse , they lost the other Blue Beacon they had as well as another truck stop . I’m glad I work local, it really has gotten bad in Denver.
Hearing you compare Denver and its expansion to where you are and where you've been is amusing because I've lived in the city suburbia all my life and think where you live is a vacation away from it all. We have a running joke here in Texas of Colorado is the clone Texas because it's so easy to get there from anywhere in this state and I can tell you Colorado is very popular with the suburbanites who like to go to the resorts and crawl Denver's beer scene.
Orwell sounds good, but I think you should hook the other other exhaust pipe up. It looks and sounds a lot better with both pipes working. I believe Tim Gentry would hook it up. Lol
Please connect the two stacks together even if only temporarily. A couple of joints and some flexible tubing will do. Make smoke on both , make Orville alive again!. Anyone else agree. ?.
I think you should leave it on and fix it when you have time to fix it.. taking it off would just add lots more work for you when you finally get to it.. so yeah I'd leave it on that's just my opinion.
Hey, Steve? If I recall correctly for your era of truck, heavy truck transmissions didn't have synchros for the manual transmissions the way light cars and trucks have. That's part of it. The other part is that the older transmissions in trucks like yours have whiny gearboxes because of the cut of the gear teeth being more square than modern gears, which are curved and spiraled even. Put it this way: If you've ever been in an old car, and backed up for any kind of distance, you would hear the same kind of whine from a differential, because of the way the differential gearing teeth are cut. Modern differentials don't have the same kind of square teeth older differentials have, which is why more modern drivelines, both transmissions and differentials, are quieter than older ones. A howl, by the way, that gets louder may be that a bearing is going bad, whether an input shaft, an output shaft, or an idler shaft. When you drain the transmission oil, make sure you don't have little sparklies in the oil, which would indicate something in the trans has worn past the point of needing replacement.
Well I say too put up the face stack and reset the stack so exost is coming out on both stacks it just looks cooler and is more cool too watch in the videos also love the loud engine in Orwell. And again put both stacks blowing the Awesome black smoke just looks cooler and is fun too see in your videos!!!!
