The whole time im thinking theres no way he can make apillow this easy. Then I look at the time and boom pillow. This channel is giving away so much free content its insane.
Glad you are enjoying the content... This was a fun one to create... and so easy
Holy crap you're creative! I would have never thought to do soft pillows in plasticity.
Thanks... Was a fun Build!
Wonderful and honest tutorials that explain how it should be explained, quickly and concisely.
Although I didn't come here to compliment... only that to subdivide a line now the command seems to be Shift + s. A salute to you Floyd and your cousin Grover, without you I would be more ignorant.
Glad it was helpful!
Floyd, you diabolical genius...
Thanks!
When I saw the thumbnail I thought for a second "Wait since when was there a physics simulator in this!?", it looks that good!
Thanks. Glad you like the results.
This is pure gold!
Glad you like it... be sure to watch more videos in the series!
Pure magic :) and seeing, just how good it works with organic shapes, make me think, how well this would work for characters, that are created out of splines (like in ancient tutorials, way before sculpting was a thing, f.e. that famous Joan of Arc tutorial). F.E. if you break down a leg, it´s shape can be defined by some circles/ovals and then lofted together.
I would buy Plasticity just to try that Joan of Arc tutorial out with it ^.^
I have it on my list to build a character but it would be much more work imo then Box modeling and SubD.
The furry creature is what makes me wanna watch this video
Floyd is a Handsome Devil :)
Ok we now need how to make organic shapes more than hard surface
Nurbs modeling was the original organic modeling method... so its very doable.
Fantastic
Thanks!
Very good idea.
Thanks
*YUM YUM* *what an era we live in that we can learn 3D modelling from a fur monster thing n he really calm n everything **_lmao_*
Great time to live :)
Witchcraft 🔥
Right? :)
cool
Thanks!
Absolutely WILD.
Glad you like it.
at 0:38 when I tried to get the arc curve to snap to the new mirrored curve... ugh, it really didn't want to do that. I had snapping enabled too. Also the outer edge of my lofted sheets, made the pipe kinda wavy. Weird. Think I'm gonna try again. Maybe tomorrow.
Keep us posted on your progress.
@@Pixelfondue Did it a second time. Still not great, but better. That point is still not wanting to automatically snap. Oh well, off to the next one.
Great exercise. Initially I failed to set the second curve on an axis. How do I align a curve with an axis after the fact, and/or align the mirror tool to an edge?
You could use the scale tool to flatten a curve
Oh this was unexpected indeed😮
cool!
Magic, you see it and you still don’t understand it 😅
It nice when things just "Work"
This was a tough one.
What made it tough for you?
Wow, a hard surface pillof for my face :D
comfy!
amigo cordial saludos, intente volver solido la almohada pero me fue imposible, ni con el loft ni el patch, como podria hacer esa misma almohada pero solida?
To make it solid the holes that are behind the buttons need to be patched.
How do you align an object to another object. For example centre align a rectangle to the centre of a sphere? Thanks
snapping... Hold ctrl key and you can snap. For a SPhere yuuou might need some temp lines to snap to. I work at oprigin so it makes it very easy to just snap to center that way.
When I try to join the mirrored parts, they will not join??
could be several reasons. have you tried adjusting the mirror handles to make sure the two parts intersect without gaps
Hi! Can you show how to taper / scale a face in just one axis? This doesnt seem to be possible atm? Scalin a face in one direction doesnt work.
You can move edges.. That might get you the results you are after
@@Pixelfondue Thank you. Would be nice to have a scale function on faces, just like with any 3d software. Maybe its coming. Do know if there is some discord server or some other forum where to see the dev progress and give some feedback? Btw great tutorials, been binging them all.
@@danq2656 There is the official Discord channel that you get a link to after you purchase the software. Its very active and the Dev is very engaged with the users.
@@Pixelfondue Thanks!
Hmm...Alt-1 did not work for me. I user the Rebuild option
They changed the SHortcut key to Shift+S
I can't get this thing to work. If on thing works something else doesn't. You use the expression ALT 1. I am using a Mac which does not have ALT.
I believe Alt on a Mac is option
option is not ALT on a mac. Short cuts that need the ALT key don't exist on a Mac.
@@drybrae macpaw.com/how-to/where-is-alt-key-mac
hello, i cant loft it
Why
@@Pixelfondue "Lofted body has self intersection in at least one of its geometries"
@@kacperszymonek1350 Maybe adjust the curves?
How to use Plasticity to model a pillow:
Step 1: DONT use Plasticity to model a pillow.
Step 2: open marvellous
For those that have MD... sure. For those that cant afford it... this is an option.
REALLY appreciate all these quick exercises. Gives me lots of opportunity to practice all kinds of features without a huge time investment. I am planning to follow along with one of your recent, longer videos though: th-cam.com/video/Drmn9JAVQCs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=687SHQJHRYHdhT6x
Happy to hear... enjoy!
BRAVO TO PARASOLID ..and Nick too. (Whoever Nick is. :D )
You're not too bad either Floyd! ;)
Thanks
