The driver was identified as Raslan Nurtdinov. According to his testimony he was "fighting for love" and on his way to meet a lady friend. He was sentenced to 15 days in jail. Luckily, nobody got seriously injured, but he did cause 6 million rubles ($100,000) worth of damage. He also had his license revoked.
I like how careful the driver was to avoid hitting any people and obstacles. It's like he was challenging himself to navigate to the exit with as little damage as possible.
All the security slipping and falling down, hanging onto the car like they think they can drag it to a stop, and even keeping up a foot chase after he gets away, really has the whole Keystone Cops vibe about it.
