Thank you for the video. You saved me the cost of buying the 12mm balls. The tuning barrel works great with riot balls. I found "1/2" Inch Delrin Plastic Ball Bearings" on Ebay & they work very well in a standard HDP50 (without tuning barrel). I tried them in in the HDR/TR50 but they are very tight in the rotary magazine. I did not fire them from the HDR/TR50. However, they are excellent in the standard HDP50 with the valve block removed (without tuning barrel) .
Whats the weight on the delrin balls you found? I have been looking at other materials ceramic being one of them but they just arent as cheap to possibly be tossing after using once for a video 😂
Yes to the bloopers. I gotta see that. PS - If you 'liked' the HDR, you wouldn't encounter any of these issues, plus you could use a variety of shaped projectiles and also make your own slugs using the 12mm BB's. The 50 cal is pretty cool, but the 68 is a beast!
I enjoy the quirkiness of the Hdp loading system. Gives me reason to keep testing so others dont have too. Not sure i will add an hdr68 just because of all the other 68cals i got but maybe an hdr50 since i do have a valve for that one now.
@@lesslethalfordummies Oh okay. So, it's more of a quirky project for you, rather than actually being used for CCLLSD? (only LL enthusiasts will appreciate and understand that acronym lol)
@@The_Viking_Highlander until i find the optimal projectiles and power the hdp isnt my first choice. They are not released into the wild until i am satisfied.
Good test my friend. Interesting video as always. I guess the 12,5mm will work better maybe 🤔. Keep up the good work. Greetings from your friend in Norway 😃👍
I havent tested the extension yet in my Hdps current configuration. I would expect both accuracy and power if running the extension. Although accuracy may not be as measurable in the distance we use these.
@@birdbangbobarunii am more referring to an 11j Hdr where it has both a co2 restrictor and a valve block. The 7.5j Hdp only has a valve block but many still refer to it as a double delete.
Hi Sean, did you ever get a chance to try out the 12.5mm steel balls you were expecting? I could not find the video. If so, did they perform as you expected in that tuning barrel? Happy new year!
Happy New Year’s to you too. I did test the 12.5mm in the tuning barrel and unfortunately didnt video it. They actually didnt perform as well as the 12.7mm. They did however cycle fine without jams. I have since polished my tuning barrel to better accept the 12.7mm balls. If i get a chance i can fire some 12.5mm through tomorrow. I have been working on something crazy for my Hdp50 compact. Hopefully i will be testing its bare chassis tomorrow.
Metal detents for Pepperball barrels? Lapco or Ansgear has them. John Wixon also sells printed ones now which work awesome and i use because the metal ones just never did well with Riot Balls.

Appreciate that. Florian says his steelies are 12.6mm which may be ideal its just shipping to this side of the planet is a deal breaker sometimes.
It's more accuracy when it comes to the barrel extension than fps when shooting .

@@lesslethalfordummieshey are you gonna make a vid with the carbine kit for the hdp
@@mariahriley27 i dont currently own any carbine kits to stick the Hdp in. I am on the look out for something cool tho.
Cool but not am not seeing thr full electronic taza one with the agession light test
?
Do you have a power valve installed with a power pin on that with the valve delete
I do not use the power kit. It has been shown over and over it does nothing to increase power. Tuning barrel and a double delete is all you need.
@@lesslethalfordummies besides the block removal what do you mean by double delete

what adaptor do I need so I can direct my 1300 tank to the co2 inlet
Mcs or Homedefence-24 sell the adapter that goes into the grip to accept a hpa bottle.
I also had a HDX .68 I one on TH-cam he has a direct hpa line connected to where 2 co2 catridge is
Try emailing Jonathon over at Critical Situations. He has the Hdx adapter and more.

Do you think 12mm balls would work with the stock barrel?
12mm will fall right through detent. I believe 12.3mm is the bare minimum to function properly.

@@lesslethalfordummies yes I know, been kind of following it on fb. Cant wait to see where you go with that.
Did you ever end up testing the 12.5 mm steel balls?
I didnt test on video as preliminaries turned up less fps but the did cycle fine. I will give them another shot when i load up the newest detent.
Where did you get the chronograph from
This XRadar was purchased at a local paintball shop.
Hey bud where you get the metal detents

How can í get one I'm from south Africa
I have seen a few distributors in South Africa in the groups. Best to do a search and you should find a couple.
So how can I get one sir
@ByranJacobs-io7yt i do not sell markers. Try youtube.com/@reaperairdefence932
Its the only one i can think of off the top of my head in South Africa.
Look for someone with a website who sells them
@bingbangbobaruni If you must have you can find genuine Homedefence-24 at Mcs and directly from Homedefence -24 website.
Do you know if the tuning barrel fits on the HDP50 compact?
There currently is no option of tuning barrel for the Hdp Compact. Drop Florian at Homedefence-24 they might have something in the works.
Will it accept 16g co2’s?
Not through the grip bit the appropriate adapter they could be on introduced through the rear.
