      But it kinda brought down my FPS by like 5-10 frames sadly

    • @TheArtmann
      @TheArtmann  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I'm glad it helped you:) And the 5-10 FPS is the price you pay if you disable Turbo Boost. At me also, while rendering with Turbo disabled was like 30min longer. It all goes down at your preferences I guess. What you want more FPS or cooler laptop

    • @omarmangudo3232
      @omarmangudo3232 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Well disabling turbo boost is like downgrading the I7 to an entry level CPU. Thing is not all of the games / soft make use of it so you have the valid option.

      @@omarmangudo3232 Like, I said.. it's all about preference. You want a cool laptop then u have to sacrifice some power. What I've shown is a "best case scenario" of how cool your laptop can get

    ive had this laptop for about 6 years now and im finally gonna clean and re paste it because the fans are very dirty and its getting to higher temps while gaming. with low settings its fine..but sometimes i wanna turn up...but it quickly goes from 73c to 90c i feel like i got very lucky because ive heard of these laptops becoming TOO hot and thankfully mine has always been a great performer but its time to take care of my baby i got the gtx1060 model and its still handles all games very well just not maxed settings. cool video thanks. this laptop should be about 600 dollars by now but its still over 1000 on amazon its so pathetic. i can buy a laptop with the same amount of money for this one with one that has a gtx 3060 in it. when i bought this one those ones didnt exist or i would have bought one with a 3060

    I did every thing & used every app until I figured out the problem at least for me. I found the problem & it can be fixed without apps or messing with OS settings.
    If the PC doesn't have a faulty hardware then the stuttering caused by the CPU overheating. I thought the 100% CPU usage is the problem but it's not! being 100% is really normal. So go & enhance the CPU cooling system or moderate the CPU turbo! Yes the CPU turbo is the problem & it's really sad that Microsoft or Intel didn't provide setting for that to limit the turbo ratio in case it's making CPU overheating for those playing on laptops, compact pre built PCs or a PC with limited budget cooling system!
    Easy steps I hope it fixes your stuttering problem by benefiting from the CPU turbo without hitting the maximum temperature or disabling the CPU turbo(stepping frequancy):
    1- This step is optional but it's good for minimizing the CPU latency. go boot to the PC BIOS then advanced setting & make C Status disabled. then save changes & exit.
    2- Boot to Windows & go to the graphic card control panel reset it to default then set the global setting to high performance. no need to costumize performance for games or apps
    3- Go to "Power Plan" then choose the factory "Balanced" plan & reset it to default. keep the plan on "Balanced" & don't change any thing except you can change when the screen or computer to sleep or turn off.
    4- this one is wierd! to make use of the "Balanced" plan go to Desktop then the task bar & click on the Power/Battery icon. then put the slider of the power mode to the center "Better Performance"
    that's it

    some laptops you dont have to set the core cache as the same value as some people say. core cache is what makes the computer crash. i get max temp of about 65°C on turbo boost. in throttlestop you can also set the maximum frequency for your cpu to run at so for example my cpu can turbo boost up to 4.5ghz but ive set the limit to 3.2ghz that way temps wont go as high as they would if it was 4.5ghz

      Yes, you limit the performance, but you cool down the laptop. You can't have them both - a cool laptop and best performance with such an old device. At one opin you have to decide what's more important... and for me it's a cool laptop!

    Disabling Turbo and showing the results making fool of people. By disabling turbo your laptop wont cross your base clock which is when laptop is not connected to an AC supply. What's the point of purchasing a high budget gaming laptop when all you wanna do is reduce its performance by more than 50%. Just a misleading video. try to clean your fans too, the thermal paste he applied will not cover your whole processor as you can try, you have to press heat sink really hard to make it spread on the whole processor instead of it try to spread it with a tool which comes with a thermal paste then put your heat sink. And please dont disable your turbo instead readuce its clock speed little by little to get a stable result, in my opinion in between of 3.4 to 3.6 MHz will work if your Cpu turbo speed is 4 MHZ.
