- First of all, please forgive any little errors I will have made (ID mistakes, calling something by the wrong name even though I know the right one), pronunciations etc. I filmed all this off the cuff, just saying what I was doing, where I was at the time, and what I had just seen. Over time these vlogs will hopefully get sharper and tighter as I learn from my mistakes. Overall I am still very happy with getting as much footage as this, across 5 different cameras, multiple formats, and trying to actually have a holiday alongside it all.
Thoroughly engaging and professional presentation. well done.
Cheers. Happy with my first long form video. Few things I could work on for the next. I reckon throwing in more pics and video would be nice over the longer talking bits.
Absolutely loved this
Too kind
Birding in the city, pretty cool good looking birds. Cool video
Yes they are!
Really enjoyable watch so far - thank you. Looking forward to watching the rest over the course of my day/week - currently half an hour in. Very simple, relatable style and lots of fascinating things to see - not just the birds!
Appreciate it. Yeah wondering how much other stuff people would want to see, not just the birds. Trying to be strict and keep it about birds or the videos could get crazy long if you add in the travel, eating, historical stuff, tips & tricks etc.
What a superb effort mate. A feature length film put together all with your own footage and editing skills. Brilliant.
Thank you 🙏. Enjoyed it. Gives me another thing to do while travelling. Helps you notice things you would normally not see as an ordinary traveller.
I enjoyed it too mate. Very nice to see things I'll probably not get to see or do. I especially liked the night herons and white throated kingfishers.
so very cool Justin!! Wouldn’t have thought that in the heart of the city there would be so many different species!!
Thank you. In 4 years of doing this in the UK and several other countries, I’ve gotten good at finding things.
As a. former resident and birder in HK I enjoyed your vlog. Your first shot of Spoonbills includes both Eurasian and Black-faced Spoonbills. The Eurasian is the tallest bird in the middle, with the least black on the face.
Thanks. Yeah the guide did point that out, otherwise I might have assumed it was a juvenile or winter/summer plumage deal.
Hi. Just subscribed love your videos. How do you deal with r7 rolling shutter. Best regards from James in Scotland.
I'm afraid not much you can do about it, except using it on subjects that aren't moving very fast, or have clean backgrounds (so you don't see the background distorted).

it's fork-tailed sunbird male and female, guess you know it already
Only just realised I forgot to put the name over the image. DOH!! 😂😂
