I feel so blessed that there were songs like this playing on the radio when I was young. Musically it really was a wonderful time in the world and I just don't seem to hear this quality anymore.
The twentieth century brought the best music ever to the public. Now the music industry has been turned against the people, especially the youth of today. War mongering billionaires with huge bank accounts and even larger ego's, are putting society down by channeling evil, noxious, trash, into the heads of our children. Good music has the power to sway people towards better things. The public should exercise good judgement and demand an end to this modern garbage being force-fed to our youth! If you believe I am over-reacting, look around and see what's going on in your country and in the rest of the world! It's in a downward spiral. A return to decent, and uplifting music, would help reverse this trend towards mass chaos!
Truly one of the most beautiful love songs every written. Your right Gracie, they don't write them like this anymore. I LOVED your reactions. Another fantastic Bread song is 'Everything I Own'. Take care, RNB
There's not a female human that doesn't end up with the same expression on her face the first time they hear this! Subsequent hearings is were the tears come. It's a heart opening song, not a heart breaker. For that you want Aubry, or Diary. David Gates is a wonderful poet.❤
What a delight, to see you get so sweet about those lovely words . I'm glad you played it twice and would have listened to it a dozen times. My head was filled with images as he sang, but the best was the last verse. If the world comes to its end and winds down to a stop, we'll watch the stars go out one by one and then , hand in hand, we'll simply fly away ! That is such a beautiful image ! The sound you hear in the background is, I believe, an electronic synthesizer.
New subscriber! One of the most beautiful love songs of all time! The only negative is that it's way too short. Great reaction! I hope you will also react to "Diary" by Bread.
I love it!! I grew up with Bread's music and this one was my #1. Thanks so much for the second play too! Subscribed AND liked!! More love songs PLEASE!!😅
Yes, you are a Lady, Gracie. Through and through. There was no "booty shakin love" songs in my day. Lol! It was pure, heart-felt love and respect in the music that I grew up with. Ok, there WAS a lot of "booty shakin" music too... but you get me, right? Lol.
You are so adorable! I loved your reaction, I also want to add that I have that fan behind you in my house running right now. I need a fan blowing in every room summer or winter, I need the noise.
@@GracieReacts Yes, I just need the noise, I have not slept well since I was a child. The noise helps me sleep a couple of hours. Thank you for responding, most do not.
They got the name, so they said "A bread truck came along right at the time we were trying to think of a name for the band, we had been saying, how about bush, telephone pole? Ah, bread truck, bread, It began with a B, like the Beatles and the Bee Gees". The Beatles were originally called The Quarymen, they changed it to Silver Beatles then Beatles. Beat as is the beat of the music,,,,and what do you mean you`d fall in love, thought you already loved me being your longest running fan, Humpfffff
The effect you were asking about is a keyboard synthesiser or electric guitar pedal whuch adds the effect when turned on, it is a tremolo that makes it sound like it's in water or something, which sustains the note with a shaky sound. Yes it is beautiful used just right. I find a lot of modern music and everyday speech to be very disrespectful, deceitful or too brutally honest, which does not give me the urge to hear more of it.
I've been a David Gates fan since the early 70's. This is the good stuff right here. How could you *not* love this song? You'd have to be emotionally dead.
Hi Gracie, New subscriber from Down Under! Just want to say I love your channel and I think your adorable! This is one of my favourite groups from the seventies! My favourite song of theirs is Diary! It’s beautiful! Also my grand daughter’s name is Grace and she’s seven! We sometimes call her Gracie! Thanks again! Peace and Blessings and Merry Christmas to you and your family from Australia.
Love this song. Love your reaction. You are SO CUTE and just gorgeous. What an incredible smile! I'll sing this to you! 🙂

Make it with you, another classic Bread love song
Thanks for playing it twice.
The Group Bread got their name when they got Caught behind a Wonder Bread truck in traffic 😁
That's hilarious ! I love it. Thanks for telling me .
The Beetles got their name when Ringo saw a beetle and said "oh look Paul. Its a beetle".
Well put. Yeah David nailed it. It would be tough to top that.
There is the bread of life. There is the communal breaking of bread to share. Biblical overtones. Strong name.

Today's music just plain sucks. This is so damn romantic. David Gates was a gifted writer.
