Running calls with Station 74

- Ride along with Fire and EMS units on an average day. Nothing too exciting but a good example of a typical day in the life of this firehouse. On this day the fire station responded to 8 calls for service. 2 were Fire calls and 6 were Medical calls. Of the 6 EMS calls 2 required no service, 2 were low priority transports and 2 were high priority transports. 5 of the calls are documented in this video.

Liked the way you guys kept changing the siren tones at intersections, keeps other drivers from vetting used to one and then " toning it out " .

i’m an emt student and one thing i learned earlier that was very interesting that i didn’t know at first is the fd runs more medical calls than fire calls

@@jayasmrmore3687 firefighters are also EMT’s so they go to many medical calls along with EMS
I hate when cars don’t stop and move over to allow room for Emergency Vehicles

greg wilkie Thanks for watching Greg! I could have the camera inside but that creates more editing challenges due to audio and I also have come to prefer the elevated view from outside.
3:07 Actually, industrial dust is a huge fire hazard. The CSB did an investigation into a massive fire after it was caused by the igntion of dust from the manufacturing process for steel.

The Tornado Siren is usually when a volunteer fire dept gets a call so they notify members like that if their radios are not with them.
Apparently, it is a rainy night and with it so dark we can't see how bad the sky is.

Liked the video but almost seems like you guys need another station in that town. Seems like you’re traveling way to far for calls. Especially the second call you showed. The time it took to get there was time that could’ve been used in the event that it was needed. Other than that great video
