  • Ride along with the firefighters from Delmar as they respond to a MVC involving a school bus on the Delaware side during the day. Then after the sun goes down it's back-to-back police action calls on the Maryland side.
    First up Paramedic A-74, B-74, Rescue 74 and Traffic Control 74 roll out to vehicle collision involving a car and a school bus. There are two video segments, one from A-74 and one aboard the heavy rescue truck. Thankfully there were no injuries and units cleared the scene.
    All was quiet until the sun went down, then the action started up again. The third segment shows Paramedic A-74 and Utility 74-8 responding basically across the street to assist the police with an unknown medical emergency. The patient did not require EMS transport and units return to the fire station for a very brief time, literally just minutes, before yet another police related call comes in.
    The forth segment is Paramedic A-74 responding to meet Maryland State Police and assess a patient.

    And that is exactly why you're supposed to slow down at red lights.
    Just like you did, of course.

    Wow , gotta give a thumbs up to a majority of the drivers around there yielding the right of way immediately to all emergency vehicles. Hardly any of them do that here

      Glad others see that. On other videos I've watched, people would complain about that car.

    @1:45 cemetary on the left. Are US cemetaries often that open?

    • @SpeedbirdFF

      Chris Smeets Yes, quite a few are

      Interesting. Cemetaries in the Netherlands, and also the ones I have seen in countries close around, are usually fenced (or bushed) off.
      Only exception to that that I know of, are maybe some war graves.

      Chris Smeets usually in smaller towns like this one they arent blocked off sometimes if there is enough money they will be fenced or bushed for aesthetic

    What is a police action call?

    • @SpeedbirdFF
      @SpeedbirdFF  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Oxfiregamer Police Action in our area is a general term referring to a number of types of incidents requiring Fire/EMS response. Most commonly these include overdose, psychiatric patients, patients injured during police interaction, suicidal subjects, assault from fights, sexual assault and subjects that have been tased or maced. Sometimes we are dispatched for a specific situation and sometimes we are dispatched for a general or unknown situation where "police action" is the nature.
