I'm a 25 year old INFP. Got a career in a field I wasn't entirely interested in for job and economic stability, but I didn't regret it in the end. The process was hard and discouraging for awhile. It was the first big thing I did out of my comfort zone to find what I wanted to do and made me realize that as long as I feel like I'm good/useful at what I'm doing (make Te happy I guess?), I can be satisfied doing nearly anything. I'm happy at my job, I make enough to keep myself safe and satisfied with great benefits. It's the "late bloomer" and "slow learner" parts about exploration that I found I hate, not the actual things I would learn. I could become great at something, but the world doesn't wait and give the time and opportunity. While it's true the world waits for no one, I learned this early in my life as an INFP. I just need to find an outlet where intense diligence and taking your time is rewarded instead of frowned upon, but I've yet to discover such an avenue for now. I think if I did and got good at it, I'd feel like people would respect me for having a talent or a skill. But I'm also seeing a pattern of doing things to impress people and caring too much what they think. I've stopped contact with my Ti friend group temporarily to discover just what I REALLY want to do; not letting my Te inferior get the best of me, retraining my Ni critic, unwarping the Ti demon into a Ti angel, and figuring out a way to be happy, despite the opinions of others about how I live my life. The journey continues.

I would advise high school graduating INFPs not to make big decisions career wise early on, because the minimal experience we have, that Chase pointed out, can really lead to bad decisions and we're then stuck with the repercussions. We're not Ni. We'll change our minds the more experience we get. We go for a degree we think is good for us, but after six months we realize we don't want that anymore, and we're stuck because we put so much money into that. The dead end job is a great idea. I would advise making light decisions that can be dropped easily and that give room to explore life in general, so we can come to a better understanding of the type of future for ourselves we should be working towards.

These are quite good advice, it is worth adding that I am an INFP and I was in about 13 jobs and I am in my 30s. Rober Greens was more than in 50 jobs (or maybe i did understood somethink wrong)! Before he found "himself", he found his calling at the age of 36 when he wrote 48 laws of power. Remember that INFPs are called "late bloomers". We must gather our private philosophy together with our experiences. Incidentally, the young infp is a failure in eyes of sociaty, because he is probably the most lost type that exists, hence INFP, in my opinion, needs as much help as possible, to then give the world the wisdom from which it can then build a better tomorrow. INFP is really a specific type and so much depends on us, so we mature rather later if ever :D.
Greetings and thanks for any advice.

If he started gaining life experience and exposure therapy I think he would never get out of it as an INFP and spend the rest of his life changing jobs, majors, cities... And eventually waste his potential, pick ONE thing with a deep why to it, even if you have to create it, remind yourself constantly of it, stick to it, be creative with it, just stick to something for once INFPs.

I disagree because I think INFPs are too judgemental with Fi Hero to continue to be in exploration mode for our whole lives. Our default is to rank and judge what is good and bad decisions so it is naturally very hard to try a bunch of different experiences all willy nilly. But when we get more experience from forcing ourselves to try new things then we will eventually get back to our more comfortable habit of criticizing our decisions and with that previous experience it will be much easier for us to choose the least bad path (In my opinion as an INFP I never actually know what I want I just weed out the things I know I don't want until I have just one action left and that is the one decision that I don't want the least).

@@ammar9279 Hah, i can only speak for myself and please keep in mind that i am not skilled in this whole typing thing ('Your Ni critic is triggered.' I understand the gist of it, but i don't truly understand it. As cs joseph stated a few times about the infp.. i am intelectual lazy.. guilty as charged.. Using these types of videos or any other self-help as a guide for whenever i feel lost in life again)
Anyway, as a kid i liked it, i think that i liked it because it was 'all i got'. Being socially awkward and bit of a loner, made my pc hooked up to the internet a safe way to 'explore' the world and it did taught me a lot.
Now after working for over a decade at the same office. i don't love it anymore, there is no passion in it and upkeeping my skillset is hard to do these days. But i do know it's possible, sometimes when i really get into it, i am able to 'lose' myself and truly focus at my task, it's just.. now i feel that i am at a disadvantage. I think i am a natural born psychologist, seeing/reading/understanding people quite easily. This applies for animals to, i enjoy observing them and thinking about what they are thinking, what's going on in their little minds.
But my colleagues however are more naturally talented in logical thinking then i am. Really feeling like fish out of the water. This in turn, makes me often feel very dumb compared to my fellow coders. I don't pick it up as fast as they do and etc etc.. Going every day to your work and feeling dumb because of it, was a little hell for me, still is actually. It's a miracle i'm still doing it, but to be honest i am now afraid of change.. which i shouldn't be... working on it..
Now, work is just work and i do it because i must. I don't want to be homeless and i want to be free, money can provide me that. Hmm.. it only provides me that when i'm on holidays. SO i guess i am sad sad old man.. haha ;)
      add on:
I guess i miss purpose. My job doesn't give me any purpose. I just make money for the boss.
I don't save anything, i don't help anyone. It's an empty existence if you ask me.

On the day trading specifically…if it makes the priority cut organically…INFPs pair up w/a youngish ENTP CFP and recommend funds to create portfolios to them, while in a marketing/sales position. I think gaining more life experience and exposure, will benefit anyone, irregardless of type. I am Ni hero, and I'm still not fully sure what I want to do after school, simply because I dont know what it means to do specific things or how exactly you would do them.
I dont know about everything that's involved in doing any particular job, and I dont know how to do very many things myself, thus I dont not fully know what I really want go pursue. Yes I have ideas of the very general direction that I'd like to go, or rather more accurately, the endpoint I'd like to reach, based on by Ni hero interests but I have no idea how to get there, and have Ne doubts about whether the paths I'm looking at will even lead me to where I think it will or if I'll even enjoy the path I take.
I know the best thing to do is to just get out there and just do things, and see where life takes you, but with Se inferior I'm really struggling to do that. This video is helpful tho. I think exposing yourself to more experiences benefits everyone, Se users included, because then at least you can see how things are done by those around you so you know how you can do what you want to do, yourself.

Like i think that this infp is not really stuck in his "comfort zone". It is more like he is surrounded by stupid people aka his/her parents coz if that person is a infp then that person already knows what they want they just dont know how to get there. Infp or ixxp in general are lazy af so they want easy money with the least amounts of effort. Perfect work for them is where they have no boss and they can expiriance freedom, they are not forced to do things kinda job. Infps most of the time they want to expiriance a intence personal connection with a one person out of the time aka love. In order to get a strong bond they need to be usefull to people if they make a lot of moeny then they are usefull. Then conclusions infps intrests are not monetizable or are not easy to monetise, it is easier for them to do highly valued things even if they will hate themselfs at the end of a day and one day they can have their hobby as a hobby.
