    How much power does each Radeon VII pull? Sorry if I missed it.

      Since i have them running more efficiently, they draw between 240 - 280W.

    3:00 by the noice coming from the rigs there are a couple fans you need to replace with noctua fans to shut them up ^^

    Did u have to up your power? Sadly I cannot at my apartment, it is not permitted and I’m limited to less than 10 3080s, then circuit breaker trips

    • @ReverendMantis
      @ReverendMantis  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I ran each miner to a separate outlet and breaker to split the load - my apt is rated for about 80amps total and they are not individually monitored. Plenty of power for what I'm doing. The tricky part was finding an outlet/circuit rated for at least 20amps or higher - most are 15. Two of my three runs are from the kitchen - there are 2 high amp outlets for appliances in there (much safer). I also don't pay for electricity here.

    huh?? why r u not paying any electric bill? 🤔

    Really nice rig. Any updates since last year? You should be at a profit now right, especially after the last few months. The cards should've paid for themselves, but how much did all of your other equipment cost? Hope you're in the positives. Best wishes.

      Thanks! Honestly, it pains me to say that i recently sold everything. Running them in an apartment is a bit risky due to power concerns. I sold 3 of the 4 VII's for nearly $200 more than i paid for them new and kept 1 for personal (free VII out of the deal = not bad). I used what i earned mining to start trading / investing. Overall, everything has paid for itself many times over. Most of my other equipment was already there, i work in IT and have always had a crazy setup going.

    What Is wattage usage of those 3 mining rig ......

  • @arturasnesakysiu1684

    Hmm setup looks cool, but you whaisting energy and money on motherboards which support more gpus in on motherboard your using only third of that

    • @ReverendMantis
      @ReverendMantis  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trust me, I tried to think of a way to utilize the slots - nothing was feasible. But you also have to realize, I paid about $50 for those motherboards brand new. Also, I do not pay for electricity in my apartment (as stated in the video).

    you mining ? would you use server cases still?

    • @ReverendMantis
      @ReverendMantis  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mainly used a server rack setup due to space constraints in my apartment (plus i like the way racks look). The con, is cooling and airflow (even with industrial fans). I live in the northern us close to canada, so it's easy for me to just crack a window during the winter. Summer however, is a different story - even up here. If you have the room, I think open air setups would give you better cooling and access to the gpus - plus they are way cheaper (at least back when i started). I don't mine eth anymore. GPUs wont be as profitable anymore once 2.0 drops anyway. I sold most of my gear and built servers for running nodes instead - same rack, different cases.

    • @alexzan1858
      @alexzan1858 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ReverendMantis ok cool thanks for telling, I would have thought server cases run cooler than open air tbh

    • @ReverendMantis
      @ReverendMantis  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alexzan1858 No prob. I think they can be efficient, but extra intake cooling is key (like AC fans or an extra box fan). Air conditioning if possible.

    I think Vega 56 x2 = 1 Radeon 7

    • @ReverendMantis
      @ReverendMantis  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      More like x3. I've pushed them to 98Mh/s each - i think more is possible. They just run too hot and draw lots more power.
