    *Honorable Mentions*
    - 5600/5700 GPUs are great for Ethash but don't perform too well in other algorithms.
    - Radeon VIIs have always been my favorite but hard to put them here due to how scarce they are and they don't perform that well in other algorithms
    - Vega cards are great for Ethash but don't perform well in other algorithms
    *Notes:*
    - Even though this is a top 5, nothing beats a good deal that ROIs fast. So if you find a good deal that isn't a top 5 then it might be worth considering.
    - I messed up the MH/Dollar - supposed to have a MH, not a dollar sign. The Higher the better - Fixed on the website.
    - RTX 2080TI hashrate was not accurate, updated thanks to someone in the comments!

I have 6 RX Vega 64s and they all can hit 197 Mh/s on Ergo / Autolykos.
That's heaps more profitable than Eth atm.
Also they are half the price of a scalped 3060 with no hashrate limiter so no issues getting it to 50 Mh/s on Eth and almost double the Autolykos hashrate.
Vega 56s can also get similar performance with a little more tinkering.
They definitely should of been included in this list.

If your in a rush, here is the short answer however, keep in mind that the MH/s here is using the ETH algo. see the full video to understand the rankings and why each card/gpu is priced on what it is. It's very useful and isn't too long to listen.
    #5 GTX 1660 ti/super: 90 watts @ 30.8 MH/s| $2 /day | cost: $250-$500
    #4 RTX 2080 ti/super: 180 watts @ 58 MH/s | $3.76 /day | cost: $1k-$1.5k
    #3 RTX 3080: 230 watts @ 98 MH/s | $6.36 /day | cost: $700-$2.2k
    #2 AMD RX 6800: 128 watts @ 62 MH/s | $4.11 /day | cost: $580-$1.4k
    #1 RTX 3070: 125 watts @ 61 MH/s | $4.04 /day | cost: $500-$1.5k (Future proof: better hashrate CFX/RVN)
    #1 RTX 3060 Ti: 125 watts @ 61 MH/s | $4.04 /day | cost: $400-$1.5k (decent hashrate when using ETH/ERGO)

Literally $/MH and W/MH are the only requirements to look at.
Also, not overclocking/undervolting and keeping the room COLD and the air flow very good will keep a GPU running near infinitely.
I'm an old school Colo guy. There are heavily stressed machines I have that are 8 years old and ruining strong. The key is eliminate the heat more than you think you have to, keep the room at 50F/10C. Have high ceilings and high volume, low RPM air flow up into the ceiling. Add vents at the top of the ceiling, or setup serious heat exchangers and scavenge the heat to recharge your UPS.
The only thing Thai could fail is the fans on the GPUs, so monitor those and turn them off if the fan comes down lower than 80%.
Second thing is moisture. Make the air DRY.
Third thing is power stability. Don't draw more than 80% on any circuit, run over sized cable, have 24 HR UPS systems that can balance power for you if the source starts getting even a little brown. In addition, get highly efficient PSUs, platinum or better. They are worth the money medium and long term. And wire them wirth over sized cabling.
If you're crazy, and you know something about power supply electronics, use high voltage DC and DC/DC converters from a dedicated plant sized PDU.

Got rid of all my 6700xts and end up with a XFX 6800xt merc as my gaming rig/mining on the side, a MSI gaming X trio 3070 non LHR and a Inno3d 3060. looking to expand on 3070s if possible.

RX 570/580 should be in the top 5 list, it is the holy grail of mining gpu, miners won't find any gpu that can do 30 mhs at that cheap price !

Now they cost as much as 1660 tis so it's better to go with them due to more future proof. I mention it in the honorable mentions

Oh, I can mine Ergo with my 4GB RX 560? Sweet.
It's not a really powerful card but I might as well give it a shot.
Depending how things go, my friends and I might build a 3070 rig for some of those other coins.

I just started mining about a week ago. I am using windows PC's. I just ordered a 2nd RX 580, both for about $760.00 each, I may be crazy. I started with ETH and got it up to 30-31 MH (thanks to your videos). But now decided to go with RVN. I am getting 11.5 MH right now but my temps are over 73 degrees. Can some one tell me if this is too Hot?

Currently in the research phase, your information is super helpful and I am enjoying researching. That said, why does LHR not Matter for alt coins? Are they not all based on hash rates?

Surprised Radeon Vii 16GB isnt even in top5, i reckon they are scarce, but that's for sure because no one is willing to sell it, and let go of the profits :) doing 100mh/s for only ~ 185watt isnt too bad

  • @D8361-

My 6800 (non xt) has power consumption around 155-160w@60 mh. I measure from wall with only psu and the card connected. And I tried flash bios, it reduced to 142-150 on ETH, and I had stability issue after flashing. The reports on amd software, gpuz, and hwinfo are only 105-120w, which is way off from the power meter from the wall. It draws more power if doing kawpow. Doing bios flash could damage your card.

Don't get me wrong, anyone can make their money how they wish. They can resell and profit from it it's no problem, I just dislike it due to me being biased against it. If I have to sell my gpus I'll sell at that price too ;) so nothing serious

Btw for the 6800 I run 3 of them ( first Msi tiro second Asus Tuf and the third AMD OEM oem ) at (MSI Trio) 108w
    (Asus Tuf ) 120w and (AMD OEM ) 123w all running at @ 63mh.
    More efficient than the 3060ti
I did More power tool and the the mv on the core @ 700mv instead of 800mv.
    Saves alot more power :)

TXS for your video Keep up! .... From my exp. you are absolutely correct!!! 3070 is King, 3060ti very close, However with current crazy prices at 1300/1500 USD for a 3070, . GTX's 1660 super at around 500-520 USD are looking extremely attractive since the MH rate of 2 / 1660 supper is quite close to one 3070. Also for next video please include bitcoin/usd rate it will give people better price context when they watch this video three months from now, or next year ...
