I wonder how much smaller it can get - after we've seen all kinds of "bikes" going from A to B obviously not 100% suitable for the job at hand just to make an already adventurous trip even harder than it already is. Glad you made it. Stay safe.
I see your Puch is an E50 single speed. I have a Puch Newport II ZA50. It is much better when climbing hills loaded down. If it upshifts, just back off the throttle and it will downshift back into first gear, giving you a lot more pulling power. Love your videos.
Yes a ZA50 is more convenient when going uphill, however those engines are far more prone to damages, either clutches or the gearing easily gets damaged, so the E50 is a lot "safer" bet
I'm watching video's of motorcycle adventurers in places like South america and Africa and a lot of the local people are riding Chinese 125/150cc 4cylinder bikes that is what I would choose only because you would be able to find parts. I like the fact you picked a bike you want to try that makes is more exciting.
I really hope you buy Honda CT125 or anything 125cc bike , and make video long adventure ride like this one... this will encourage other small cc bike owner to ride and have fun, no need overpriced big bike to ride and enjoy the journey...

Hello sir I travelled my home country Hungary I went through every road on my simson s50n 1978 these are super motorbikes ! I went about 13 thousand kilometer touring and a lot more just going around
I miss my Maxi to this day. It was great transportation for the teenage version of me. I never understood why all the models didn’t have oil injection or a 1 gallon tank. They really missed a chance there.
I have had a lot of mopeds over the past 4 decades. The only two that came with oil injection were a 2003 Tomos ST, and 2005 Tomos ST, both bought new. When I bought the 2003, the oil injection failed on the way home from the dealer, and the engine seized. It was fixed under warranty. When I got it home I looked it over, and discovered the oil injection system was an absolute nightmare. It used fish tank lines, which were all kinked up behind the left engine cover. I completely removed the system and used premix. That moped wound up getting crushed by a truck in a parking lot. So I bought the new 2005 to replace it. I picked that one up in a truck and hauled it home. I never started it until I had completely removed the oil injection and filled the tank with premix. I have ridden mopeds 300 miles in one day. I would fill the tank with premix, and then carry two more gallons of premix in one gallon plastic oil jugs in bicycle panniers attached to the luggage racks. I also carried a couple of bottles of two stroke oil, each bottle enough to make a gallon of premix, just in case.
@@geraldscott4302 That’s too much work. Luckily, my Puch had the measuring cup on the gas cap. It required securing the 2stroke bottle to the book rack. The motorcycle looking puch was the only one that had a reservoir with a manual pump at the time.
I was wondering if my CRF150L could do the same and this dude show a 50 cc moped can even do it. What a relief. So now whats the use of the CRF250L or even the Africa twin in this case? Just to consume more gas and money? Comfort?
Flexibility and comfort id say, with the 50cc any offroading is very demanding and i often avoided it. With a better suited Bike you can more easily Go wherever you want
