Get a scooter of Japanese or Taiwanese( Kymco, SYM, Genuine) brands for much better electric reliability. The occasional electric glitches of those beautiful Italian scooters would make you bald for dragging hairs off to figure not problems out.
Just before entering Morocco in Spain I had a defect starter motor. And in Morocco I had a problem with the battery, forget to fill it with battery water and because of that it lost its power. For the rest no problems. I have now almost 75,000 km on the clock!

My German is not so good so I'll answer in English. I also had fear of Panne. But the two times the bike really stopped working I was close to a garage. If you're in the middle of nowhere there will always be somebody who comes by and helps you. The dogs in Morocco were not aggressive. But I had one barking and running along. He was faster than my Vespa and when he was next to me he suddenly stopped chasing me without biting. They want to chase you more than bite you, I think.
The people were very friendly, especially in the less touristy places. I planned my journey at home, collecting information from internet and then creating a route.
I am a motorcycle mechanic in Australia and I can tell you that vespas are the most hated brand in Australia, they cant handle the heat, long distances, or high speeds, Honda postie bike are 125cc and are near unkillable, check out honda c90 adventures he rode one all over the world
I did ride 519km in one day with this 50cc Vespa so long distance is no problem. Personally for me Piaggio/Vespa seats are a lot better. In 2022 I did ride with this Vespa to Turkey and it was almost two weeks 35+ degrees Celsius so heat is not really a problem too. And high speed is not why one would buy a Vespa (or even a Honda 125cc). I agree however that Honda is a more reliable brand than Piaggio Vespa. But I don't know why you wrote this reaction. Do you want to sell me a Honda or something like that?
@@duive01 I don't have to sell you a honda, you stated that honda are so much more reliable than vespa, the Italians should stick to making pizza, pasta and wine and leave motorcycles to the Japanese. When you look at some other Italian brands like fiat ( which stands for Fix It Again Tony ) and the less we talk about alfa Romo the better, we can see that they are not worth a cup full of warm water and Ferrari are a mechanics worse nightmare, overrated and under engineered.

Great journey with such a small engine😎….. was it a 2 stroke or 4……
4 stroke engine
Where is the PCX ?It was a really nice Trip.. Aren t the Vespa Wheels too smal ? 12 inches Best regards Jürgen
Gone. Traded it in for a Vespa Sprint 125.
No the wheel are fine. Only on real rough terrain bigger wheels are a must.
Very nice ! Moet ook durven hé . 😅
Inspiring one.....
Post more videos plz
Hello sir
are there enough gasoline stations to get gasoline or you have reserve can?
What was averige cosumpson ?
How much did your trip costs you ?
It seems nobody steel there.
thanks for answers if it's posible.
Wish you all the best and
Greetings from Slovenia
Yes, enough stations. My Vespa LX50 can do 350km so no need for a reserve can. Average consumption about 45km on 1 litre.
I had shit experiences with my last 2 e-bikes. Planning to get a scooter next year, since I am poor, it will be 50cc. If it's good enough for Morrroco, it should be good enough for Quebec.
It is a quality scooter so must be ok. I get about 45 to 50 km on a litre of fuel.
Get a scooter of Japanese or Taiwanese( Kymco, SYM, Genuine) brands for much better electric reliability. The occasional electric glitches of those beautiful Italian scooters would make you bald for dragging hairs off to figure not problems out.
Never believe in the hype per e-bikes for "range" and " "environment-friendliness".
@darcychu9652 Vespa is pretty good. The battery problem I had was my own fault, I did not check it properly.
would it be possible to make such a trip on a modern vespa 50 cc 4 stroke? or are they too weak?
and in my country they are also restricted to 45kmh
Yes, it would be possible. I don't think they are weaker than my older 50cc 4 stroke Vespa LX.
@@duive01 yes yours have a bit more HP. they are 3 HP now. can you ride a bike like this in mountains?
@@annashealthylifeeverything8583 most of the time no problem but with very steep hills you go very very slow
@@duive01 may I ask how slowly? like 20?
Welcome in my country man i am from casablanca i just bought a vespa 50 cc 2 stroke do you think i can make it woth my new vespa primavera touring?
I have a 4 stroke so it is different. But I think your Vespa can do very well.
@duive01 do u think I can tour on my 400cc 2023 burgman up hills, it's fuel injection?
@@jasontomica8938 absolutely, 400cc must go uphill easy
@@duive01 Oh okay I just wanted to make sure thanks
Who needs a GS !
Super....!!!
Bravo ! I have Vespa LX50 2T graffite black, you are amazing !
Thank you.
2 stroke is the way to go
@@fintonmainz7845 2 strokes are crap compared to a modern 4 stroke, especially for long distance touring.

How many issues did you have along the road? My 50cc vespa iget (2018) has 19000km and has had zero issues thus far.
Just before entering Morocco in Spain I had a defect starter motor. And in Morocco I had a problem with the battery, forget to fill it with battery water and because of that it lost its power.
For the rest no problems.
I have now almost 75,000 km on the clock!
Why did they ride 50cc? Isn't it exhausting with 50cc? I watched with great pleasure.
No, the Vespa is very comfortable, I can ride it for 10 hours a day easy.
I'm glad you enjoyed watching the video.
ЛАЙК !!! 😊👍
Sir, in which month did you this adventure?
March and April
Hello, did you speak French or Moroccan to do all this? 50c.c have you wrote a book. Regards from uk
A little bit of French and English, once communicated by Google Translate in Arabic.
Did not write a book.
I you're thinking about doing this, just do it. It was so great.
@@duive01 hello again, I travelled into Morocco and at passport, the guy, asked ' Juliet ah where is Romeo', standing next to her, I replied silently, so I became her shadow and slipped into the country at Agadir then bused to Marrakesh.
The country is beautiful, the people are gentle . The street food is delicious.
All of this was an antidote to the busy, bicycle shop life I was living.
It's a nice idea to go back and scooter, but you've got something extra, regards Dave h
Great scenes and scenery but a commentary would have made this 10 x better
I'm sorry but commentary is not my style (yet)

Respekt ich hätter immer Angst vor einer Panne oder Hunden.
@@duive01 thank you all the best.
Goe gedaan jonguh, en da op un Italiaanse fiets!
Koop gewoon een betrouwbare Honda, vriend.😏
Daar denk ik idd aan. De Vespa is versleten nu, na 78000km
Whats the top speed of your Vespa?
About 55km/h
my vespa lx 150 2013.....

👏👏👏👍👊❤️🙏🍾
Wonderful video journal. I'd be wary as an infidel in a Muslim culture and far from home. What were the people like? Did you have a guide book?
The people were very friendly, especially in the less touristy places.
I planned my journey at home, collecting information from internet and then creating a route.
@@duive01 OK, thanks, Proost
wow! on a 50cc!
It is relaxing on a 50cc.
@@duive01 For sure. My first scooter was a Yamaha Zuma 50cc that would hit 45mph. It was great

N O T especially dangerous?? The camels 🐫 are FABULOUS⚠️❕‼️
No, not dangerous at all and Morocco is a very beautiful country.

What you mean by crossing the borders between morocco and western sahra 🤔🤔🤡
Yeah, there was no real border but there was one on my map
Please correct its colled à moroccan Sahara not à western Sahara, please correct that tanks
My information comes from Google Maps, there it is called Western Sahara
