When you mentioned robots I almost spat out my tea I was laughing so hard.
@DanielDeviant No, I mean because the concept of robots in Postman Pat is just so bizarre. It's hilarious.
In the movie trailer postman pat said muffins like in hoodwinked too.
This is why I’m glad I saw The Shaun The Sheep movie in theaters.
The only good thing about this movie is that David Tennant is in it

I never seen the original show, but from the trailer, I KNEW this was going to be a really bad film. Like, this is what The Peanuts Movie would have been like if the Shultz and Steve Martino weren't in charge of the project.
Schultz was already dead when the Peanuts movie hit theaters
I remember the Postman Pat cartoon and it was one of my favorite (and underrated) cartoon when i was a kid.
and i watching this movie in 2014 and I HATE IT SO MUCH.

2:14 to 2:26 - The big difference between Postman Pat The Movie and those other examples of movies based on TV cartoons is that the other examples were made by the creators of the shows they're based on whereas PPTM was made by an entirely different crew that were never involved in the show. Another TH-camr I like says that a film based on a show is more likely to be both faithful and enjoyable if it's made by the show's creators rather than someone else
The moment I saw the title of what you were reviewing, I was immediately hit with memories of watching some of the series when I was five. And now that those memories have been found, they have been crapped on by the director of Hoodwinked Two...

I actually watched this film when it was on TV a while ago. I, as most millennials, grew up with Postman Pat. I also got the early noughties reboot which stayed pretty faithful to the original show from the 80s. When I was little, I used to really like quaint animated programmes like the 1985 Fireman Sam VHS we had in school, Kipper the Dog, Noddy (I had a VHS of the 1992 one), Angelina Ballerina (pre-reboot) and, yes, Postman Pat. I mean, I was already in my mid-teens when this film came out so clearly, it wasn't for me, but this is just not a Postman Pat film. Postman Pat's teeth look really creepy in this film as well.
Which Postman Pat are you referring to? The real one or the robot one? Because the latter makes more sense in terms of creepiness.
I personally really hate the "lie to spouse about money troubles" plot. If we're supposed to buy that these two are really devoted to one another, then don't have them lie and hide things from each other! But this movie just threw in, like, four different plots points that do not go together.
Also, is it bad that I found Jess-bot's design more appealing than the actual Jess?

This movie's biggest failure is the lack of stop motion. That's sacrilegious.

Do you think the movie should've focused mostly on the technology plot and the singing contest plot should've been completely removed?
I personally think it should have focused on a plot involving Pat being an actual postman.
The animation makes me feel uncomfortable, the backgrounds are just so empty and lifeless,and the character animation, just feels wrong.
3:22 and everyone in 2014 harked on Rio 2 for too many subplots
General Horse At least Rio 2's sideplots, despite how all over the place they were, at least you could actually get engaged or at the very least entertained by and at least had a total of I think 5 side plots. Postman Pat The Movie on the other hand has over 9 sideplots and none of them are intresting nor fun.

Shameful! I think I'll request Mr. Enter to do a future Animated Atrocity on this movie. We get plenty of American cynics thinking they can do this, but it's especially shameful when it's a UK product that has to share the shelf with the purity of Aardman.

Yes he did! In series 1, he was solo. But in series 2, and the rest of the show, he's had them.

Jambareeqi can you review this obscure French/South Korean film called the rain children it's a Romeo and Juliet storyline nothing original but it's worth seeing for the beautiful animation and visuals I remember seeing it as a kid when i was at my grandparents for Christmas (though it REALLY hard to find online😓) but I think you can find the DVD somewhere 😉

+Jambareeqi ok then 😉😉😉 I remember that when I was 11 on Christmas Day I was bored and one of my gifts was this movie my grandparents ask me to watch this movie while I was waiting for my mom my the time the movie was done my mom came to pick me up I asked her if I can take the movie home and she said of course even though she has never heard of it. So I was obsessed with the movie and I had it until I was off to college so I was wondering if you can review the movie cuz I only remember a few parts of it. 😉 thank you for considering it.

+Demon Rantz It's good that a movement like this has been started but I'm shaky about Doug Walker's sincerity behind the campaign, he only started officially addressing it once it started effecting him personally and Channel Awesome has had plenty of criticism towards their own business practices. I hope it leads to some progressive change but don't expect me to praise Walker as some hero.

+Demon Rantz I wouldn't say corrupt is the right word, they're just a tad biased and inept when it comes to the copyright system. They've got to keep their shareholders happy, which I understand but a little fairness towards creators is at least warranted.

This is super bad and takes away the manic from the original stop motion from the 90s up to 2006. When I was like 5 I loved watching the ones from the 2000s
