Ngl, as a kid, I never liked adventure time. But when I watched that one episode with ice king and marcellene, that honestly made me cry. That one episode where ice king slowly turned INTO ice king was so masterfully made. One of the saddest things I have seen.

Johnny Test wasn’t even bad though?? Like it had funny ass plot, the dog (Doukie, if that’s how his name is spelled) was the realest, the sisters and their obsessive love for Gil always added something to each episode it seemed, and the dad being a stay-at-home dad and the mom being the breadwinner was different and refreshing as a kid. 🤧 Of course, I was a child but that show was so underrated🤌🏻

What about Disney XD? In the mid 2010s, Disney Channel became so reliant on live action programming that all their animated programming would move to Disney XD. Before, Disney Channel would air animated shows like Phineas & Ferb and Fish Hooks, and eventually Gravity Falls and Wander Over Yonder. In 2014, Fish Hooks ended, both Gravity Falls and Wander Over Yonder moved to Disney XD, and Phineas and Ferb was reaching the end of it's initial run. Doesn't help that starting from here up to 2017, every new animated series (most of which aren't that good) would premiere on that channel, while the main one just gets live-action sitcoms. It wasn't until 2018 when Disney Channel began airing cartoons again with DuckTales 2017 and Big Hero 6: The Series (both of which would return to Disney XD near the end of their respective runs) and would premiere newer ones like Big City Greens, Amphibia, The Owl House, and The Ghost and Molly McGee before having those shows get reruns on XD until they lose relevance and the only way to watch them is through Disney+. As of 2018, Disney XD has been nothing but a rerun channel with the only shows getting new episodes being it's gaming shows (which were introduced in the previous year) that were slowly being phased out, and anime such as Yo-Kai Watch, Beyblade Burst, Pokémon (Seasons 20-22), Inazuma Eleven Ares, and eventually Yu-Gi-Oh! and Bakugan. You can even blame Disney Channel for being the reason why Nickelodeon wasn't so cartoon-focused in the 2010s, giving CN a chance to flourish over both of them in terms of animated content with so many good series airing at once with them all ending by the end of the decade, with the only thing holding them back being all the Teen Titans Go! reruns and how the network became so dependent of that series.
i'm a firm believer that craig of the creek is one of cartoon network's best 2010 cartoons, and it doesn't get talked about enough. glad it got mentioned, but i wish it was done more justice overall in the community
It lasted longer than regular show with 6 seasons and is 4th in all Cartoon Network originals in episode. Especially considering in the time we’re in right now during the 2020s. It definitely was really successful up with the big 3 that doesn’t get enough attention on how successful it was
Mid 90's to mid 00's is the goated era imo. There are so much more cartoons from that time that didn't appear on the video like Batman the Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Megas XLR and my goat (after Courage, Ed, Edd and Eddy and Samurai Jack) Duck Dodgers of the 24th Century to name a few, being a kid in the early 2000's with access to CN was a blessing, you could come home any time and tune in to CN and catch a good show
I honestly think you should give Clarence some more credit lol I always enjoyed the stories and I think its pretty underrated as far as 2010s cartoon shows go Edit: Also Summer Camp Island and Mao Mao are awesome you take it back >:(
If I remember correctly, both Evil Con Carne and the Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy started as a different show - "Grim and Evil", which was split into three sections, one following Con Carne and the other two following the Billy & Mandy characters. Eventually the show ended and both segments got their own shows, meaning Billy & Mandy is technically a spinoff.
Technically not a CN show but it aired on the same network, but an underrated show I remember watching in 2013 is Grojband-a Canadian musical comedy made by the same studio as Total Drama, which follows 4 teenagers who start a garage band but-being unable to write their own lyrics for their songs-they would drive the band leader's bossy, mean older sister crazy so that she would write in her diary so that they could borrow for inspiration. While not as great as Adventure Time, Regular Show, or Gumball, Grojband has plenty of great humor and catchy songs, which each episode having a song at the climax, and it's honestly a show I wish will get a second season to flesh out the characters and continue to entertain us with its amazing songs, especially if we ever have to put up with nonstop reruns of Teen Titans Go!, which can go bite Bender's shiny metal ass.
Honestly, I thought that the mid to late 2000's era was the best, cause of shows like Chowder, Camp Lazlo, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and Codename: Kids Next Door
Quick rant As a kid(born in 2005), I remember appreciating how much variety Cartoon Network had in their shows. I mean, around 2015-2016 Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gumball, Steven Universe, Teen Titans Go, Uncle Grandpa, We Bare Bears, and Clarence were all coming out with new episodes at the same time and it was amazing to live through as a kid. episodes for every show would drop on new episode thursdays and it felt like every show was just spitting out episodes left and right. and yes i lowkey loved clarence, uncle grandpa, and the early seasons of ttg lol. it all genuinely went downhill for me in 2017 when Regular Show ended and CN pushed shows like Adventure Time and Steven Universe either completely off the schedule, or at the 6am time slot. Every day I would turn on the tv and it was ALWAYS teen titans go, it would be maybe 2 episodes of gumball, we bare bears, clarence, or ben 10 2016 if i was lucky, but CN filled like 80% of the weekly schedule with TTG for almost all of 2017 i’m not even exaggerating. i remember when OK KO started and the schedule was literally just TTG and OK KO with like 2 episodes of clarence or gumball. at this time, they still had a good variety of shows that they could have been airing at their own time slots like they were in 2015 but instead TTG took over the entire schedule. Not to mention, CN treated shows like Adventure Time and Steven Universe like complete shit in 2017. they would never air reruns of either of these shows even after new episodes aired. It felt like Adventure Time was being forced to end because of CN’s harsh treatment of the show, and I did not understand why they wouldn’t air Steven Universe knowing how hungry the fanbase was, especially at the time. None of what CN did in 2017-2018 made sense and it lead to their dumpster fire era of 2019-2023 where they cancelled every single show after no more than 3 seasons (if they were lucky to even get a second.) not even gonna get into how they pushed infinity train and summer camp island to hbo max then cancel infinity train for no reason. thanks if anyone actually reads all this lol
I remember when Craig of the creek came out, I didn't watch it at first, but recently my little brother was watching it on the TV I sat down to watch it with him and I got to say it's kind of cool 👍🏾

Because of your video mentioning Infinity Train as forgettable I actually tried to see if I could find it because I had never heard of it and the art style looked exactly like what I enjoy. I can now say I love the show and agree with its 8.6/10 rating. I know this may sound odd, but thank for including it in this video even if you yourself didn't enjoy it, I found a new show because of you.
The fact that you didn't seem interested in amazing superhero shows like JLU and YJ I'll forgive, as that might be a difference in taste, but calling Infinity Train forgettable is insane to me. Good video nonetheless though, so I'll sub 👍

Ben 10 wasn't rebooted 3 times. It was rebooted once. The later series for Ben 10 were time skipped continuations into his teens before the reboot in 2016.
I think in 1992, the FIRST Cartoon Netowrk was called “The Moxy and Flea Show” which is most likely lost media, since IMDb says “2 episodes” of the show.
Clarence is literally just a show about growing up. It’s about being a kid and all of the dangers and happy moments that come with it. It’s also about a kid with an insane amount of adhd. If you weren’t a hyper energetic kid then you probably won’t get it not a dig or anything just the truth🤷♂️
Summer camp island was one of my favorite CN shows as a kid. It has such a sunny vibe, cool plots and entertaining characters. If it’s bad from a critique’s point - fine, I won’t judge. But as a kid, it made the job done - kept me watching And I literally watched like 3 Infinity Train seasons in 1 evening
Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast is a special case to me - while it's definitely low-budget and a very acquired taste, the fact that it's a kind of crazy, chopped-up version of an otherwise bog standard superhero cartoon from the 60s makes it a kind of spiritual predecessor to the Abridged Series, which makes it special in my book.
Nothing personal, but the one who claims that the 2010s were just the best era in Cartoon Network, he was clearly not born and did not find the period of Cartoon Network 1998-2007. The period of a huge variety of animation styles in cartoons, the presence of beautiful chic bumpers, minimal censorship, the presence of adult black humor and satire, the absence of a political agenda of minorities. All this and much more has made the channel a truly popular and worthy competitor to Nickelodeon. And cartoons of the 2010s are too overrated for me. And in fact, it was already at this time that problems appeared because of which Cartoon Network would soon literally fall. Yes, I also liked cartoons of the 2010s at first, but soon after many years I reviewed the cartoons of the 90s-2000s and compared them with the 2010s and changed my point of view, realizing that everything was not as good in the cartoons of the 2010s as it seemed to me before.
Clarence did such a good job at portraying how real kids act that the whole show, imo, is incredibly wholesome. It wasn’t groundbreaking, and by the time it came out there were already a lot of goated shows in the run, but I really think most people that hate it didn’t give it a chance. I randomly watched all of it when I was 21 and liked it more than when I was little
you know, its pretty rare to see a cartoon reviewer actually, _honestly_ rate the more iconic shows that are held in wide regard. At first when you started tearing into Flapjack and mentioning the aspects of Regular Show that make it more formulaic than most people care to admit, i almost instinctually wanted to be mad. But they're entirely legitimate criticisms, and its honestly rather refreshing to hear rather than the 20th person just talking about how zany it is, and makes the stances and viewpoints you take all the more genuine and honest.
Over The Garden Wall. I rewatch it every fall. The music, the animation, the writing… Yes its a mini series but its one of the best things CN has ever made.
Man slandered flapjack but praised mad 💀 Good video but you gotta understand adventure time, Steven universe, regular show and all their spinoffs don’t exist without flapjack
I watched wayyy more nick & Disney than Cartoon Network when I was younger so I’m still behind on the shows I want to watch lol. Nice video (I am a Johnny test defender even though I haven’t seen it in a long time lol)
Where's Ed Edd N Eddy? Also its not exactly uncommon for gruesome imagery to appear on tv shows just ask Invader Zim and Courage The Cowardly Dog. Those 2 shows had some really brutal scenes and the art style for the former was really creepy.
I KNEW I WASN’T THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED THAT.. like idk abt breadwinners tryna be like regular show but Sanjay and Craig.. it just gives me regular show vibes but a more wack version of it😅
I loved Clarence with all my heart- I still watch it every now and again. It was essentially messy early 2000's boyhood, and it always felt so real. There's some weird disturbing parts that appeal more to adults , however I think that just adds to it! And although this is less about the show and more about 'politics' I suppose, Clarence was the first show I saw where there was a character with two moms, and anytime it was brought up, nobody batted an eye- It was completely normal and I absolutely loved growing up with that mindset. Even as a 7 year old girl, I never thought twice about the fact Jeff had two moms ❤️
Funny enough, Johnny Test wasn’t originally meant for Cartoon Network, it was a show for Kids WB (the first season even aired with a different and much longer theme song) But it aired when that block was on the decline so when Kids WB got its plug pulled, they quickly gave the show to Cartoon Network (which is where it stood for 6 Seasons after a small intro change)

_Adventure Time,_ _Regular Show,_ and _Amazing World of Gumball_ are the reason why CN Real ended for good. Funny how CN aired live-actions at the time, despite it's called CARTOON Network for a reason.
I 💯% agree but before CN real, we had Cartoon Cartoon Fridays, toonami and CN city to which prove its the best eras
@@poweroffriendship2.0 no?
cn real as a block disbanded before any of those 3 premiered, and there was still live-action shows airing well after they came out
You forgot Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. It was goated. The best SD ever. There were also Inazuma Eleven and Bakugan. Those were pretty good
I watched it a lot on Netflix I watched every episode
Ngl, as a kid, I never liked adventure time.
But when I watched that one episode with ice king and marcellene, that honestly made me cry. That one episode where ice king slowly turned INTO ice king was so masterfully made.
One of the saddest things I have seen.
If you haven’t watched it, do so. There’s more episodes as good or better than that one. Trust
well the first 2 seasons were very childish, then it got more and more mature, with 3 season being somewhat in a transition between childish and mature. honestly it's so weird how different the first 2 seasons feel compared to the last seasons. but at the same time it's kinda cool if you are watching it while growing up
Johnny Test wasn’t even bad though?? Like it had funny ass plot, the dog (Doukie, if that’s how his name is spelled) was the realest, the sisters and their obsessive love for Gil always added something to each episode it seemed, and the dad being a stay-at-home dad and the mom being the breadwinner was different and refreshing as a kid. 🤧 Of course, I was a child but that show was so underrated🤌🏻
Im saying. That show was the shi
It’s overhated for the same reason as teen titans go. Everything in it especially the whip cracks got repetitive quickly after season 3, low budget flash animation and CN airing it nonstop. It’s still enjoyable
@@cyberianknight19yearsago25tbh I totally get that. As a kid though, I guess I didn’t really see it or at least care as much since my child brain was different. But teen titans go is just horrendous dawg😭 at least I could watch Johnny Test and not roll my eyes at some little musical number randomly popping up or just cringe at their inability to have a problem solving thought as well as somehow be heroes lmao.
i bet johnny test did get repetitive quick but i was in a hotel not to long ago and got to watch for the first time in forever with my brother and i still found it pretty funny idk maybe thats just me
Clarence was fire idk what yall are on about. It was funny and quite pleasant in some ways, but it always did a really good job at encapsulating what it feels like to be a kid/ indulge in childlike wonder
I've realize these ppl just follow.what other ppl say
from what i Remember of Clarence was a somewhat bluey like experience, that sometimes you got to notice the parents and their struggles. but it has been almost a decade since i watched it. and even back then i barely watched it.
I felt like infinity train was really great, I don't understand why you said it was forgetable. I honestly sticked with me lots when I watched it and I really loved the story and got into it.
Thinking back, it probably would've been better to say overshadowed, rather than forgettable. AT, RS, Gumball, etc still aired so much more than the newer ones. Bad word choice.
@@officialmungtotal drama is not a CN original, it's a Canadian show.
same with Johnny Test, it's original home was kids w, then Teletoon
To be fair, the best seasons were on HBO, not Cartoon Network. (Or- Season... Season 4 was ehh, but Season 3 was absurdly good)

Craig of the creek is the only show I continue to keep up with on Cartoon Network, its 6 seasons in and still so good
Definitely a vibe, it feels so nostalgic watching
It lasted longer than regular show with 6 seasons and is 4th in all Cartoon Network originals in episode. Especially considering in the time we’re in right now during the 2020s. It definitely was really successful up with the big 3 that doesn’t get enough attention on how successful it was
Mid 90's to mid 00's is the goated era imo.
There are so much more cartoons from that time that didn't appear on the video like Batman the Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Megas XLR and my goat (after Courage, Ed, Edd and Eddy and Samurai Jack) Duck Dodgers of the 24th Century to name a few, being a kid in the early 2000's with access to CN was a blessing, you could come home any time and tune in to CN and catch a good show
I honestly think you should give Clarence some more credit lol
I always enjoyed the stories and I think its pretty underrated as far as 2010s cartoon shows go
Edit: Also Summer Camp Island and Mao Mao are awesome you take it back >:(
If I remember correctly, both Evil Con Carne and the Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy started as a different show - "Grim and Evil", which was split into three sections, one following Con Carne and the other two following the Billy & Mandy characters.

Looney Toons show is brilliant and hilarious. My childhood was that show and Phineas and Ferb
Quick rant
As a kid(born in 2005), I remember appreciating how much variety Cartoon Network had in their shows.
Gumball, adventure time, and ofc… Steven Universe were my childhood 💜

Ben 10 wasn't rebooted 3 times. It was rebooted once. The later series for Ben 10 were time skipped continuations into his teens before the reboot in 2016.
I think in 1992, the FIRST Cartoon Netowrk was called “The Moxy and Flea Show” which is most likely lost media, since IMDb says “2 episodes” of the show.
Some fragments were found
Clarence is literally just a show about growing up.
But as a kid, it made the job done - kept me watching
And I literally watched like 3 Infinity Train seasons in 1 evening
not talking about ben 10 sequels here is criminal
Johnny Test Slander is crazy
You wanna hear something funny? Ninjago is still going on and just had one of the best seasons in a long time
Ngl I think every era of Cartoon Network is pretty good, I mean each had problems but I sincerely think that every era was great in its own way

yeah he's contradicting himself, it shows how much he watched it.
The space ghost slander is actually insane here but besides that great video
Bro space ghost coast to coast is awesome I love that shit
2010s was great but I swear Teen Titans Go was on at LEAST 70% of the time
Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast is a special case to me - while it's definitely low-budget and a very acquired taste, the fact that it's a kind of crazy, chopped-up version of an otherwise bog standard superhero cartoon from the 60s makes it a kind of spiritual predecessor to the Abridged Series, which makes it special in my book.
I’m new to your channel but I really love your videos so far!!!
SAME
Nothing personal, but the one who claims that the 2010s were just the best era in Cartoon Network, he was clearly not born and did not find the period of Cartoon Network 1998-2007.
I randomly watched all of it when I was 21 and liked it more than when I was little
what’s wrong with johnny test 😂
*whipcrack*
whip crack my beloved
not enough whip-cracks.
you know, its pretty rare to see a cartoon reviewer actually, _honestly_ rate the more iconic shows that are held in wide regard.
Ima be honest, Clarence was my favourite show. Also you missed out not watching Ben 10, I loved watching it

I watched wayyy more nick & Disney than Cartoon Network when I was younger so I’m still behind on the shows I want to watch lol. Nice video (I am a Johnny test defender even though I haven’t seen it in a long time lol)

I legit thought i was the only person who remembered MAD. None of my friends ever knew about it
I will NOT tolerate the Clarence diss. That show was absolutely goated I can’t believe what I’m hearing😭
Where's Ed Edd N Eddy? Also its not exactly uncommon for gruesome imagery to appear on tv shows just ask Invader Zim and Courage The Cowardly Dog. Those 2 shows had some really brutal scenes and the art style for the former was really creepy.
That’s not a 2010s show even tho it used to have reruns during the earlier half of the decade

Funny enough, Johnny Test wasn’t originally meant for Cartoon Network, it was a show for Kids WB (the first season even aired with a different and much longer theme song)
But it aired when that block was on the decline so when Kids WB got its plug pulled, they quickly gave the show to Cartoon Network (which is where it stood for 6 Seasons after a small intro change)
