    Genuinely my first thoughts were that the key had been changed and the originals weren't recognised. I thought there was mechanical release under the centre console/arm rest on these electronic handbrake models but I guess not on the Q5. Looking forward to the rest of the resto, cheers for another good video!

      A lot of stolen recovered cars will be absolutely fine once they’ve had a deep clean, from the cars point of view all that’s happened is someone else has driven it.

    I was amazed after watching your video how unearth can anybody give you thumbs down I’m not a mechanic but always been interested in the Way cars run I come from the The time when the car wouldn’t start you took the top of the distributor to see if there was a spark.
    Unfortunately for old timers like me there go on forever. Although I know nothing about modern technology and fault finding I was able to follow all the way through your diagnosis regarding the issue. Although I’m physically disabled my head still works fine so I will look forward to watching your future videos because it’s never too late to learn even if you’re never be able to do it

And also i think i can say it in everybodys name, we would really love to see more actual repair content, not just timelapsed. They paint all the bumpers separate (and at different times, sometimes at an entirely different factory) from the body these days on mass production cars. Which is why you get this problem.

      Mark Mawson most of them paint are been done by the main dealer in the back yard garage not professionally because they are lease cars when they get the car back after 3 year of leasing cars come with a lot of scratched and stone ships so they do cheap paint and after market parts to make it ready for resale

    Unbelievable and frankly shocking that you were able to reprogram the keys without having access to the now 'real' key that the car recognises (the one the thieves programmed). I knew that thieves use the OBD2 port to start cars and drive them away, but what I learned now is that they can on the spot just make a new key and off they are. Pretty bad that the manufacturer doesn't or cannot stop that.

    • @KeyBrosUK
      @KeyBrosUK 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I know this is a while ago but manufacturer has to build in this option for all keys lost incase, obviously, all keys are lost😂it is annoying though I give you that, some devices can do it in as little as 10 seconds as well which means they are just off with your car before you can blink

    I know this is 3 years ago now but for anyone who doesn’t know what they do is jump in connect obd and run a program that allows “all keys lost” option, means they can code a key right there and then just pulls data from eeprom etc and takes very little time some models under 10 seconds Audi normally a little longer but generally always the same thing and easy to sort. Makes it a massive pain to move around etc though of course.

    Isn't there a manual release for the hand brake? Peugeot includes a flexible cable where the spare wheel is. It has a little 90 degree handle. You put it in a hole on the passenger side floor which then clicks into a part of the handbrake. You then keep turning which manually releases it.

    If it was bought stolen recovered and there was no sign of tampering to start it, the first thing i would be looking at would be key coding, and if the key was recognised. Before that, as almost any modern car is completely dependent on battery power thats the first thing i would have checked before even the diagnostic came out. As to the electronic parke brake being stuck on, whats with the tote boxes??? If you are dealing with salvage, where were the workshop wheel skates? They would have been the very first thing fitted.
