A single ABS sensor being disconnected (in this case melted wires) will likely cause most of those dash warnings. I think you'll be able to get that issue sorted without too much trouble.
As an owner of regular 3.0 TDI Q5 this is my next dream daily car! It is a hell of a ride! And most important it has tiptronic transmission instead of S-tronic (DSG) gearbox. Looking forward for the next videos! Greetings from Slovakia :)
Guess you need to replace the suspension components on the burnt side. With the harness and panel damage it’s a big job… you can do it, just hope it was cheap enough mate 👍
I have the Q5 w\ 3.2 FSI 7spd DSG S-Line. After years of jokes about expensive repairs my mate got the SQ5 with same interior. They just keep pulling when accelerating, great motors. Dont yet know how Ill get the update passed the wife though. Good luck, Ill sure be watching.
Nice sq5! Love the colour/ spec. Hope it isn't too complicated a fix to get it back on the road. 👌 I have tbr same engine but in a c7 allroad running stage 1. It is such an impressive engine. Sounds more like a small block v8 than a diesel, due to the active exhausts. 😂😁
Why did they manhandle it with a fork lift truck when it runs and drives?! Surely those fork lift blades are liable to do a load of damage to plastic undertrays, bottom edges of bumpers etc. I seem to remember they wrecked the bumper on that polo GTi you fixed up a while back. I guess they just dgaf once you've paid?
Ha. You are rebuilding a car like mine 😁 really enjoy the diversity on your channel. I have a MK2 Octavia VRS and SQ5 Plus and so I enjoy this content 👍
He from durham dean 😍😍😍 am in love to that much of a degree it hurts man lol that interior ""DING DONG😍 "" hope not as bad as looks and hope nothing lived or gronded out modules 😢😳 good luck mate thanks for your time and see you soon cant wait 👍👍👋
Just to help you out....everyone that just went straight to ebay to check prices now owes you a tenner😁 Best of luck with this one sir. I think there will be a great deal of interest on what sort of work is required for fire damage.
Can’t wait for the tear down. Will you have to replace a radar sensor and recalibrate. I would be cool to see a calibration. Cool to see electrical issue (back probing) been diagnosed and repaired.
That's a lot of money to be spending on a salvage car without doing a pre inspection in person before you bid. But that is one cracking looking car, when it is all sorted it will be lovely. Going off just Copart pictures is a gamble most the time.
Get it in the workshop, strip the whole front end and whip the engine out so you can assess/repair accordingly. Let the dog see the rabbit! I personally think you have got off lightly.
Burnt wiring.. not good, as it could of tracked back thru (heated the entire harness) replace the lot would be my advice save any gremlins later on down the line 👍
Sure I have seen that car on a video on one of the traveler fighting Channels petrol thrown on the windscreen and set on fire at night outside a chalet
What has happened is they have put a fire lighter block/cubes (used for barbecues) on top of the wheel and it burns the splash guard and ignites the whole car 🔥
Unrecorded sounds interesting. I hope it was first registered in the UK as a few RHD vehicles get imported and put up at Copart. SRUK had a look at a well dodgy Lambo import recently at Copart. Caveat emptor at they say.
I don't know much about the Q5 platform but I thought the V6T badges were for the supercharged 3 litre petrol engines. The engine cover says TDI so which is right ?
@@SavingSalvage I’ve only seen the Petrol ones with the V6T badge on them. I’ve got a white SQ5+ TDI (not as many extras as yours) and mine hasn’t got the arch badges, and is de-badged on the boot. Love the colour of yours!
99% of the time ABS sensors will put the car in limp mode, I’ve had the car not reving above 3k rpm, gearbox getting stuck in whatever gear, popup hood fault start stop fail, etc. Good luck with the wire looms!
A single ABS sensor being disconnected (in this case melted wires) will likely cause most of those dash warnings. I think you'll be able to get that issue sorted without too much trouble.
You should get the black roof lining too. Weird that such a high spec car doesn’t have it already.
I once dealt with similar scorch damage from a large Firework which landed trapped under the wiper arms.
After watching many of your videos, you’ll have that sorted in a few weeks MOT’ed and good to go. Looking forward to seeing the end product.
Hopefully!
These are a great car, would love to own one. The damage is not too bad. You've got this. Will be glued watching this
Thanks mate!
Just wonder how much underneath damage is caused by the copart guys and their forklifts?
Very poor show TBH .
Best colour, best spec SQ5 possible right there ! Well done, I think that is a wise buy.

"Be gentle for christsake"... I know the feeling when you have done your shopping and the teller is throwing your food around
Watching with great interest, just the kind of thing I enjoy, good luck getting it fixed for (relatively) cheap!
They are beaitiful cars - I had one just like that. Worth a fortune - and the colour is amazing :). You'll so enjoy it
Didn't know this version of the Q5, looks mega!! In your hands this will be a sunday job and you'll have a great daily.

Yeah think once you sort the melted wiring all the faults will disappear 👍👍👍 looks sweet as mate 😆
That forklift driver needs a slap

I was thinking the same thing. I think they are expecting it to be broken up
Great looking car Dean, looking forward to seeing you get this one back on the road.
Great buy for you and sure it will get sorted rapid. Nice car. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Finally, ive been waiting for you to get this car. I have one just like it. The gasoline TFSI super charged. I'll be following closely.

Looks like a great car , very jealous hope the damage isn't too much. Can't wait for the next video on it.
Wow, what a fantastic car, love the colour, damage might not be to bad, really looking forward to this one, Great car Dean.
Hi dean congratulations on reaching 66,300 and you will soon be at 66,500 subscribers and well done for all your continued hard work as always
Never do things by halves matey, think it could be a cracking motor if you can get the parts second hand.
She looks great Dean, hopefully it won't be too bad under the wing, the next video should be interesting 👍👍
This is definitely going to be interesting. Should make a brilliant Daily driver though at the end of it as you say. 😀
Nice looking car. Fire damage can be tricky to fix so fingers crossed this one isn't too bad!
Wiring fault cause the fire? Looks like it started in the arch.
What a beautiful car - added to the bucket list. Thanks Sue 😀👍
Beautiful daily Dean,
Exactly what I’ve been looking at myself lately for the Mr’s and obviously has to be sepang blue!!
I’m envious 😫
Nice car hopefully an easy fix, black headliner would really add to the interior!
Buzzing for this Audi series, keep up the great work!
Just to help you out....everyone that just went straight to ebay to check prices now owes you a tenner😁
Best of luck with this one sir. I think there will be a great deal of interest on what sort of work is required for fire damage.
Relatively easy fix when compared to the last RS, at least she drives!
Really looking forward to this one. My mate took me out in his mapped SQ5, it went well and sounded great. Good luck
Yeah they remap to around 400hp. But they have 515ft torque standard!!
Can’t wait for the tear down. Will you have to replace a radar sensor and recalibrate. I would be cool to see a calibration. Cool to see electrical issue (back probing) been diagnosed and repaired.
He's gone and done it again 👀🔥 this is a clean looking car with high specs though looking forward to watching this one
Definitely an abs sensor bringing up the faults on the dash, especially start / stop, Done the same with my motor
Nice moter, best luck. The burn on wing looks a bit like the ghostbusters logo
Looks great, didn't even know they did a plus model. Some more great content for us 👍
Keep up the great work Dean! 🙌🏻
Thanks !
Looking forward to the next update looks like a nice project.

Interesting project, look forward to it 👍😎
Awesome car. Wish you good luck with it moving forward 👍👍
I was bidding on this but went for too much. Good luck for the repair. Those seats 👌
Mate had one of these in grey, rapid but it drank like a fish 🐟 just noticed its the tdi when you opened the bonnet👍
Get it in the workshop, strip the whole front end and whip the engine out so you can assess/repair accordingly.
Let the dog see the rabbit!
I personally think you have got off lightly.
Did you ever do a finale to the sq5 rebuild Dean? Can’t see it anywhere
My dad has an sq5 there so nice to drive perfect daily
Really looking forward to this build
Love it dean, I want one of these myself... Best of luck with it 👍
Thanks 😊
Burnt wiring.. not good, as it could of tracked back thru (heated the entire harness) replace the lot would be my advice save any gremlins later on down the line 👍
That's a great looking car, love that colour 😎 I hope the repairs are simple and cheap 👍
seems to say that copart and you doing checks with car vertical is useless if youve been scammed again
Great video. Lovely car. Hope there's no nasty surprises!
I've never liked the Q version Audi type. But that is a NICE motor Dean...!!! Hope it's a quick fix mate.
Awesome looking car easily sorted by a bloke of your talents
Hi dean hope you and the family have had a good weekend
Looks great! Let’s hope it’s not too bad!!
Nice buy if you have not paid over the odds. Look Nice on the out side and nice seats.
Beautiful car bud looking forward for next upload. This one could b abit of a headache hopefully not expensive tho 🙏👍
Can we see the underneath if the forks from the fork lift has done damage!
Hi dean it looks really nice and it sells quickly for you once you finished it and hope you make a good profit on it
Nice project car, and super content for the channel
Gonna be a stunning motor
damn i love this guy's content ! dude can you please think of selling your fixed car with tickets online ?
Nice one Dean I’ve got a q5 great motor looking forward to seeing the next video 👍
B8.5>B9 in my opinion
Like these best paint spec too
Absolute beauty, cracking family car that.
Good luck. Hopefully it’s not too messy
Me too 😂
Beautiful car , hopefully it will not be too bad under that o/s front wing.
Me too 🥶
Nice car love the colour you nead some second hand parts to keep the cost down!!!!
Already ordered some! And surprising dealer was cheap!
Sure I have seen that car on a video on one of the traveler fighting Channels petrol thrown on the windscreen and set on fire at night outside a chalet
Link? 👀
@@SavingSalvage going though the library on my tube now but it was 8 months ago I saw it will post link when I find it
@@SavingSalvage sorry have looked hard and not found it yet not many could have put rsq5 on the back and be blue
Will be nice to see it finished
Nice buy mate I've always wanted one of these 🙌
What has happened is they have put a fire lighter block/cubes (used for barbecues) on top of the wheel and it burns the splash guard and ignites the whole car 🔥
Beautiful car. Worth the effort to get that back on the road…
About time co part. Let us view again. Sharks 🦈
Hey Dean how much are you looking to get for the Skoda Octavia vrs?
Looking forward to this one
Good luck it looks a wonderful car. 👍👍
Love the Car you took the Brave Pil . Stip her and let's see what the depth of this one is . Colour is awesome 👌
I did indeed! 🤣
Kin savage how they handle them
Shouldn't be a problem for you dean👍👍
Unrecorded sounds interesting. I hope it was first registered in the UK as a few RHD vehicles get imported and put up at Copart. SRUK had a look at a well dodgy Lambo import recently at Copart. Caveat emptor at they say.
Yeah UK car from birth! One of the checklists I check before buying
@@SavingSalvage Good! Hope the repair is straightforward and ot too expensive.
What happened to the blue Golf?
Love the SQ5s, had a '15 and swapped it for the newer shape. Hated that, so now back in a '16. Are there any modifications in the pipeline?
What didn’t you like about the new gen compared to the old gen ?
Fingers crossed its not too bad but it does look like its completely repairable. Hows the V10 doing??
Looking forward to this one !!
weird badges confuse me....somone stuck XCV70 on the back of their Cross country Volvo V70. when the actual term was V70 XC...no such thing!
Nice motor 😎👍
I don't know much about the Q5 platform but I thought the V6T badges were for the supercharged 3 litre petrol engines. The engine cover says TDI so which is right ?
Well it is a V6T as well so not specific to the petrol. Just looked and other cars advertised have the badges too
@@SavingSalvage fair enough. With the rsq5 badge on the back I just thought it might have been another incorrect badge
@@SavingSalvage I’ve only seen the Petrol ones with the V6T badge on them. I’ve got a white SQ5+ TDI (not as many extras as yours) and mine hasn’t got the arch badges, and is de-badged on the boot. Love the colour of yours!

Lovely looking motor, seats are vomiting inducing though.
Nice machine pal my mate use to have one few years ago 👍
