it's a mechanic, every time you interrupt his flying, he gets staggered. I do it by switching to Jinhsi intro all the time. Doesn't seem to work with Yinlin. I think it only works with Jinhsi.
I think Thundering Mephis has a special attack. In ToA middle floor, the Lvl 100 Mephis will sometimes have a red flash in it's eye, it also has a sound indicator, then it will do a 3 hit combo where he slashes 2 times in a row, then one overhead swing with lightning strikes.
tbh i hate the flying bosses. especially is the event domain. bcz they fly around so much, I spend like 70% of the time in the domain running towards them.
@aryn-jaeger if the boss is too close, you can't grapple. Luckily enough, tho, Jue is very easy to reduce the stagger bar compared to other bosses. As long as u can dodge counter and parry, then you will stop Jue from moving at all, giving you a lot of uptime to damage them.
Jue has a special mechanic, if hes flying around, like the sword attack where he hovers all menacingly and strikes down or does the loop di loop flying around before swiping the tail down etc, if you hit Jues head, its 100% vibration break as you interrupt its flying and it drops to the ground. Can also be done if its just flying super high up, you do a cocerto intro with a character that has a fast MELEE hit (Havoc MC for instance) and you slam jue down, insta breaking vibration.
Jianxin is much easier to counter due to lower CD :P Anyway Lumiscale Construct is better used on Sanhua as you cant realy parry when you hold down the button. (and it also deals ice damage) I been trying to find a way for Glacio Dreadmane, but it sucks. (only usefull for characters in air more or less)
Replayed the video and tried the defence counter break on the sword skill jue does its the 2nd attack if you counter that it will break all his defence might be a bug or cause breaking all the guard bar is really dumb😅 but looks cool

Its called cinematic boss, good too look at but not hard. They can technically make him hard easily, copy the moveset of Sekiro Divine Dragon, don't make Jue constantly fly cause that's not going to be fun, and add the time stop ability, if you played or watched PGR videos about the Twins boss, if you fail the dodge, your HP is basically almost deleted. Now do you want that kind of Boss on a non-hologram fight everytime you simply need the materials seriously.
@@balitopic711 I tried using it on the Crownless Hologram, but I don't deal enough damage using the echo. And fighting Jue is actually much more disadvantage for me because Jue doesn't have any "Special Skill", but Jue is funny so why not.

Happens to me too, idk what happens tbh .. and happens more when I use chixia. I dont use echo abilities on Jue.

One underrated echo imo is Zig Zag. It's like having SpecRover's outro, but appliable on demand
