- i went to a reformation sample sale in LA! (i saved HUNDREDS 😱) try on haul! this was such a fun and unique and also chaotic experience lol...there are so many sample sales in LA and this one was the first one i'd seen that has (somewhat) extended sizes so i had to check it out! i have a love hate relationship with reformation due to them not carrying plus sizes in store, having a super limited selection of plus sizes available, and their sizing running super small. but their clothes are SO cute and i'm always drawn back in 😂 all that said, i'm super happy i went and i love everything i got! hope you enjoy xoxoxo

I would be really interested in seeing a 6 month or 1 yr update in the future with these pieces. I sometimes find nicer or more expensive items wearing out faster than my cheaper items (specifically Levi’s denim vs. old navy) but with such cute and somewhat delicate looking items I’d really appreciate an update in the future. 🤗
OR a video on some of the various price point items across brands in your wardrobe that you have and how long they’ve lasted.
I agree. Like is the price point really worth the quality? Compare it to moderately priced stuff at Old Navy and Hollister.
Reformation is a little tricky because some of their items are made in LA and others are not. And some of the pieces not produced here are of lower quality although the price point remains the same. This is my understanding of why the quality can vary so much. So it's totally hit or miss. This has been my experience with Reformation as well when I've purchased things from their sales.

The workout one piece would be so great to wear to another sample sale because it would be so easy to try stuff on over it! Great finds!
Great finds Carrie! I sometimes feel a bit pressured at sample sales to buy something just for the sake of it because I've waited in line and feel like it needs to be worthwhile lol, but I imagine at a Reformation sale I would genuinely find a lot of things that I would really wear/would normally buy and not just because they're on sale. I love Reformation and find their pieces really timeless, they're simple and high quality so I never get bored of them! The black dress you got was my favourite, but honestly these were all really good finds.

omg carrie! I went to this sample sale as well and didn't have much luck on my first pass but then found a beautiful black lace dress that fit me perfectly that was almost $300 on reformation's website so had to grab it. I'm typically a size 4-6 and I totally agree that a lot of the things that I tried on that were sized around that fit way smaller than I was expected. I visited on thursday so I think the selection was much more limited when I went so I didn't have as much luck but I'm so glad you found things that worked for you, always a fan of your videos 😊

I especially love that you found a Carrie top and a Layla lilac skirt 💕 Do they pair together nicely? What a special outfit THAT would be, Carrie and Layla reunited 😘 I also love the lipstick color (and name!) of the red square neck tank top. Could be fun with the Minnie polka dot skort! Hey, in case the shorts section under the skort is too short to avoid chafing , I’ve had good luck popping bike shorts under shorter shorts…can turn out very cute. Red, white, or black bike shorts should work great with your skort, yes? I love love love a good sample sale though I’ve only been to a few. You did good, girl❣️🙂
In terms of sales, it's a good idea to just look at the items in the same way as you would non-sale items. This is the item. This is the cost. Is it worth it to me to spend this much money on this item? If the item was originally priced at 500 dollars and you get it for a 100, you're taking a 100 dollars out of your bank account. You're not depositing 400 dollars into your bank account. You're not saving 400 dollars.

I have to fit my belly (and ostomy), so the chest NEVER fits me on ANYTHING - even if I get a form-fitting (or bodycon) tops. lol
FYI the California Market Center downtown in the fashion district has frequent sample sales! Might be worth checking out for another video!
I used to do the sample sale circuit in NY. The company who was running this sale (260 Sample Sale) started in NY. 260 comes from their 260 Fifth Avenue location. You can sign up for their emails to be alerted to future in person and online sales. I stopped going years ago when I stopped being a sample size and became more conscious about my spending.
Yes, the sizing. So confusing. I'm a shortie and I can't wear any of their dresses really. Even if it's technically "my size." The proportions are all for taller people. And things in their petite line have always fit very strange. But luckily you are tall and the dresses look amazing on you. I'm so glad you found some you liked!

Loved this video and glad you found such great pieces. I went to my 1st sample sale a few months ago and there was some there in a unitard that was able to try on anything/everything. She was clearly a master! Next time I go to one I will absolutely wear leggings and a tank top
