It's actually super easy to get jeans taken in at the waist! My seamstress does it for me all the time and it runs like 20-30$ but they'll fit you like a glove which is amazing!
2nd this! Some of my favorite pants and jeans I've taken to Nordstroms to get taken in at the waist. Favorite jeans are men's Levi's that I got at Goodwill then tailored at Nordstrom.
I was really confused about that too because of the gap isn’t too big I can usually do it myself and I’m not good a sewing! But I also know alot of hip heavy people buy jeans and bottoms to fit their hips and then get them taken in at the waist
Idk how others do it, but my mom is amazing at sewing and takes in stuff all the time, including jeans. She does kind of a V-shaped pleat in the back that hides behind the back pockets so there's little to no evidence. Some people may try to take jeans in from the side, but that doesn't always help with the butt gap issue, and then sometimes space is lost in the hips. V pleats all the way 😊

I have one in my town that benefits a small community theater, and they sometime sell costumes or props they aren't going to use again. You can get some really unique stuff in specialty thrift stores like that! And we love when a shop goes to a good cause, like BTS in this vid ❤

When your jeans are too big in the waist, you can cut into either side of the inside of the waistband and run a shoelace through to tighten them up from then inside! I’ve done it to vintage Levi’s and carharts and it works like a dream!

I’ve seen a few comments with an easy way to take jeans in at the waist with a shoelace. I have a similar suggestion that has worked really well for me and also might be more comfortable than a shoelace. Cut some slits on the inside (not all the way through the front) of the waistband a few inches from the button and the button hole. Pull a thicker piece of elastic through. Create a button hole on the ends of the elastic by cutting a small slice and quickly run a flame over it to keep it from fraying. Then just sew buttons on the inside and you have a waistband that fits perfectly but also has stretch! It takes less than 10 minutes to do it! Hope this helps next time!
Hey there! When I thrift jeans that are slightly too big in the waist but the rest of the fit is perfect, I do the shoelace trick where you snip little holes in the inside of the waist band and feed through a shoelace. Bam! Now you can sinch it as much as you want!
I'm having an incredibly rough week emotionally so this comment may be more dramatic than the situation calls for, but I feel like if we don't get a photoshoot of the fairy dress with a brown belt and some cowboy boots at a pumpkin patch this fall my heart will shatter into a million pieces and I will cry myself to sleep.
Oooh the furniture and lamp sections are so good at this store! I would watch an entire video of that and/or the housewares section which also looks very promising… Idk if it’s where I live but there aren’t many good options for secondhand furniture, even the big chain thrift stores will have like a crusty old couch and a couple of plastic chairs and that’s pretty much it lol
Just something you can try for the old navy dress you can cross the straps over your head to make an X shape in the front kind of like a keyhole neckline and that can make a new silhouette you can try and might help! Love your videos always makes my day ❤😊🎉
