it's pointless to attempt to compare VPN to the giant's navy (PLAN), huge gap exists. i would say VPN comfortably beats Cambodian royal navy.

Và thực tế Việt Nam đã chứng minh qua 3 cuộc chiến tranh chống Pháp, chống Mỹ và chống Trung Quốc.

The more men relied on Technology the easier for others to fight, and take China, for example, China created an entire team of hackers in charge of cyber attack on their behalf. Most if not all of their techs are replicas of American and old Soviet and today Russia, even their newest national rifles are using Ar-15 as a base to develop. If America goes full techs like drones and others, all China need is to focus on their cyber-attack to weaken the US drones. EMP is a thing that can disable electronic devices. What if they focus on developing it more than their conventional weapons? If they have better EMP and start going upper hand on the US? It's not gonna be good. Technologies could be the key to winning a war but you need manpower to use them, you may have more guns and toys but if you don't have enough men to use it, they are nothing more but junks, scraps.

Watch the rest of the video before asking. China famously tactic is the number game, so obviously Vietnam prefers to develop and build smaller ships that cheaper and easily to deploy faster to keep it up with the game because they know China won't shoot first. Big second hand ships are just for patrol, not fighting. Typical southeast asian militaries like the Philippines and Indonesia always stuck with big and shiny weapons = better mentality so look how they struggled in SCS right now.
The same way we beat China in 1979, or South Vietnam in 1975, or the US in 1972, or the French in 1952... need I go on?

Not afraid, we Vietnamese prefer peaceful diplomatic rather than aggressive actions, our Father Ho Chi Minh taught us to be humble toward everyone, and that's why we still befriend with the Americans despite their intervention and the brutal war. Khmer did the same in the past which is why Funan was very big at one point. Khmer attacked Dai Viet, Champa , ... but was defeated by Dai Viet. When Funan/Chenla's kings became weak because of internal fighting, they asked for Dai Viet's help or Siam's help and repaid VN kings or Siamese kings by ceding land to Siam or Dai Viet. If you are bitter and cried eye-out then cried for Khmer weak kings. Viet kings never just invaded Funan/Chenla but it was Khmer kings who gave their land to Viet.

While sinking the Russian ships was a huge PR boost, strategically, I think the attacks hurt Ukraine. Suddenly, Russia doesn't need to give resources to the navy in a ground war. Also sailors who were trained in EM warfare were sent to the front for counter drone and missile operations. Now only 30% of Ukraines make it to the target.
What I can't figure out is why the Russian navy didn't use the same EM tech on their ships.
