Car is super clean. Definitely take your time with parts and get brand name stuff. It’s important that car parts are quality so the reliability is good. I’m going back and fixing/upgrading stuff on my ek hatch I should’ve done better.
This is a very good sounding exhaust but if anyone is looking for a cheaper option with the same exact sound but maybe a tad louder, get a race header and a Burnout brand Muffler which is $95 and a race header is about $90, also with everything installed I payed a total of $285 for the exact same sound and it’s slightly louder. Not to mention there is no tin can sound at all just a deep tone.
My 2000 civic lx has the Yonaka exhaust and a skunk 2 megapower header. Still sounds good, but it is louder. It's amazing how much sound the catalytic converter holds back.
Ah, a nice exhaust sound. I have a rust out spot on my '98 ex. Front pipe at the heat shield. I'm just gonna play your audio on my radio, then my car will sound good to me lol.
@@Vertigopills I cut the shield off and slapped a band clamp on it lol. Ended up selling it to a friend that was in need of a car, then I went Acura lol.

This exhaust sounds real good. Only thing I hate is how the resonator hangs too low and is not level. It angles downwards to the rear. I scrape it alot on speed bumps. I would need to take it to a reputable exhaust shop and have it rewelded straight.
Got a yonaka on my Miata. Sounds great and the bolts were a pain. Soaked them in pb blaster for 5 hours. Heated them with a heat gun and my friend kicked the ratchet until they broke loose
I have the same exhaust on my EM1 but with a turbo and it is pretty nice the turbo quiets it down a bit too maybe I’ll do an exhaust vid once I run it in spring.
Any info on your build ? I’m on a budget build, I wanna turbo but leave the engine stock. Looking really for 330-350whp nothing too crazy. What would be the best motor ? And would a regular 99 civic motor work ? I’m not familiar with Hondas I currently drive G35HR FBO and tuned.
Back in stock Oct 7th, lol they sold out quick. Was a toss up between this one and the Megan black exhaust for me and I'm pretty sure I'm rolling with this yonaka, might paint it with black ceramic though. I've heard people complain about rust after a few years.
I used to have a 98 with the d16y8. It came with a knock off mugen twin loop muffler, it sounded good but rwally came alive when i deleted the resonator.
where’d you get your rims 😩 just got a EX for $1k , all black as a project car. i have STi and don’t know much about honda’s but these look really nice once they’re fully modded. But sadly it’s an automatic 💔 so tbh , i’m just gonna go for looks.
From what it sounds like in the video and my own experience with this exhaust, I would like to ask if you reused all the hardware for your exhaust? I know you may have reused the bolts but I'm asking what about the hangars? I replaced my hangars with it and it sits flush.

For rusty bolts use Irwin bolt grip set. It's a nice little $30 kit that helps a lot!!! Highly recommended
