    Hello, I have the same problem with my Chrysler. First the passenger side went, then the drivers side. I have been putting it off for months but now seeing this video I will have a look over the weekend to try and sort it. Great upload and nice job by the way. Thanks!

    FANTASTIC!!! It took me longer to disconnect the battery! I found two broken wires, one obvious and one with a white mark on it and when I bent it slightly you could see the weakness. Thank you so much. John Gloucester UK

    Thanks for this video! One of my doors opens most of the way, but stops. The panel inside the door was broken, and wouldn't snap in all the way, so when you would open the door it would rub up against the outsid of the van. The door would stop at the exact moment the inside door panel would rub up against the van, so I replaced the panel. The new panel fits perfectly so that it doesn't rub up against the outside of the van, but the door still stops in the same spot. I'm going to check the wires next. Thanks again!

    Just fixed the drivers side and yes, it had one broken wire. I have soldered it together and works great now! Just need to check the passenger side! Thanks for the info on this. It helped a lot. 😀✌

    Worked well, thanks for uploading. For my car there were no less than 6 breaks in one wire. I ended up replacing most of it. Thanks again.

    I originally made this video last year, just reuploaded it because there was problems with the music/soundtrack i had on the original video triggering off the copyright thing with youtube, it worked out handier to delete the original video and reupload this muted version.
    I didnt watch the real fixes real fast video for this problem, it was yahoo answers that pointed me towards checking the wires at the time.

    Here in N ireland there are plenty of both the ordinary and grand voyagers, this particular voyager in the video is a 2005 2.8 Diesel.
    Although i dont see as many driving round as there used to be.

    thanks -- got my door working great but the plastic wire protector would not go back together at the links.. any ideas?? also how does the harness hookup on the rocker panel end hook up??

  • @peugeotCitroen2CV
    @peugeotCitroen2CV  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think these european voyagers are built in austria, i know from looking on wikipedia of the plymouth and dodge versions here we only have the chrysler voyager.
    What about engines in washington, do you get the 2.8 diesel?

    Do you have to solder it together? Not sure if that is the correct word.

    Una pregunta cómo se le llama a la tipo cadena que protegen en los cables de la puerta y si la venden es que mi camioneta voyager XL se le rompieron y andan los cables así sueltos

      HI, the general term for that part is "plastic energy chain" that will possibly start the research into finding what you need.
      Although i would advise joining the relevant chrysler voyager owners club pages/forums and asking on them as there may be people who have a better idea of what works to fix that part.

    Sliding door will open but when you go to close it back half will Not close because of gear !! how do i fix it ??

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi,
      Any more info on what is the problem? Is the gear that drives the door stuck?
      The car in this video was one a neighbour owned and luckily the wires fixed it, I don't have a huge amount of experience of working on other aspects of the voyager although its a relatively simple in its construction I haven't worked on enough of them or on one recently to advise accurately.
      Perhaps one of the owners clubs for the Chrysler voyager (or dodge/plymouth derivatives) would be a better place to ask this question.

      Hello, I have a great Caravan 2005 and there won't be the right door. Can you support me with a tutorial?
      I no longer have access to this voyager, its been a long time since it was here, dont even know if it is on the road anymore. Unfortunately i do not plan on buying one.

    you can also just buy a new wiring harness.

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would probably be the better long term solution, although it might be better to strip out the loom and remake the door loom DIY using quality wires instead of these flimsy ones chrysler seemed to use.

      i saw new ones for $100. save alot of time.

      ***** thats about £60 here, quite a lot for a few wires.

      Been trying to figure out where the other side of the harness connector goes, is it up inside the door panel? Our wires got pinched and several of the links broken / wires frayed, so am looking to just replace the entire harness but can't find anyone that says how to take it all the way out. Everyone just disconnects from the door side and replaces it.

      $100 seems cheap to me. you cant even get a shop to open your hood for less then $85.
