    anja - I'm so glad you posted this tutorial. I absolutely love this blanket. I commented on your photo shoot video. I so love the colors of this blanket but I couldn't wait for the tutorial so I'm making the feather and fan stitch with these colors. I'll make this Chevron with a different set of colors. I absolutely love your tutorials!

    I just bought the yarn kit for this blanket at Black Sheep Wool in the blue colors. How many chains do I cast one to make a baby blanket with this chunky yarn? I know to stop when it's long enough.

  • @dawnamendola8690
    @dawnamendola8690 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I love the idea of hiding ends in as you crochet along but I never have any luck with that ... I can always see the contrasting color coming thru making my work look sloppy and the ends always wind up coming out thru the stitches eventually.

    • @OpheliaTalks
      @OpheliaTalks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Dawn, try and run the ends of backwards and forwards in their own colour, it helps immensely, Anja x

    Love this blanket - be nice to have a super warm blanket like that, but I live in Florida, so then I will need to refrigerate the house with the air conditioner so that I don't melt! Wondering if I did it with a much bigger hook, would it be loose enough to allow the extra heat from the body to escape? Or should I use a lighter yarn with the same hook?

    • @mangot589
      @mangot589 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Julie Enslow personally, I would go with a lighter yarn, even a 3 weight, and use the hook they recommend on the wrap. Unless of course, if you crochet tightly Or loosely, you’d want to adjust. It’s hot where I live too. That looks like a pretty warm blanket. I think if you try to do this pattern TOO loosely, you’re going to lose the effect, but a lighter yarn will for sure make it cooler. Hope this helps.

      Thank you Mango T! I just saw this, but I was still thinking of this pattern. Lighter yarn it is. Hook to be determined after doing swatches.
