Full disclosure: Personally I returned the Vision Pro - for now ... and mostly for the reasons pointed out in the video! Which camp do YOU fall into? Productivity Boost or Too Early to Adopt? Leave a comment!
@ElectricVRoom I agree with you! But given the amount spent to date and also Tim wanting to leave a legacy I think we’re pretty safe to assume it’ll continue.
Great vid! The AVP isn't currently in my price range but I do own a quest 3 and use it for similar productivity reasons along with entertainment. The entertainment value is far worth it for me with immersive 180 vids, 3d movies, social environments and solid immersive and social games. You make a great point that we already have sufficient tech for work purposes so how does VR level up our work? Maybe w what it does best with immersion and bringing remote workers together from any distance?? Lots to explore and I'm definitely convinced it is the future of how we will work.
Thanks, Christian! 😊 It’s awesome that you’re using the Quest 3 for both work and play. I agree-immersive experiences are where VR really shines, especially for connecting with others remotely. I have to say, I was absolutely blown away by watching movies and videos on the Apple Vision Pro. It's not the most productive use, of course, but it’s such a fun and immersive experience. It really adds a whole new dimension to entertainment! Looking ahead, I’m convinced as you are that this is the future of work. Once we overcome some of the current friction-like carrying another device and the price-we're on the brink of a new era of collaboration and productivity that I’m really excited about. What’s been your favourite use case so far? I’d love to hear more about how it’s fitting into your routine!
Awesome, thank you! - lovely to have you on board our growing community! Make sure to let me know any questions along the way so we can share our experiences.
I really enjoyed your video, Kai, specially that my channel is in the same niche, just smaller😅 Nice cinematics and good conclusions about the Vision Pro. I also believe that is a good tool, and in certain circumstances can really make you enjoy your work. However, if someone is missing the basics of how to be more productive, how to analyse a problem and solve it, how to organise a process in the most efficient way… then no sense at all😊
Welcome aboard! - this time we had the benefit of time in Europe … and the software has been a lot better than on day 1 in the US. But still way to go 👍🏼
I could not justify the full cost at launch or now, however enough people are parting with them that I could justify it at 50%. For me, the productivity, the focus, needed psychological relaxation utilizing different environments all tick self desired boxes. I am able to continue earning even in a public setting where as before that was not an option. All of that being what it is, putting on the headset is not always desirable either, so I have allowed myself a secondary option of XReal glasses which are much better for on the move. If I were into gaming I would go for the Quest or another similar system. The same goes if movies and/or other entertainment were a factor.
I agree with you in that there are better options for specific use cases and the price remains a big obstacle. What I do admit is that the quality and technology exceeds those other options and I am excited to see how that translates into a good, and mostl likely more affordable, next version.
Hear it from the guy thats been with VR since it was invented. There is no headset you can wear for longer than 1hr. You just cant. Your eyes are not build for it. Productivity is out the window for that reason. Its a novelty item at best for people that purchasse one. The tactical units, racers, pilots, any type of operators training, VR is a great tool and only tool to actualy make sense.
Totally take your point and value your experience! What I do believe is that as development continues we’ll find ways to extend that (as we did with mobile phones). When? Good question.
There are certainly days I miss the Vision Pro now. Quality of the screen is surely unmatched but I take comfort in that there’ll be an even better version in the future
That may well be the case. I have not tested the Meta or other VR devices. In light of my own usage the Apple Vision Pro was an obvious candidate since it connects to most of my other aspects of work. And while I am impressed by the quality and the visuals it doesn't quite justify the price tag for me and my needs. What is interesting to me is that I never really considered other VR devices as the advertisement is often targeted at the games market but I am sure the applications reach far beyond that.
I think the market will expand eventually but for now I do agree - it’s a good basis for a product though and can only recommend to test it out in store. I’m sure we will see a much more useful and refined version in a couple of years.

Too Early. I just hope there is enough early adopters so they keep developing the device
@ElectricVRoom I agree with you! But given the amount spent to date and also Tim wanting to leave a legacy I think we’re pretty safe to assume it’ll continue.
One of the rarest videos with good inputs about vision pro
Thank you so much! Would love to hear your view when you had a chance to check it out!
As someone who worked at Apple and had to sell these, very well done video!
Thank you 🙏🏼 🤩

So true - same with everything... AI for example... its a great tool but you still need to ask the right questions! Agree 100%
very honest review, thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Always prefer EU centric tech reviews. Subbed!

I personally disagree. I’m a relatively heavy user but can wear headsets for hours. Writing this in my Vision Pro right now.

Get a meta quest 3. It costs $500 and does a hell of a lot more than the apple Vision Pro. There's nothing groundbreaking here.

Too small market.
It is useful only in the worker education training system.
