I just want machinist's damage to be good and flashy. I flip flop from Summoner to Machinst weekly during Endwalker content, the damage and utility difference is just massive. My original hope for the change to Flamethrower was adding some utility effect to it, like an AOE Dispell effect, similiar to Bard's "The Warden's Paean". So here's my hope for a better Machinist experience in Dawntrail.
flamethrower is just so useless it's sad, it's looks cool but you're doing like no damage sadly, i hope they eventually change it, your idea sounds cool for it.
