  • Science museums are great places to satisfy your science cravings. But do they really empower you to do science yourself after your visit? We decided to go and find out at Kopernik Center in Warsaw during a night at their biotech lab with Stanislaw Loboziak.
He also got us in touch with Mariusz Pożoga, that started his own plant propagation lab, bridging grass roots science and business.

I'd be really interested to unpack the idea that the equipment in Kopernik is too intimidating to support DIYbio... Are you suggesting that science centers/institutions shouldn't provide access to facilities? Or might there be other reasons why the situation is not empowering people to do biology themselves.
I'd imagine it could be an issue of awareness, community building and creating a feeling of agency... but I'd be really interested to hear Stanislaw's take on it...
